The Korea plug is slightly thicker the Europe plug points in slightly and the Brazil one is the same as the Europe one but does not point in. It seems the Europe one and Brazil one are interchangeable. But the Korea one does not work in Brazil but does it Europe.
Thanks for the clarification of the similar but different plug adapters!
Korea uses schuko which is same as most of Europe so the European and Korean plugs are mostly interchangeable. However, Italy and Switzerland use thinner pins so this is why the Europlug has 4 mm pins instead of 4.8 mm. Historically all Europe used 4 mm but most switched to 4.8 at some point. The pin length and distance is same on all: 19 mm (originally 0.75").
I would never have figured how to use this without your video . Thank you!!
You're welcome!😊
7:25 make sure you take the tape off when you plug in the part into your adapter because you don’t want that stuck on the adapter as it can start a fire.
I like the way you talk and your talking speed YAY!
Thanks! glad you like it😊
Your comment about the adapters looking the same made me curious. On Apple's website, I found the following descriptions:
Korea (KOR)
Description: Round, thick pins
Brazil (BRA)
Description: Round, thin pins
Continental Europe (EUR) Description: Slightly angled, round, thin pins
now that you mentioned it I checked again and the Korea (KOR) adapter pins are a bit thicker and straight while the European (EUR) pins are thinner and slightly angled inwards towards each other. Thanks for pointing it out!
on the back of the plug where you plug it into the adapter they say which plug goes where
@@1emc Korea uses schuko, same as most of Europe so they are mostly interchangeable. The Europlug is somewhat a compromise so that it can be used also in Italy and Switzerland. Italy and Switzerland use 4 mm prongs 19 mm apart. Rest of the continential Europe uses 4.8 mm prongs 19 mm apart (from the center of the prongs). Europlug has flexible 4 mm prongs that are 17.5 mm apart at the tip and 18.6 mm at at base. 4.8 mm prongs are good for 16 A white 4 mm is good for 10 A. Because of the compromise Europlug is rated only for 2.5 A.
So by my logic apart from those two countries the Korean one actually is better in Europe. It just is not approved for Europe.
It should be noted that if you do not have the kit you can always use any normal figure 8 power cord instead. It may not look as elegant but works. There Apple has made a surprisingly user-friendly choice for the connector.
19 mm sounds a strange distance. It originally was 3/4" (19.05 mm)
Great video.. help me a lot ...thks
Thanks for the video. Brazil plug is 110 Volt.
Thanks for the info!
All apple products can work on 110 to 240 watts

Some of the 3-prong adapters including the one in the travel kit are being recalled by apple Apple Three-Prong AC Wall Plug Adapter Recall Program
www.apple.com/hk/en/support/three-prong-ac-wall-plug-adapter/
and some european adapters also www.apple.com/hk/en/support/ac-wallplug-adapter/
Is there any differnce if voltage, frequency or ampere is consider .i.e if a person buy a iphone x from canada and uses that adapter in india??
This travel adapter set doesn’t include any power adapters, only the plugg adapter for the power adapter. However, the (original apple) power adapter included with the iPhone normally should work in any country (as it can be used with 110 or 220 volt power outlets) if you have a plugg adapter which physically fits into the power outlet.
Yes, my friend will buy it to me from Changi too. Thx for your information. Regards.
Came from apple explained
does it come with a bag?
It’s without bag, just the box
Which one for Thailand
Mostly two round or flat prongs www.lonelyplanet.com/thailand/electricity
Can I buy only EU adapter?
Apple only sells the whole set, not individually. It’s probably still cheaper than a new charger with the eu plug adapter
Is apple selling only atleast one of those travel adapter kit especially if tou only need one of them?
I don't think you can buy only one of the adapters, unless you buy a charger in the country you're in, then it would come with the country's adapter. But that would probably cost a more than the whole travel kit.
@@1emc or is the removable adapter or 12w would also fit the 29w charger???
@@ebencipe it's the same adapter for all apple chargers (10W, 12W, 29W, 30W, 60W, 87W will fit)
QUESTION
WIll it work in Africa, Nigeria?
I'm not sure, but you probably can find an adapter at a supermarket there.
@@1emc ok thx :) cuz like im visting there for the first time even tho its my home country but thx
what do you plug it into for a iphone?
These adapters are only for the iPad & Macbook chargers. For the iPhone you have to buy the specific apple charger for the country you want to use it in, buy a third party adapter in the supermarket, or use an iPad/MacBook charger with the Apple travel adapter to charge the iPhone
1eyedmonkey Channel oh thank you so much! It was really helpful :)
