Truth, honesty and angst is what we aimed to capture collectively as a band throughout this writing process. We found a new appreciation for one another during this recording process, becoming more accepting of our past and more satisfied with our present because of the art we created in what we feel is our most important music we’ve released to date.
Punching Bag and No Love In LA we’ve gone beyond what we ever thought possible musically and lyrically by putting faith in each other, trusting our instincts and allowing real creative freedom to ourselves and our producer, Chris Greatti. It is with massive excitement and feelings of triumph that we raise the curtain on what is most certainly our boldest era yet. We hope you’re ready for the journey. x

The three of them are absolutely amazing and super talented. They love what they do, and they genuinely care for and appreciate their Royal Council Family (Fans) they work super hard and have a vision for their band that goes years ahead of what they are currently creating. No other band is like them visually or creatively they are unique beautiful souls that always deliver a magnificent performance & never disappoint. They deserve all the good things in this world, I love them very much 👑
All 3 have so much control over their talents, its unreal. Living legends if u ask me.
Timeless is great way to describe their music. This could be from the 90’s, aughts, 10, but it’s fitting it’s from the 20’s. lol

One of the things I absolutely love about Palaye Royale is how their music sounds like a collage of color. It just really resonates with me cuz people often find heavy music as just obnoxious sound, but it's so far from that, this is pure art. I think this song's about how record companies look at you like a product. Your image and sound is completely up to them. It's YOUR music but to them it's THEIRS. This song i think addresses that. Cos no matter how much of you you give them its never gonna be enough for them.

More like the fans look at you that way and beat you down and shame you and use you how they see fit. As you can see in the video, it's the fans taking what they want from him, beating him, and he let's them if it makes them happy as if he's not human too. He keeps saying he's a fake, dying, and that they can take him if they want, basically giving them what they want, but he somehow hangs onto his power and is kind of the one in control of this, he's choosing to enjoy it and let them, but it's still not right that we treat people this way. They keep him from walking forward, crowding the path, but when it's to put him on the stage to give them something, they carry him. Absolutely amazing story, Palaye is Royal.

There's a moment when Remington walks through the sheet in the warehouse, the roll of his shoulders psyching himself up is a detail I love. As someone with anxiety who tends to put up an image, a tough front for those around me - what people see and expect of how to be stronger. How others picture how I should be in public, this roll, psyching up and facing things outside - facing people...it hits in another way. I find I need to keep putting on the outward appearance as tough, to kind of survive even if noone wants to hurt me. If there's aggro or trouble, my bravado and stance kind of backs people off so I appear 'scary' or 'how the public perceives me'. I end up seen as the angry and rough person when most of this is my trauma, how being hurt and others getting hurt because of fear. I end up being the one kicked about, the punching bag. Not much care for how I end up, but it does get too much at times and it feels easier to take on those who care about me, to just hate me like others do. Rambling, sorry.

I am so excited about how far these boys have come. I sound like a grandmother even though im younger than all of them. They are truly under appreciated. This new era has already cleansed my allergies, snatched my pirate hat, broken my guitar, and killed a vampire. I love these guys so much and am so proud of them! Also I felt like I struck gold when I fully discovered this band earlier this year (I had some songs of theirs I favoured on a playlist I was making last year that sounded like is would relate to the Hannibal TV show) I love discovering new bands with their own sound and that put in all their efforts with not just their music but the merch, music videos, graphic novels and anything and everything to get you hooked into the story and their world. I appreciate everything that goes into making all that happen , that is why I love this band so much. Oh and their interactions with fans and their stage presence, it might get Remi in trouble in the UK but it make the whole experience even more worthwhile ❤️

Not once. I was one of the extras. We weren't expecting him to do that and it kind of caught a few of us off guard the first time he yeeted it and sent it flying over our heads x.x But through every last take, he managed to perfectly dodge and weave without even glancing at it as it swung.

@@BATMADZ_ The entire band was actually pretty cool all around. Remington was very energetic and seemed very excited to be filming. Sebastian originally came out with a black guitar, then kind of stared at it, and yelled out to all the background actors, "HEY, does this guitar go with my outfit or should I go grab my white one?" and everyone yelled out white, so he switched out his guitar.
Emerson was kinda quiet, but still very nice.
Altogether it was one of the more fun background gigs I've done. I hadn't heard of the band until then, but now I'm definitely a fan.

I get the feeling that this song is about social media, the way people always have (bad) opinions on anyone, the cancel culture, how they target someone and they spit all their toxicity over people who are just not their “type of content”. How people throw their hate against someone so easily, without thinking what their actions can lead to.
I’ve received so many comments such as “I don’t like this voice on girls”, “your videos are just an ode to yourself”, “you’re just showing your pretty face”, “you’ve ruined too many notes of this song, but you’re easy on the eyes though”... and so on on my covers. I’ve felt like a punch bag so many times, so this song hits hard.

There’s so much to interpret in these lyrics that can be for anyone.
One of my perspectives: the toxicity that can happen between a Sub & Dom. And sometimes the sub likes feeling small or humiliated, but it can have repercussions mentally as well. ESP when he said ‘public enemy’, it reminded me of how someone told me they were attacked online just for being a sub male, society has an issue with it.
At least that’s my take on this song at first. Of course other interpretations came afterwards.

Reading between the lines is fun , lyrics relay some information and we unrelay them and peice the information together with our own experiences & or perception of the world, this dudes deffo a word Smith, dare I say, for me, this is a punk revival!
Interesting take, I didn’t think about this before, but after this comment it’s got me thinking.
For me it accurately depicts the relationship between my partner and I , the way they treat me is like I’m their emotional punching bad and I’m just meant to bend to their will.
I thought it was just a song about celebrity or people picking apart who we are based on our public "personas" that are now a big part of how we interact because of social media fixation.
I'm beyond proud of how far you came and to be able to witness all of this happening it makes me so grateful. You save me every day, you inspire me to be all the versions of myself. All this said I'm so excited to hear what the new era sounds like
