Hallelujah! I've recently been struggling with my walk in Christ: I'm a very theoretical guy, the "know-it-all" type of person who remembers a lot of things.
I had realized that my knowledge had been empty and vain in itself, and that I had been missing some of the relational side of the faith.
The true gospel doesn't require a master's degree to be understood, after all the Bible does say about the true way that not even the dumbest one will get lost on the path. (Not a direct quote)
While watching the video, God opened my heart in some way, that is extremely difficult for me to describe, to receive the truth about the relational side, and to believe it fully.
May He be glorified forever and ever, for He truly is worthy of all our praise. Amen.

Helen----GOD was not, "BORN." HE was NEVER a, "CHILD." And GOD
was NEVER, "Given." It is GOD the FATHER, Who "GAVE," or, "Brought
Forth" the Christ child. We can call Jesus, "Wonderful," because the
Righteous "Spirit' of the FATHER dwells IN him. And the terms, "Lord,
and God," are used ALL,THROUGH the Old Testament. They do not
always refer to THE GOD----they can refer to those who have 'AUTHOR-
      ITY.'
Jesus was not 'BORN' until HUNDREDS of years AFTER these Pro-
      phecies.

I picked up my old Bible from years ago and started reading through that one again. Seeing all the notes makes me realize how much I’ve forgotten 🤦🏻‍♂️ but I can definitely relate, it’s almost as if the deeper you swim into the pool, you realize you’re never gonna reach the bottom. I believe those of us who are in Christ will learn of God’s glory for eternity and never come to a complete grasp of it, yet our joy and pleasures in Him will swell with each new glimpse of it.

There is no mention of Jesus in the Old Testament. It was written long before he was born. The authors of the New Testament, written between 70 and 100 CE, long after Jesus died, were, of course, well acquainted with the “prophecies” and simply adjusted their stories to accommodate them.

I've just finished your Jesus in the Old Testament series Mike and I have to say, me and my mother gained a lot of insight from it and we learned quite a few new things. Proverbs 30 is really interesting, because, besides you, I have never heard anyone else preach from it. It's truly an overlooked part of scripture that not nearly enough preachers are talking about.

    • @joshwaterman5526

Lots of preachers talk about what the people want to hear not what they should hear. It’s a big issue in the church as many pastors want as many people to follow them as they can get but they leave out things that are sometimes hard to understand or just hard to swallow and they are vital for our walk with God.

This is so awesome and more than likely 'one of'' my favorite Bible topics as well ! I really enjoy your videos Brother, and am learning so much from the ones I get to see, and in this way of better understanding his words, is helping me and others I talk and fellowship with in our walk to grow closer to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ! Thank you so much for your service in feeding the flock with the word of God the way you are spiritually gifted to do, in giving Glory to the King of kings. In Jesus Christ mighty name, God bless you and Be strong and of good courage!

I have read Proverbs since my youth, in the process, knowing that the value of wisdom is great. I have never understood Proverbs 30 this way. Jesus is the wisdom of God, and by His name, I can know God and His wisdom.

I opened my Bible to Isaiah, looking for a verse when I found Isaiah 56:5
"Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off." KJV
I've not finished the video, but that connects super well.

Hey Mike, I teach high school kids chapter by chapter, verse by verse. We just finished Ecc last week. I didn’t feel lead to jump into a new book just for the sake of it, I like to be lead in those directions. This week I will share this prophesy with the youth, thanks for giving me a new notch on the belt!

"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, rather in humility value others above yourselves." Philippians 2:3
Follow the perfect example of Jesus and live humbly. Just as Jesus said those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. Luke 14:11
Hopefully this helped you today. God bless.

Hi Mike, I love your videos! I heard you say in another video something like “When I can’t find a missing resource, I want to become that resource.” I have been trying for a while to find information on the relationship between Rahab and Boaz. I found very little explanation for their relationship, and the answers were not satisfying. Is the mother of Boaz the same Rahab as the harlot? Is there a generational gap? What does this mean for the gospel of Matthew when he says there are 14 generations between Abraham and David?
