I'm sure I can speak for other viewers here in saying that you should definitely not feel any sort of bad way about not recording an episode every single week or not constantly having a brand new project every time. Personally, that is not why I am here and I am sure its the same for others - like you said it is just a joy to see what you are knitting/making and any updates in your life. Its just lovely to sit and knit with other fiber friends!

Hello Taylor! Congratulations on the Super Bowl win! I enjoy whenever I see you’ve posted a new video. It’s really nice just hearing you’re voice, taking about knitting and crafts! But I do appreciate the time and effort needed to post and edit weekly videos. Sometimes we just need to take a break from the expectations we place on ourselves. I like both the metal AND the coconut ones. The metal ones blend more and the coconut stand out a bit more. It will be fun to see which you choose. Of course Starbaby was a total “ ham”. Loved that “stare” she gave you🐈🐈🐈ClaudiaSJI

I host a writing group 4 days / week on top of my day job. Last year I made the decision to intentionally scale back to 2 during winter months and take the entire month of February off. Getting my weekends back this month has been glorious. I say all this to say, maybe consider scheduling more down time / slow seasons for yourself? Even when you love something, you can't do it every week into eternity.

Definitely take the much needed breaks from UA-cam whenever you need. I know it take s a lot to be on it every single week. I used to make weekly videos but I really wore me down, now I just make two a month. It's a lot nicer.
I'm currently working in the I-cord bind off of my Artus shawl. That is my big plan for this weekend - to finish this thing.

I really like your ramblings. I don't think you need to have "content" to keep recording but I understand if you need a break every now and then! Love the brass buttons

Hello, it's really fine sometimes just rumbling about life:) I loved this episode, and sweet kitty too :) and if to be true, I am not worried if someone skips weeks in youtube, we all are humans, we have our own life , this must be fun, not an obligation.

Be kind to yourself, it's lovely to have your podcast first thing Sunday morning, but you really don't owe us anything, but you do need to be gentle with yourself, so if you need to skip a week, or more, we'll all understand.
If you put a pillow on your lap, it will bring your knitting up a bit, and help your back a little.

I like the metal buttons best. If you find that they may be too heavy, you could put less of them on. Of course, you have to plan your button holes accordingly. Please don't feel like you have to "plan" a video for us. Take a break from it. We aren't going anywhere. Your mental health and a stress free life is very important to a healthy, long life. I actually enjoyed the chit-chat and just knitting along with you.

I’m watching you on Monday because I’m in Western Australia. I love that your podcast is honest and unconventional. You should always just be you. Btw you have inspired me to pick up a cardigan that needs a button band added!❤❤

I was woken up at 5:30 on Friday morning by my daughter, so early morning knitting and aimlessly watching your channel it is! I know you're a metal head (yeaaah!) and I found this new band, Mrs. Piss, its Chelsea wolf's new band and its so good. Anyway. Do what you want! I like catching up on your projects here, I even watched your yell pattern video over and over so I could recreate it. It turned out beautifully! It's my favorite. But don't do all of this at your own expense. : (. Take care of yourself! A springtime sabbatical. : )

I'm always happy to see your video when it drops. I rarely miss an episode. If you feel Iike cutting back, it is reasonable. Love your raw-fleece-to-garment approach. Love your color pallet. The kitty is cute. It's cool when you go outside to garden. A lot of what you do takes time. Putting it on UA-cam might feel like too much. We'll see you when we see you. I like the larger buttons too.

I feel you Taylor, working on limited capacity over here too. I'm not sure I could sit down and film a weekly video but I do enjoy watching yours:) I like the metal buttons on that cardigan. Also just using the weekend to recharge a little and knit a little. take care.

You're certainly thinking about ALL the things, maybe realize that the channel is a personal choice for content, with your own self imposed deadlines. We love the content, but I don't think your really devoted followers want you to stress over making it! ❤ I'm getting ready for a mystery shawl with Lyrical Knits, called The Muppet Shawl ❤ and I'm Team Coconut buttons 😂 snuggles to Starbaby. Oh I'm seaming up my striped mohair sweater that i casually worked on the last near two months while being really sick. It's great to have something new in time for my upcoming birthday!

You have a lot of support here to scale down your schedule on the Tube if you want/need to. If you feel the need to post less often please do so without any regret - we aren't going anywhere and wholeheartedly understand the whys of that decision. Curious as to your final button choice as they are so clearly different.

I've wanted to start a UA-cam channel for the last 6 years and still have no idea how I would find the time... that's all to say, I appreciate you coming on to share this update, I'm excited to see which buttons you choose. I feel like either would work, but leaning towards the metal ones for their looks and leaning towards the coconut buttons because you mentioned you would like something lightweight. Did you choose already?

    • @TaylorOwen
      @TaylorOwen  6 місяців тому

I did and the metal buttons it is… I think they hold up well because the yarn, though light, is a bit stiff. 💖

Taylor, thanks for podcasting, it’s always nice to see you. Can you tell me the name of the sweater you are wearing? I remember it was popular a few years ago, but I can’t find it on ravelry. Thanks. Chris
