I had an Airfix 1/32 Stalwart in the 1970s and just loved the design like a space vehicle. I haven't got £3000 and nowhere to put it but give about ten years! Love these vids lads!
I'm sure the local HSE agent (Health & Safety Executive) would give you a THUMBS UP for all the care you taken to ensure a proper, creative, safe work environment.
It does... it did comfort me when I went to binge-watch the backlog and saw how young the channel is though. Seems to be doing great and it's just going to keep growing.
You boys are Flippin crazy as anyone I've ever seen. But dam good show, and that young man has got to be luckiest one of you all. That dam thing would of flipped right off the side if I had tried that without a doubt in my mind.
The torque on the Terrex front cable drum must be amazing - it's got 2, 10 cylinder hydraulic motors. I worked on strip mills that only used 1, 5 cyclinder unit.
A credit to how well made they must have been if they still operate with nearly half its wheels missing 🤣 theres 2 of these in a hedgerow local to me.. might be able to get the number if your after axles and wheels 👍
If I owned that I would cut the top half of the body off and drop a bus body with floor over it. Put panel over the engine area that could be remove easily because the seats would face inward against the walls. with the bus body you could still steer from the middle bt have 2 doors up front to load people into the bus or you could have a separate entrance in the back for passengers but if you do that leave a way to unload passengers through the front in case of being rear ended.
Do Waltons still have the WHITE-FIELD BOSS tractor ?...i remember seeing it being used to pull the traction engines out of the mud at a very wet Welford steam rally in the early 1980's !!!
If someone really wanted to run that Stalwart but had no parts, could they rob the middle suspension unit from the left side and swap it to the right rear and run it on 4 wheels?
I have always wanted a stolly, but I talked myself out of it last time because 6mpg and no diffs and got a 101FC instead. But this, its already abused and broken. It needs axle work. It needs axles with diffs so you dont have to do all that bouncing off kerbs crap when roading. It needs swim gear because whats the point of a stolly if you can't drive into the local marina and freak everyone out... I have no idea how I'm currently resisting tracking you down and pushing 3 grand in your hands for it. Must be strong. Must be strong...
Nothing instills confidence in buyers more than your camera man snickering after you name the price.
How much was it?

I'm recently retired but guys like you kept me in work! Brilliant!!
You guys are bloody awesome. She needs saving after that performance. Call her Eileen
I think they call her “Slack Alice.”
Was convinced that as soon as the Stalwart started moving forward, it would tilt over sideways and fall off the truck! Well done guys! GREAT job.

It has long been said that a dog has a perfect outlook on life. If you can't eat it or f**k it, pi$$ on it!😂
Bailer twine and an adjustable to keep tension. Two of the most proper fixes I've ever seen..... What a babe :)
Good engine shes not ready to die save her.👍

This one deserves to get fixed up what a babe
Thoose old RR engines seems to never die :) Amazing that it started that easy.

Just found this channel I’ve not stopped having a laugh ! The tenacity and determination outstanding fellas , subscribed 👍👍👍👏
Jack, the epitome of Men's fashion! Would have been funny to drive the stolly into an MOT station like that.
So it was Jack with the balls of steel to drive her off.. Respect.
Was waiting for the stolly to come off sideways 🤣🤦♂. And that’s a hell of a pipe layer 😍
This channel deserves more credit 👏 Absolutely better that watch. Half the sh## on the tv. Keep the great UA-cam content coming.
It does... it did comfort me when I went to binge-watch the backlog and saw how young the channel is though. Seems to be doing great and it's just going to keep growing.
I like Jack's positive attitude on getting the Stally off 🤞👍
I know nothing about this stuff but I love the sound of that orange thing at the end.
That Stolly looks to be operating as designed. Yall are doing a fantastic job. Thanks for another brilliant upload.
Detroit Diesel - designed to convert fuel into noise, and not much else. Didn't disappoint.
V8 Cummins sounds better IMO. :)
screamer desiels such fun check out the bus greasemonkey for lots more detroits in buses
@@FrontSideBus not a chance

I couldn't agree more!
this is a straight eight rolls engine , twice a champ engine
Finely wielded precision jewellers claw hammer, beautiful craftsmanship

lovely to see such delicate hands with mechanical sympathy looking after icons...
Recently discovered this channel and the viewing content is brilliant well done fellas great stuff 👍
This channel is really cool. Not only interesting but also funny, thanks.
LoL! You guys are charmed. Who needs wheels when you have Jack. Time to go racing.

You're spoiling us, bailer twine and hammer fixing in one video.
Wow! You launched that Stolly 😂 . The best launch since the days of Thunderbirds on TV!
Should've got Matt to come sit on the front left, would have picked the axle off the floor
😂🤣😂🤣
Wow you have proved that the stalwart will run with 2 wheels off off. So it is a very very good vehicle 👍👌
Jacks' new daily driver.
Poor old girl. 😊❤❤❤😊
Reminds me of the RNZEME definition of battleworthy, ‘it can go forward’!
The sign of a real farmer: fixing things with baler twine.
Its limping back from battle ! Thats some lean good job the driver has balls of steel !
Good runner, one careful owner.
That worked surprisingly well 🤟
WOW. 1:40 Sounded just like my old Corolla did. Pocket Rocket!

Baling twine sorts everything!!
I love the smell of exhaust fumes in the morning..
Tusen takk for god underholdning. 👍🤗👍🇸🇯
Love the sound of the Detroit V8

Impressive build quality really, the load on the front offside wheel/hub/suspension must have been ridiculous!
this is my favorite channel on youtube,
Please make one good one out of the 2 you have would love to see it
The Orange vehicle??
What a unit.
Great content.
I like the way the winch has it's own Veee eiiiight modurrr.
Can’t beat a Detroit!! Welford? Lovely part of the world!
Would love to see you save this. Is it even possible?
The cable layer would make a great 1/24 model kit.
Pretty nice Staffa hydraulic motor on the front winch
Thanks! That was amazing.
Legend
Reminds me of a T3 Terminator clawing its way to its last effort
You guys should donate that cable layer to the "stop oil" movement to get around in town 😂 it's got that nice orange colour 😂😂😂
Comes in with a four wheel stolly :commendable: goes out with a v8 driptroit…. SUPERB …. LIKE among the best music videos ,ever
I am more and more convinced this is the "Top Gear" of the military vehicles world.
Jack, I could drink beer with you. 👍👍👍
World class that lads
You guys are amazing, bravo !
I remember seeing a Stalwart for sale in Newport South Wales as i used to drive a route there, sure it was about 3 grand then in mid 90's.
Now that’s the sort of shed you need for your tank work
I'm thinking you lot are the Keystone Cops of the mechanical era.
What's hilarious is the valves weren't even stuck and it managed to halfway steer on that one wheel. :D
That was AWESOME! Hope someone fixes her.
God dam how big is the the winch on that thing! Quad staffas! Must have come off a ship!
Tell you what, that cable/pipe laying setup on that old dozer is some bit of kit
Jack has got BALLS👍👍👍💪💪🇮🇪
Took the words right outta my mouth ,
" Hilarious "
Need to do a will it start on that deutz V8 mate they sound well
I wasn't all that sure it was going to come off the truck the way it did!
Another one of Ces Waltons,Detriot, the sound of angels singing
Always wanted one of these, but wouldn't even know where to start rebuilding the thing.
ANOTHER GREAT ONE 👍🏻
Do a ‘will it start’ on that old loading shovel with the flat tyres
It fires right up lol

Ah, brillant…take the centre wheel station and put it on the back! The old girl deserves it
I didn’t expect that!

In some ways that stolly is better than the other one, surprised you are not doing anything with it.
I'm surprised too and the sound of the engine and quite healthy....

Again surprised the ground came off so well
You'll have to go hunting for all the orange and green Range Rovers and Land Rovers. Waltons had a big fleet of them in the 80's
I wouldn’t need to hunt very hard
@@MrHewes yes they'll all be round the back somewhere,a fine fleet in there day

that cable plow , a jimmy with a Fl714 to pull the wire , thru monster
Very few vehicles out there have a v8 deutz powered winch
Come on guys it wants to live look at it dragging it's self along
1:55 thought you was going for a two step then lol
If someone really wanted to run that Stalwart but had no parts, could they rob the middle suspension unit from the left side and swap it to the right rear and run it on 4 wheels?
7:33 everyone knows the socket and extension powering that charger is supposed to be in the puddle next to it. bloody cowboys.
Just needs ballast on the front near side corner. 👌
In the days of the old Dakar Rally across North Africa that would have been the coolest-and slowest-sag wagon.
