That’s the crazy thing about narcolepsy, your body gets hella used to it.

I used to have to hide my alarm clock each night before bed, because I never remembered getting up and turning it off. Lol
Buda lemonbalm tea, or olly "goodbye stress" in the evening helps a lot.
Over the years I've done simular things you mention here, Thank you for your video💗

I can relate so much! I have had an alarm set up that had a daylight alarm, then music, then a space heater and a very sudden bright light. Decades of trying to figure out what alarm works... that combo is pretty good but I'll still sleep through it sometimes. It's real good for the winter though, sweating helps me wake up.

I smoked weed about everyday for 10 years and never knew I had narcolepsy. It wasn’t until I quit weed thinking it wasn’t doing be any good but of course months later I started to experience extreme narcoleptic symptoms. Come to find out I have narcolepsy. I never knew I had it bc I smoked 247 and never had issues going to sleep bc of it. Now I smoke at night no problems. I suggest smoking a few hours before bed.. I guarantee you will get sleep

MANY people have reported similar effects. If you're in a state that allows this/have a job that allows it I definitely recommend looking into it

Omg I totally do the peppermint just like you are saying. It burns but that’s exactly why it helps me, specially when driving.

I don't think I have narcolepsy, but rather delayed sleep phase with some episodes of excessive daytime sleepiness. For falling asleep, I find that audiobooks are the best thing, followed closely by external warmth and magnesium supplements. Camping is also great for my sleep-wake cycle, so I turn off as many lightbulbs as possible in the evening and hope that it helps somehow.

Love the tip about camping and lights! Audiobooks aren’t great for me, I get too invested in them and stay up to binge them 😂😂😂 ASMR videos are better for me personally (I just listen to the audio instead of watching the video)

Jumping jacks, push ups, or running in place works really good for me. Do you have a hard time getting motivated?

Lavender oil won't help much with sleep but does keep off mosquitoes, BUT a big handful of lavender flowers and make a pot of tea from it is the best sleep aid I've ever found; out of hops, valerian root, scullcap, passion flower, camomile, these all help but lavender flower tea works best. I like listening to music or a podcast to fall asleep but when it turns off I wake up even more, so that doesn't work.

high herb ratio edibles. but you have to test it. also if I go over it can trigger my anxiety. but focus can occur after 2pm. You are looking nicely in shape btw.

Ugh why is it so expensive to even get medical help and I feel like half the time they think your just trying to get on drugs! I was on adderall in high school for a little while my parents had tried to get me help with my sleep issues and always falling asleep in school but then I was set on joining the navy after high school and my recruiter made me get off the meds.. I was fcked in boot camp, got in so much trouble for always falling asleep but I somehow made it through and ended up doing 8yrs active duty.. now that I’m a civilian I’m trying to actually get some fcking help so sick of always sleeping and needing naps.. ugh

Same experience with the Army here! I was unmedicated my whole life and being a good student made my teachers ignore the constant falling asleep in class, and didn't tell my parents. Basic training was horrific, to the point I stopped getting in trouble for falling asleep. We'd be in parade formation and I'd just keel over standing up, haha. Did 6 years in the reserves. I'm glad you made it through!

I was told not to mix caffeine with my medication.
    Was anyone else told that?
I’ve never done it but if it doesn’t have that much of a negative effect maybe I’ll try it out.

I only had a problem with that once: I made cold brew concentrate and didn't know I was supposed to water it down before drinking it. I drank 32ozs on an empty stomach with my adderall.....I swear I could see colors later. LOL
I have been told not to consume vitamin C with your medication (as in orange juice) because it messes with your body's ability to absorb the medication. I don't know that this is doctor recommended, but I've seen in Facebook groups that if someone accidentally takes too much medicine that they chug OJ after to keep from absorbing it all. I'd talk to a doctor or poison control before doing that though.

Thanks for all the information. My son has N&C. May suggest peppermint oil. Its not dangerous to apply directly to skin?

So I’m not a professional of course I can only offer my opinion. I don’t think it’s considered “safe” I’m pretty sure you’re SUPPOSED to use a carrier oil and stay out of the sun.... that being said, I do it anyway. It tingles a little but (so far) it hasn’t irritated my skin. Basically I recommend researching this and maybe not copying me exactly lol

Bluetooth headband- ahha! thanks! Didn't know those existed. I'm looking to use binaural beats to attempt to trigger myself into Delta. My sleep study showed I never enter slow-wave (N3,N4) sleep...
