You should check out this game called WXsand if you haven't already, it is a powdergame that lets you code your own elements. it had alot of mods in the past, and some are still findable if you quest around on the forums.
it was made by this person named Owen Piette, who also liked beekeeping. anyway, if you cannot find it, hit me up, i have the last two versions saved. the last version even has options to add multi pixel objects to the game.

Well, love this game! Thanks for doing it, it is appreciated! I'm a gaming veteran and have played pretty much ALL games in history, I started when video games were brand new. Due to this, I really hate that boring and meaningless concepts get 2000 sequels and iterations. This is a breath of fresh air, a physically more accurate world, where everything is simulated. It is a lot of fun to play, especially when everything is in flames. Now all that is missing is pressure waves: Explosions push objects away or material flying through the air. But I don't know how hard that would be to do. It is a great game as it is.

I like the direction games are taking. Physics based game worlds, raytracing, simulating instead of guessing stuff.
I have seen playable demos where a whole 3D world is made out of destructible voxels. Now, first games with this concept are appearing like this one. Raytracing was a nice demo a year ago and now some indie games do start to support it. First render demos appear of in game objects breaking and ripping with the percision on the molecular level like they would do in real life.
It fills me with joy when I think about how games are going to looklike in to years.

So I got a few questions if it's alright to ask:
    1. What is progression like for this game? Sure, there's randomly generated areas but in some trailers, it shows you outside on the surface rather then underground. So will there be multiple options on what you do in the game?
    2. What is the game's price? Been interested in saving some money for the game so it'll help me out to know what it'll be.

@@stoovan3867 The game is indeed 1 seamless procedural world. If you so desire You can backtrack to the previous environments if you manage to dig or blow holes through each shop witch separates them. And yea there is a procedural overworld. From what i can tell from gifs there are also a few biomes such as a desert and forest. Most of the gameplay will take place underground however.last year the devs had explained that they plan to have extra content and things to do in the overworld area. Im not sure if the Early Access version at launch will contain these or not but cool anyways.

    Sandbox roguelike?
    ...
Hell, just a moment ago, I was wondering what to spend all my money on.
The way the terrain is generated, the way everything happens exactly like you'd expect, the way ice cracks when damaged and rubble rolls down, the way every object is pixel art, yet rotates without it looking strange, the randomly generated wands..... This game keeps looking better. It reminds me of the way I'd make a game, in contrast to other game designers: if something's a good idea to have in the game, it's worth the effort. If it adds anything to the game, aesthetic, feel, realisticness, fantasy, it needs to be there. Everywhere I look, I see that you put a lot of work into making this game EVERYTHING it needs to be. I cannot wait for release, and I haven't even known the game for more than 10 minutes.

Rallinth I am guessing common sense, alternatively there can be a “journal” that will collect info about things you saw/touched. I hope that there will be such a thing

It's just up to common sense if anyone else sees this and wants to know
There are guides online that line material properties and hardness for digging around and whatnot

I'm imagining this being an open world rpg-sandbox kind of game. In a sense like terraria, but more focused on its physics elements and combat. I imagine smithing in this game would be incredibly realistic! Would be fun to see something like that. Brewing potions and smithing weapons like in real life

Roguelike with powder toy mechanics? That's a powerful elevator pitch if I ever saw one

Just bought this and it's big fun so far, my main concern with the game is that level design will have to be good enough in such a way that it really lets you play around with all the different physics and reactions in fun and interesting ways.

I remember over ten years ago, there were web pages of "hell of sand falling" and other simple simulators. There were stick figure zombies and stuff like gunpowder. I remember spending hours creating model fireworks with long fuses and chambers of gunpowder. Was that you guys?

There were a bunch of creators for that genre. The originals you're thinking of were generally Japanese creators, so probably not these people, but there were people from other areas who made their own versions.

Could you imagine the possibilities when computers will be able to handle 4k pixel based physics instead of just the 8-32 bit pixel based game. Like Call of Duty or Sims 4 or especially GTA 5. Triple A titles with this technology would thrive. We need this to go mainstream!

It'll be cool if there's a spell that cracks the ground, you cast it on ceilings and dozens of ceiling pieces would come down.

Have you guys thought about decreasing the "shoot detection" range of the enemies, you can't see them shooting at you, and you have to be very far from them to not trigger their attack so you basically interact with them without seeing them.

Beautiful. You guys are showing that Finland certainly hasn't lost the ability of making great games (with FrozenbyteGames and their upcoming "Starbase")!
Environmental destruction reminds me of Zombotron Flash games, which reminds me of enemies being hostile to each other.
I really hope we get to see that also?

Cool concept, definite seems to be inspired by the power physics simulation type games. And the element of rpg side scroller in that type on interactable world is just rad.
