Hi Andy, I feel like you're ignoring the ball recoveries a bit too much maybe, a player like Rodri has almost guaranteed 5-6 points in the group stages just from those, which equals 2 assist / 1 goal for someone else...

+ Players that get recoverys are also more common to get yellow cards

Who do you think is the best 5m goalkeeper? I currently have Pickford(would had have Costa but I’m triple Portugal) and I don’t really trust the England defence and I’m debating on switching to Casteels

All of the Netherlands' corners v Iceland were aimed at Aké, that's where Van Dijk's goal came from too. But I was wondering if that might be a smokescreen and come the games proper, it's Van Dijk who's the target afterall.. 😅
If you have the time to go over the option of unlimited chip matchday 2 and loading up on all the expensive players? Even though they play each other, we all know they will be starting and they could be high scoring games so the big players will get points. And we know they will start! And then have two transfers for match day 3 on any players that *might* get rested as opposed to the match day 3 limitless chip strategy?

A player I don't hear anyone talk about is Stanek at 4 mil. He looks like he's first choice and has Georgia MD2. If anyone from Czechia could share thir thoughts, I'd be much obliged.
If you limitless MD2, you start matchday 3 with the same team and same risk of rotation. Agree with Andy's choice completely

What do you think about Veerman for 6,5. Now that De Jong is out he is nailed on+ he takes ALL corners and free kicks

I'd go Pickford because I need my quota of 3 England 😂 - otherwise think it's close, most would say Costa I reckon because of what happened against Iceland.

@Jake71st played the third most out of all defenders in qualifying, and has played in friendlies too. Started yesterday
@@nezkeys79 yes he played 3rd most minutes from the defenders, the two ahead of him are dias and silva, who are both CB's. Plus I dont personally see him playing LB.
The reason he played yesterday was because they played a back 5.

Mittelstädt -> Di Marco -> Kane -> Lakaka -> Bruno Fernandes, I really hope to get to Lakaka somehow but only Mbappe at the same day playin or Portugal the day after so it’s kinda risky too, but I can see a lakaka hattrick

How many times can you switch captain in a matchday? Can you switch captain everyday?
Yes everyday is what I know for sure, I don’t know if you can change it between 2 matches of the same day, but everyday once is safe
@@Dennis.10242 Thank you! Captaincy is quite OP then. I thought u could only change it once like in UCL Fantasy.
Nobody seems able to confirm this. If its once per day (so once per 4 games) the that sucks
Pretty sure they have never done it like this and done it the other way where you can just switch your subs and captain in the break between matches

If I want to put Bellingham (or saka) back in it means downgrading all those three expensive defenders. If I just play all budget defenders I could go with something like Trossard Wirtz Saka. Saka is rumoured injured though so if theres a chance Palmer starts thats kinda tempting. I am still tempted to play Dumfries instead of Trent or Hernandez though.
Maybe you can put Dimarco instead of T. Hernandez.
@mert88894 what does 0.5m enable though? I'm trying to use a chip strategy that has chips in the last group matches or QF/SF, and dimarco would just be booking in a transfer out for both other games since they play Spain and Croatia? Tbh Hernandez v Netherlands in MD2 is a similar predicament but Netherlands always concede against good clubs
Firstly, your squad looks excellent. Those three forwards seem to be the best possible combination for points for the opening two matches (regardless of captaincy). I am leaning towards T.Hernandez instead of TAA for my last defender spot as it's likely to be a MD2 transfer out spot, especially if Italy/Dimarco look good v Albania. Why? Because Belgium, Germany and Portugal have great fixtures in MD1 and MD2. Limitless 3 seems 80% likely for me.
I am very happy with Faes, Mittelstadt, DiMarco and importantly, Dalot who saves 1m over Cancelo and can fund two stronger midfield picks. Portugal's clean sheet odds seem too low using elevenifys data, in my opinion.
I would switch Jorginho to Georgia's 4.5m mid Chakvetadze who can get you ball recoveries and possibly an assist so you can fund Trossard or Wirtz instead of Shaqiri. Rodri at 6.5m is a solid value pick, but I rate Germany's MD2 match v Hungary much more than Spain who plays Italy, hence Gundogan 7.0m plus Wirtz 7.5m along with Fernandes and Trossard.
Ukraine's Lunin is of great value for 4.5m, and he plays on a different day than Costa/ Portugal. I have those two as my goalkeepers.
Your overall squad looks very solid, so here is some friendly advice.

Gorginho is only there as an enabler. If there is a 4.5m better than him then sure but do you really think chav is better? I've since had news that decuyper will start. That would probably make me take out casteels for Lunin
Cancelo does seem like a lot of money tbh but I don't really rate Dalot that much. Wouldn't Ignacio be better? Dumfries International record is better than cancelo tbh, buy they play France MD2. Nothing to say he can't score/assist there but history shows netherlands always concede against bigger clubs so chance of CS against France is low

Neither
So theoretically you don’t need mbappe with the harder fixture if you believe another player with a more favourable fixture can do better on the match day and get him in when he has higher upside . Think about it you have 5 or four chances to get a decent captaincy points.
I'd still pick Mbappe v Netherlands vs any other option from a crappy club with a good fixture
Yeah maybe, but also remember that Mbappe is great.
@@nezkeys79 true but would u call lukaku a crappy club option ? Yes In the later stages yes mbappe is essential !!!! But hypothetically If mbappe only get one return against a trickery Austria . Md 1 you have 5 attempts to best it or equal it!!! Imagine wasting all that money on getting 2 returns from mbappe when you have a low tier player does it at the fraction of the price. Also you have more than one attempt , see the loophole you can exploit ?
@@jeamialmatty439 statistically mbappe is more likely to score big against Austria, than someone like Guler is against Georgia. And I would still prefer Mbappe vs Netherlands than almost any other option really.
When I think of who the optimal three attackers are for MD2 I think Lukaku Kane Ronaldo tbh

Don’t get me wrong I know mbappe is statistically more likely to score big the point I’m making is that with the changing Captain option you have a few attempts to best him or match him at a fraction of the price .especially if you spread the money around with decent player with better upside and fixtures .In FPL you stuck with one captain so statistically you’d like to have the best option. But I think this method is only good in the group stages with weaker teams still playing . Also mbappe have gone off the boil since the champions league then again it can go horribly wrong with a mbappe hat trick lol
Should I downgrade Rodri/Shaqiri to Hojberg to afford Guehi to Trent?
Shaqiri imo is a dark horse for the first two games

How many points would you take for your captain? For example if wirtz gets 16 points as captain (already x2), would you take that or gamble the other days? What amount of points would satisfy you guys for captain? Cause imagine you gamble too much and Mbappe is having a stinker and all you have left then is Bruno who could end up with a stinker too, so which amount of points would you guys take from your captain? Is +20 a must get?

I dont known if im about to shoot myself in the foot here, but I've just downgraded Bellingham to rodri, and used the money to get cancelo, t.hernandez, and trent instead (the other defenders were nego, tah, guehi)

I've just heard saka might be an injury doubt though so maybe there's a chance Palmer starts (6.5m) 😮 To be fair predicting who will score for England is kinda like with Germany. They can share the spoils vs a team like Switzerland where Shaqiri is likely to be the main one

Why is no one talking about Sesko? Hardly picked, not heard him mentioned in a single video
Because Slovenia are one of the weakest teams in the tournament and are in a tough group. Sesko might do well, but the likelihood is that the players around him won't be able to provide the required opportunities he needs to make much of an impact. Slovenia are 500 to 1 to win the tournament with Paddy Power for example.
Him and Oblak are great options individually but the fixtures are poor. Maybe for the Serbia game but even that isn't easy

This is a bad strategy. I mean who is Elevenify? What's his record?
You'd probably have to contact him if you want to know the inner working of the model, he puts a lot of time into this stuff and is someone I've followed for a while.
It's just another data point, a free one at that, no-one is saying pick your team based on it, just a helpful piece of content that you are completely free to ignore.
Imo Simons will play the 10, and Frimpong on the RW, when he came in, he was the best player on the field immediately

@@nezkeys79 that team can get much better having unlimited budget in GW2 hence higher points. Limitless in GW3 is risky because of rotations and no much point using it in knock out stage’s because high competition matches= less goals&less points

Nope, you have to lock in captaincy and sub switches before the kickoff of the first game of the day.
