I love this game, and I knew nothing of the Bloober team controversy when I got it, long before it ever got the redux treatment (which I honestly kinda hate, lol). You nailed pretty much everything that is good AND bad about it. But I am such a slut for the vibes alone that the cruddy parts feel inconsequential to me. Great video!
What's the controversy you mentioned? Being 20% owned by future Chinese Chiron corporation? I love this game, just finished it but the fact that Tencent owns a larger share of the company than an original founder kinda watered down the setting for me. I'll still be looking forward to their future releases but I'm not so sure about buying their games anymore sadly...
I absolutely loved everything about this game. The sound and atmosphere scared the shit out of me. but I'm not a big graphics or gameplay guy I just enjoy the story of a game.
def better than layers of fear and blair witch, but not as good as the medium. i loved that there were surprisingly many different places to explore in the apartment complex, that someone who just wants to get through the game wouldnt even realize were there
Walking sim is something like Vanishing of Ethan Carter. This here definitely not.. you have an interactive world to explore, several layers of gameplay with puzzles , secrets , Minigame , a lot of world building...etc. Quite absurd to name that a walking sim and tells us that you haven't played more than a few minutes.

It's interesting and the art direction is spot on but it's definitely something of a niche taste.
