I love Resident Evil 4 with all my heart. It's one of my all-time favorites and I'm actually piecing together a project on the game and its remake myself. That being said, you clearly approached this game with a good mindset, one that benefits your delivery and tone throughout. I've been recommended your work by @thesummerofmark and I'm thrilled to say that this relatively lengthy video kept me entranced through all 45 minutes. Please continue doing what you're doing, because it's great to see videos that show their passion towards games and series they appreciate, even if you have issues with the subject. Awesome work.
8:45 sorry got me thinking about ruining the world with a bio weapon. Wouldn’t insects be ideal? Mosquitos, great airborn carriers of infectious diseases? Has re used the mosquito as a bio weapon before or would that be too combiner cause the bad guys might get their way?
Let’s go💙🔥😎 great job, having played it last year for the first time,I think it’s easily a great game and I respect the era it came out, loved your input on it for sure, subbed already
Thanks. It's hard to know what to say about a game that so many have already weighed in on, but with the remake on the horizon I wanted to share my thoughts on this classic.
33:32 the first time I played through re4 was with a bunch of buddies of mine. We’d take turns and itd always be funny cause when we loaded up the save we knew who played last based on how the attaché case was organized.
1:36 I know the video just started but idk if you’ve listened/watched Noah Caldwell gervaiss’s exhaustive synopsis on the entire series but he brings up this hilarious point about how by the time re6 comes around, biohazard outbreaks are just the cost of doing business. Worldwide zombie attacks have become part of the economy, late stage capital necessitates the maintenance of multiple privately owned anti-bio weapon task forces for hire! Lol it is funny but increasingly More realistic day by day despite its absurdity. The Dow Jones must continue to operate despite multiple massive B.O.W. Attacks
Great vid dude. Reminded me that I have a RE4 PS2 LE steelbook that has never actually been in any PS2 I've owend 😂 RE4 was very much a post-pub/work pass the pad affair on GC for me.
I played it to the end for the first time in my life last week, and as much as I’m still not as fond of it as most people seem to be - it made me excited to see how the remake holds up, and if it improves on stuff I didn’t like.
I think being there at the time has a big impact on stuff like this and is actually one reason I really support the remakes. It's one thing to say "oh it still hold now" if you're a 30+ something who was there when it happened, it's another if you just turned 18 and this is your first RE game.
@@arkham666 I played it back in the day mate but I never enjoyed it enough to actually push through to the end. Not to mention the fact that the PC version I played back in the 2000’s was awful, and this “Ultimate HD version” became enjoyable only after using RE4 HD Project + RE4 Tweaks mod. I guess I just needed to wait until some dedicated people would fix things that frustrated me a bit too much(not having to aim when trying to reload is a godsend).
@@ThePrimordialChronicles that makes sense. Sounds like something just wasn't working for you. I almost rage quit the evil within at the start for the same reason but now I've got it I'm really enjoying it.
@@arkham666 I was able to get through like half of that game back in the day and then dropped it because of how horrible the PC port was, I tried it now and even with all the possible fixes - the game bored the shit out of me before the chainsaw guy escape thing even ends.
@@ThePrimordialChronicles it's the low point of the game and an overall terrible way to start a game. It doesn't teach you anything of value and is incredibly frustrating. I treated like I souls game. I figured there had to be some there I wasn't seeing for people to speak so highly of it. I sort of get it now that I'm into the game proper. Though it still pulls some bullshit.

Thanks man. I'll be sure to buy Mark an extra drink next time in Romania.

@@arkham666 yes completely fair and understandable 💙 can’t wait to play the remake and and even keep playing the OG to compare 🔥😎 it will be fun
I’m so late to the party just wanted to say I’m really enjoying your work on RE ❤

Lol I remember those steel books from my days working at a gamestation. That was easily one of my best and worst jobs.

No mention of mercenaries?!?!!!!!
Yes right at the start of the video. While it does hold some nostalgia value for me it's not my thing anymore really.
