Why is the rest of the table in a loud ass conversation while Jungleman is thinking about calling in a pot that is already 91.2k ? That is a big pot no one should be talking.
he was tanking for a while before the talking got loud. nobody called the clock. and these are the stakes he chose to play. pots get this big pretty often. you can't tank for 7 mins to make the wrong decision and expect silence.

Then you basically kill all the bluffs to get max paid. That diamond on the river is the main reason why the fold happened as many of Marianos turn bluffs has suited diamonds.

Only hands that are already checkmarks want to bet small on the turn, it's literally "please call, please call" so that you feel more committed on a river shove (vs an already made boat)...and doubles as an enticing turn spot for draws to shove over with some possible FE. It's the absolute strongest line to take possible, which also makes it a cheap(er) line to barrel bluff balance. The turn isn't even the focus...it's all just a setup to get stacks in on the river vs the rec fish Mariano grew up on. He loves the big overbet shoves (fish either play too weak and fold anything but top 5%, or spaz out and think it's always a bluff and call any two). Makes money on the folds, and prints value from random 2nd pairs vs the other 20% of crazies.

But beyond that from a technical POV, calling $10k on turn already dropped SPR to less than 1:1, and thus calling should’ve never been an option there unless the play was to “trap” a maniac. That Mariano still had fold equity on the river with that small an SPR prob says more about the current meta state of poker (aka how BAD it is) than anything else. Whatevs Jungle. 🙄

In holdem...you gotta do anything to narrow your opponent range on the flop..so by the river you limit all the extra math..on this case you were passive reason your opponent can rep the flush on a river...
