My psychology professor also said it is better when you speak with your child in your native language. Because children learn the language without mistakes the best from native speakers 🤓 also children learn automatically and very fast the language of their environment, while it is more hard for us adults 🙈
It would be great if you teach your baby all the languages you speak, because it’s a way of communicating with your whole family. Plus the more languages your baby can speaks the more better it will be for it’s future. I think in today’s society we need to be able to communicate with everyone, so starting young it is normal. Your baby is blessed for having such fantastic parents. God bless!
Looking back at this video and now that your baby has a Pulaar name, you should have your Dad and Sister facetime with her often to speak Pulaar and you should too along with German, it will help her have a connection to her name. When she gets older she'll be able to connect to all her heritage Korean, German and Pulaar.💞

Once a Black friend allowed me to touch her hair. I was suprised how light and soft it was. Aisha your hair is beautiful and I'm glad you wear it natural. I see so many Black women going through so much pain, money, and time for the cornrows. Consequently many later have to deal with alopecia.

Love you guys videos, and watching you and your husband grow. My suggestion is after your children reach a certain age start teaching them English. That so important because English is a international language and they can go anywhere in the world and be able to communicate with understanding and they will also be more valuable even in their own country. Whatever they choose to be they can move around the world and have some form of communication. Just my opinion 🤷.

Since Fanta is already 100 days old my suggestion for languages is this. Speak Korean and German as much as possible to her and speak English as much as possible between each other. She will learn Korean for sure. She will probably learn German as well. And she may pick up a lot of English along the way.
love you guys, you are such a great couple, and you seem so happy together. a suggestion... you can also teach your child italian and pulaar because children can understand and learn things easier and faster so one more language is not gonna be too hard for it. for example i am italian and my mom is brazilian besides portuguese and italian i also know perfectly spanish and english and i learned french at school (but of course my french is not that good) your child will be able to speak fluently a lot of languages and this is gonna help him/her so much in the future so don't lose this wonderful opportunity.
just imagine your child becoming a prodigy knowing: korean, italian, german, english, pulaar and maybe other languages learnt at school.

Yes Please I look forward to your future video on how you learned Korean. I am using Pimsleur audio course and supplementing it with Duolingo app and the Rosetta Stone Korean course. I find it easier to learn without the reading/writing component when I am first learning. But now that I have learned the Korean alphabet, it helps my ability to visualise the words in my head as I use Pimsleur audio only. Now I can understand more and more dialog in Kdramas that before I had no reference point for.

I hope things work out for your parents to come when the baby is born. I assume that you have a good relationship with your in laws, but moms always want to be there for their daughters when they have children.

Hi to the beautiful couple, speak or teach your child as many language that you can teach, children can learn minimum 3 language at the same time until 3(easier) years old. You don’t need to worry about Korean language, she will learn it whether you teach them or not because you live in Korea. When you put her in the daycare there and when she go to school she’ll learn Korean. Aisha, you speak German, Italian and Pulaar , i suggest that you teach your child all the language that you know.Don’t worry too much about Korean, she will learn it 100%. About english, she can learn it in school since they have english language subject. Try to teach your child as many language as you can speak. You will not regret it, and since you can speak that many language why not teach your child. You can ask you parents too, when they will talk to your child on the phone they can speak in their language. When you let your child watch cartoons let them watch it in German and Italian.
The more foreign languages we know the better. Aisha’s daughter is blessed with the opportunity to learn multiple languages in a natural environment. Carol Chomsky, a famous US researcher of children’s language acquisition, found that the younger you learn foreign languages the faster you learn. Children have infinite cognitive abilities to learn different languages. Cheers happy couple!

I enjoyed watching your video. Like you I am also biracial with a black mother speaking French and Father speaking Spanish. I grew up speaking French, Spanish and a dialect fluently then English as well. I wanted my son to speak French because this is the language spoken by most of my family. My son had a hard time hearing so many languages and our pediatrician suggested to only stick with one language and we chose English since my husband is American and we live in America. My son grew up speaking only English but now he is fluent in 3 languages including German. We are not german but he loved the language and went to Munich for two summers to study German. We live in Orange County, California which is a melting pot as you meet people from all over the world, easy to make friends and quite a large Korean community too. Congratulations on your baby.
