    • @mad1337nes
      @mad1337nes Рік тому +3

      @@YallaMiamiit's the exact opposite. Only hands that are already checkmarks want to bet small on the turn, it's literally "please call, please call" so that you feel more committed on a river shove (vs an already made boat)...and doubles as an enticing turn spot for draws to shove over with some possible FE.
      It's the absolute strongest line to take possible, which also makes it a cheap(er) line to barrel bluff balance. The turn isn't even the focus...it's all just a setup to get stacks in on the river vs the rec fish Mariano grew up on. He loves the big overbet shoves (fish either play too weak and fold anything but top 5%, or spaz out and think it's always a bluff and call any two). Makes money on the folds, and prints value from random 2nd pairs vs the other 20% of crazies.

But beyond that from a technical POV, calling $10k on turn already dropped SPR to less than 1:1, and thus calling should’ve never been an option there unless the play was to “trap” a maniac. That Mariano still had fold equity on the river with that small an SPR prob says more about the current meta state of poker (aka how BAD it is) than anything else. Whatevs Jungle. 🙄

    Airball has no problem calling clock on Jungle when he's in a hand with him, but when Jungle gets in a big pot with someone else he gleefully jabbers away. Zero class, as usual.

    I mean tanking like 1-2 mins is fine for thousands of dollars, but after 10 fucking mins is there even any theory left to think about? i mean, just call or fold man. Throw up a coin if u need to. This is absurd.

    In holdem...you gotta do anything to narrow your opponent range on the flop..so by the river you limit all the extra math..on this case you were passive reason your opponent can rep the flush on a river...

      very clever. so we want to fold out all our opponent's bluffs by the river to make the math simple, correct?
