Yes, I love butter! And it's not as unhealthy as refined vegetable(seed) oils. Indeed an interesting, unique and super delicious mashed potato recipe. Wish I could reach out to my laptop screen for tasting it! Whisky wasn't sure of the potatoes and cabbage but surely loves the bacon😊. Have a lovely evening Chef❤❤.
Most people have butter all wrong, what's important is that it comes from a good producer with grass fed cows. Then it's actually quite healthy. I've seen the proof in Brittany France.
Butter is actually better for you than other fats ☘️🇮🇪

Great recipe. My Mom, long gone sadly, was a fabulous cook. One holiday meal I offered that I'd make Colcannon. She'd never had it, but from that day on, she brought it up in every food conversation we had. Mine wasn't as refined as this, but I'm certainly going to give your recipe a go. I love Colcannon and its seems to be catching on a bit here in the States . . . Also love "champ." Leftover is good for breakfast topped with a fried egg or fried like a patty. Happy St. Paddy's Day to you and Whisky! Thanks for sharing.

Hello there in the States. Yes champ every Friday back in the 70 s here in Ireland. I find this video a bit of a slap in the gob..... Colcannon traditional is simply simply simple. Mash and GREEN cabbage mixed and a little knob of butter. I am lost with this make up video. Paul Ireland 😮
Ireland here. My granny always made me culcannon but she'd make a well in the middle and put milk in with a knob of butter, loved it

This looks great, but this year I'm roasting the corned beef and potatoes and making a cabbage cake: grate cabbage and carrots, add scallion, eggs, flour, salt and pepper, fry like a big frittata and cut in wedges. It's Korean, but I'm sue the Irish would eat it.
I might make your apple cake with the crusty topping.

Joel my good Aussie friend , you had me at potatoes since I am Irish , but every one of these ingredients are staple foods for us and I am going to add diced turnips to mine, cheers mate , butter looks good & rich & looks like Kerry brand Irish butter.
