Just returned today from a trip to Munising. It had been 23 years since my last visit. And I live 3 hours away! (go figure) The Pictured Rocks boat cruise was absolutely amazing. Almost a religious experience. If I came into a pile of money I’d pack my bags and move there. N. Michigan is beautiful but this place is like heaven on earth. Going back in September!
Will using the double ice axes work as the 77 rocks from left and right have become a wheels as wheels with a chicken lemming seat with a balloon head to float children of God
Depends on the weather! 😉 Both are unforgettable experiences. If you want to exert energy, the kayak tour is a blast. If you want to soak in the views a little more leisurely, you can’t miss on a boat tour. We did the sunset cruise last time and had a blast! We plan to do the glass bottom tour next.
It’s very beautiful there. Just don’t be like me. During the chapel loop hike with .3 mile left to go to the parking lot,I fell and dislocated my ankle causing instant pain and swelling. Also causing my ligament to be completely torn off of the bone. If I didn’t have my husband and niece to carry me out of the woods I’m not sure what I would have done. That was June. It’s almost October and I am still on crutches. Make sure you take a back pack with first aid gear and some hiking poles would be a great idea as well. It is a gorgeous place but it was a very expensive hike for me. When people ask how my vacation went,I always say I had the biggest trip.
