A hand-held FOLEY FOOD MILL is reliable and will process a larger quantity more quickly. You would cook the fruit first to soften it then remove the seeds & skins in the food mill. Very affordable.

I have the KitchenAid meat grinder and food mill that I purchased together, and they work great. I've used them several times and they work perfectly. I use them for apples all the time. They aren't hard to put together and get apart. In fact, I've never had to use the wrench end of the pusher to tighten or loosen the parts, and it never leaks. KitchenAid is definitely worth the price!

Hi Nili! Loved all your attempts at making your KitchTree attachment work. It may very well be defective, so I would definitely contact the seller/manufacturer to determine if that’s the case. If the manufacturer is legit, I would think it has a strong need to make it right. This is particularly true because of your strong and trusted presence on the various social media platforms! Please consider following through and give us an update! You’re the best! 🥰

I learned a long time ago. Never buy generic attachments for my KitchenAid with a single exception. That was for the Beater Blade. The mixing blade with the rubber sides that scrapes the bowl as you mix. It works beautifully. The rest have all been junk.

I bought my first kitchen aid in 1978 when we got married. The first attachment I got for it was a three pack! Grinder, slicer, and the food mill. $79 dollars for the box with all three in it! I love the food mill. Only way I’ve ever made seedless blackberry jam, and applesauce ( cooking whole washed apples with cinnamon sticks and a little water) the blackberries do spatter juice! I’ve taped up a bit of newspaper around it and it kept the splatters contained. I got rid of the slicer attachment and upgraded to the newer one, and it works well for when I need to shred lots of cheese. I had the old noodle making attachment, all the disks fit inside the plunger. ( you needed to meat grinder with it) passed that along to my daughter. My husband gave me the newer noodle making attachment for a Christmas gift one year but we don’t use it at all really. It’s hard when they change things and attachments don’t fit. Thanks for your review ❤️💕

Love your videos. You are very helpful, so I feel like I'll just tell you how I do it.
When making applesauce, I wash and core the apples, I never peel them. Then I cut them roughly, throw them in a big pot (huge batches here). I add a tiny bit of water so that they don't burn until they let liquid out. I may add cinnamon if I feel like it. Then I let them cook down about half the hight and I simply blend them with immersion blender. Next I have my sterilized jars and lids, and through a wide funnel (without messing any jars with sauce, I wipe them with a clean damp cloth if I do), I pour the sauce while it's still simmering in the pot, into the jars leaving about ¾-1inch at the top. I screw on the lid and flip them upside down. They will seal beautifully after a few hours.
I do the same with peaches, tomato sauce, blackberries (+a bit sugar), aronia (needs more liquid and some sugar). I like to keep it simple. Hope it helps!😊 I love that you guys moved to a farm. We did that 3 years ago (we went more rural though) and would never go back.

I have been using for about 45 years now a squeeze hoe strainer, all metal, vintage. They're about the same price as what you just paid for yours. Works great for tomatoes, and fruits. Apples, I would just wash cut put in a kettle with just enough water to soften and run them through. All seeds and skins come out one end and all the Pope the other I would let the pukp drip to make a clear apple jelly and then make apple butter with what was left.

Keep buying generic. The money you save won’t add up to your unnecessary aggravation.

The problem with reviews is that you can't be sure they are legit. Sorry you had to go through that! If you reach out to the manufacturer and show them the video they might be able to replace the pieces if they are perhaps flawed.

That is true. After going back to the reviews I found one that showed and complained about the same gap at the end of the shaft that I was talking about

I have the flour mill, I love it. I have the meat grinder, works great. The flour mill is to be used for flour not fruit. I love all my kitchen aid attachments. I mill my own flour, I have an electric flour sifter. It’s great. I don’t think your doing it right. Mine is perfect your making me crazy. Bye

Yup. I had hoped that paying $65 would get me something worth $65. But alas, that was not the case 😔
