Thanks for this concise review. This is perfect for anyone visiting from the UK/Europe and want to take advantage of US prices. Macbooks cost about 25% less in US than UK so someone visiting the US could purchase here, buy the adapter kit and save a lot of money.
@anotheraccount Macbook pro 14 m2 base model in my country costs 900 Euros (980 Usd) more than in the USA market and our average wages are less than 1/4 of the US equivalent. A return trip from my country to New York costs approximately 600-700 euros if you book a month in advance, so it would be cheaper to just visit new york for a day, buy a macbook, drink a coffee on central park and visit the times square and return, which is insane if you think of it. Shipping the box to yourself would be approximately 20-30 bucks, same for the official adapter pack (or non-apple with 5 euros in my country). Taxation in the European Union is killing us, and I have personally paid my fair share of taxes already... I wont pay a dime more to customs, I would prefer to slip a 20 euro note to the officer and we'll bοth be happy and call it a day.
Went to the Apple store and said I need an adapter kit to charge my IPhone on my trip to Europe coming up. They gave me this. Got home, opened it, and realized it’s not for phones. Great.
All hookups are for MacBook and need to buy extra block to use for IPhone charging. No general chargers have the pop on/off adapters. In the exact ship as you JohnJ but arrived an opened it up to find out it’s absolutely useless. Dumbest “World Adapter Kit” ever. Like selling the cord and block separately…… Apple fucks
Don't worry, it won't. I bought a US version of the 16inch MacBook Pro, and I used one of these adapters with the charger. It's perfectly fine. I am based in Dubai where standard electricity outlets have 3 prongs.
Hey man. Thanks for passing by! All adapters are marked for each region. The AC plugs included in the World Travel Adapter Kit directly support outlets in North America, Japan, China, United Kingdom, Continental Europe, Korea, Australia, Hong Kong, and Brazil.
Could you let me know the ampage/wattage/voltage on the UK 3 flat prong adaptor? I have loads of these and not sure if I can use them with my usb duck to charge my ipads/iPhone/apple watch. Thanks!
it is possible to charge iphones with it, but only with an expensive wall charger such as the ones on apple's website, like the 35W Dual USB-C Port Power Adapter
The voltage and amperage specifications for the US duckhead adapter used with Apple chargers are designed to accommodate a wide range of input voltages. The typical specifications for Apple power adapters, including the duckhead adapter, are 100-240V AC at 50-60Hz. These adapters can handle up to 1A, making them versatile for use in various regions with the appropriate plug adapter.
IMO, I think it's ok to use the Mac's 100W power adapter. However, do this at your own risk. I have been using the Mac's adapter for my iPad Pro with no problems at all, and it was charging just fine. I haven't used it for an iPhone though, but I think it should be fine. The iPad Pro was charging faster than with the iPad's charger.
It wont outright break it but using a 100W power adapter for your iPhone would induce unnecessary stress and fatigue in the voltage and current regulators decreasing its overall lifespan. In short, using them every once in a while is not bad but avoid using it daily.
Glad I seen this video. As I was going to buy this for going to Spain, Florida and then Tokyo from the UK. But not now as it’s not what I want. I need something to plug my iPhone charger directly in to and then into the different outlet or the USB C cable into the different plug.. I’m not paying even more money to apple for these “duck” head plugs to fit into first and then the outlet. That’s far too much and a rip off.
Thank you for your feedback. I think you misunderstood. These duck heads are not intended for the iPhone; they’re meant for the Mac laptops. I am extremely satisfied that such option exists because I can go anywhere in the world and not worry about plugging in my Mac. Windows laptops don’t have this and are rather troublesome.
You’re best off looking for a specific country. From a quick google search it looks like it’s mainly the mainland European and British plugs, with some wild cards thrown in in the south of the continent
The AC plugs included in the World Travel Adapter Kit directly support outlets in North America, Japan, China, United Kingdom, Continental Europe, Korea, Australia, Hong Kong, and Brazil.
Its a terrible design as they should all have folding pins. Nobody wants those pins sticking out in their bag. The Tofu charger seem to get this right.

@another account that's why you remove the packaging. you can mail the empty box to yourself if you really want it. save yourself thousands.

Yup I had the same story. Really disappointed
The country should be specified on the connecter itself. Just check the inner side of the connecting part with the apple brick.
This video should have million views
Thanks man! This means a lot 👍🏻
The second that you took is used in argentina
Thanks for your feedback
1:37- My man dissed Australia as if it doesn't exist on the map.
They should put the travel and power adaptors together in one packaging. Thanks for the info. Travel safe buddy!
Thank you 👍🏻
this is a crazy accessory really, to use it with iPhone they make you buy a big wall charger separately that costs a minimum of £70
I was looking for something like this. Neat product.
The second one is for Australia / New Zealand.
The triangle one that is tilted is Australia cause i know it
Russia does not use type g that UK uses
So if I have a pc and can’t use this to charge my phone without that other brick…. This is essentially useless
This is used for the laptop!
This is what i'm looking for!!!
Good luck 👍🏻
the 2 angled ones is mainly nz
Thanks for your feedback
Can you just plug it straight in, won't the computer fry? Don't you need a power converter?
Don't worry, it won't. I bought a US version of the 16inch MacBook Pro, and I used one of these adapters with the charger. It's perfectly fine. I am based in Dubai where standard electricity outlets have 3 prongs.
Thanks for the video. Fast question, can you please confirm if the adapters are marked for each region? The 3 round ones are so close to the same.
Hey man. Thanks for passing by! All adapters are marked for each region.
The AC plugs included in the World Travel Adapter Kit directly support outlets in North America, Japan, China, United Kingdom, Continental Europe, Korea, Australia, Hong Kong, and Brazil.
You need to show that U shaped design under, is there any steel pins are there for grounding, for static charge,
I live in india having issues with static charge while charging . Can the 3 pin help me from this box ? Or the extension
Bro , did you find a solution for this ? Having static issues too . Lemme know.
Did you guys find the solution to it?
Can you provide the name of the adaptor; I have the apple kit. I will be traveling to Dubai.
It is the one with the three prongs
Could you let me know the ampage/wattage/voltage on the UK 3 flat prong adaptor? I have loads of these and not sure if I can use them with my usb duck to charge my ipads/iPhone/apple watch. Thanks!
Can they be connected to the 30w USB c charger? Or are they just compatible with the 12w?
Hello, did you have to buy a watt converter for your laptop or phone? also, will it work in Egypt?
It will
I am traveling to India and Nepal, is it gonna work ?? I am using Mac 💻
This is for the Mac.
I know this video is old but do I also need an inverter or just this adapter and an apple brick is enough? Traveling to Spain and Turkey
This is enough and you don't need anything else.
Thanks for the response!
With the 12 W charger to use with iPhones is it possible or is it only intended for laptops?
it is possible to charge iphones with it, but only with an expensive wall charger such as the ones on apple's website, like the 35W Dual USB-C Port Power Adapter
Wish I’d checked this vid out first. It’s not for charging phones so I’ll be taking it back for a refund.
what is the voltage and Amps on the US duckhead?

The ataachment won’t fit with iPhone adapters.
This is not designed for iPhones but for Macs.
The 100 watt power Adaptor does that work for an iPhone 11 and do they only come in 100 watts? Want to make sure I get the right one.

Does it come with a bag to carry all of them?
No
is it has grounded pin for these plugs?
