You can tell Rascal is not used to following your input yet but he did well for being his first day on the Job! I think he will get better as he gets more experience ☺️
I think your mink are more useful than most politicians 👌
Thank you for sharing, Joseph & family, lovely. 🙏🙏👍👍
It's great to see Rascal out on public land, learning to do what minks do! He's such a little cutie, trying to be independent, but he's got to learn to listen to Joe. All things considered, it was a great outing!
The best channel on UA-cam all the best Joseph and family from Glasgow Scotland 🏴
Rascal surprised me. I didn't think he would catch any. Congrats on a good hunt. 😊
I’ve been watching your channel for years, really in joy your work. I never see you wear polarised sunglasses when hunting muskrats. When you wear polarised sunglasses, they will help you see deeper and clearer in water. They will take the glare of sun of the water. I wear them to locate fish when I go fishing. 👍🏻 really injoy your channel
The #1 dad, what a nice family. God Bless.
Enjoyed the walk through time with olive. I Can remember those videos of her as a baby grasshopper and just seemed like yesterday. Her and my lil are about same age, i get teared up thinking of how quickly they have grown up. Well wishes to you, your family and and all watching.
Well done Rascal. Sending love to all minks, dogs and Family. Sending love from, Jacqui, Perth Western Australia.
AWWW the little tail wag from rascal at 7:09 is so cute. i love when my boys(ferrets) do that.
Been watching your videos for a while, still amazing how you train these animals.
Attaboy Rascal! Bit of a journey but he got there haha. Thanks again for the content Joe your work is fascinating.
It's been years I don't see any of your minks hunting rats since I follow this channel. I really missed it!!! Rascal will do better the next time but he did an excellent job 😊
I like how much you include your family in your videos and getting your daughters involved to help you.
Something very sweet about a mink with a tiny collar on
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
They're such amazing little creatures.
“Keep an eye on your mink!” Awwww I love that that was so sweet but serious! Bless her heart!
Great idea for a new T-shirt motto: KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR MINK!
Joseph that's a beautiful family you're blessed with. So happy to see you successful in your endeavors.
Mustelids are so much predator in such (realtively) small packages, lol. Such badass animals. Very metal
Nice video. I have only seen minx in the wild in Central Ontario while canoeing.
Lucky young girl, to have such awesome parents.
I would have pulled back as well. Looking through the lens at least seemed like they were coming out that Way, so I figured it's a natural response so as not to interfere with the hunt? Just my guess but I sure can't fault you. Awesome video as always sir
Well done Rascal!!💪💪👍
Love you guys. Keep up the good work.
Going to have to work in some controlled environment for recall and keeping him on task.
New York City needs you, Joseph!
I know an Australian who bought his first car with money he made hunting rabbits with ferrets. I think he got both a bounty ( because rabbits are a menace in Australia) and money for the skins
When you put the pink leash on Rascal I immediately remembered Boon....😭😭😭 I think Boon was your best mink! RIP Boon! You are missed!
Wait what happened to boon?
ua-cam.com/video/6LhMlltrRNk/v-deo.htmlsi=hFhPzhR8Tcfi3AAW@@charjohn2468
I really miss Boone. He was so good at following the rocks thrown in the water.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen your vids and omg your babies are so grown up ❤ amazing work as always much love from the land down under
Are you going to try to see if you can get a badger? You have us all wanting to know.
Yes, I am actively working on it.
@@JosephCartertheMinkMan I have never seen a badger used before, that would be incredible.
@JosephCartertheMinkMan very cool should be a interesting voyage and paperwork lol
A wolverine would be epic
Rascal may be inexperienced but his potential is very evident. He’s gonna be a super hunter for sure.
That Muskrat said im getting the flock outta dodge@ 😂
Great video as usual. A real job, nature, happy family. Not like us city dwellers rotting in the offices
Early for once been watching for years just started the video sure its amazing 1.30 am here about yo fo bed but cant miss this 😂
That Lil Dude is adorable!
Great video!
У вас тепло, завидую👍🌞. У нас в Москве -24 🥶🌨️
Well done Rascal, if you took Sherlock and Rascal out together would they fight? dumb question l know but I don’t know anything about mink, except they’re cute, have sharp teeth and claws lol, would the dogs be any good in the water?, it’s lovely that your wife and daughter go with you too, tfs Julie 🇬🇧
Yes, they would definitely fight
HAVE U EVER DID A GROUP HUNT WITH ALL YOUR MINKS THATS GOOD TOGETHER?
tnx for the video
You leave the beavers alone!!! 🇨🇦 🦫
I would like to have the energy of a mink
I'm sure you already thought about it, but do you think the collar could ever hinder the mink like if they get caught up in some twigs or vines underwater? How would you deal with it or do you think the mink wouldn't panic?
Edit: well I remember watching earlier videos with you training them with the attached string so I suppose it wouldn't be an issue
You should take your dogs for when the rats are swimming away to see if they jump in the water
Great Job Rascal! Good Boy! Good Boy! :)
Whats the best way to get rid of mice in a home?
"это не я" 😄
Good job Rascal
You need to reach out to Tyler Nolan who is having a big time with rats on his Florida home Ryder's Ranch. He has exotic animals and is really needing help. Please Please reach out he may give you a great trade in tattoo work. Please help his family and animals 🙏 🙏🏽
I haven’t checked on your channel in a bit. Olive looks so grown up!! You’re such a good dad.
I think u new another mink to help out
1 thing is for sure, he didnt stole his name ;-)
Such beautiful little animals. Disgusted there are still mink farms in this day and age though :(
Not the best first showing, but it takes time and training. He'll get it eventually.
Do you make the "ch-ch ps-ps" noise, Joe? Or is it the rats? The noise when the rats are being chased. I must know, to settle an important debate. I believe it is you.
PS. we love you
Would love to know this! ❤
Also why would the rat make the noise
Sorry I mean why wouldn't the rat make the noise
Exactly, someone I watch Joe's videos with religiously believes it is the rat. I firmly believe Joe makes the noise.
Not knowing the truth is actually starting to ruin the Mink Man experience for me.
Dani Salt, you're wrong. Joe will prove it.
Bindi would have had a good day with the rats.
good vid but seemed like one mink wasn't enough. can you use 2 or 3 mink at the same time?
How’s Ben doing? Did he become the brock lesnar of minkenry?
UA-cam takes their censorship so seriously it's unbelievable. Sorry Joe. Also, I'm sure you can make one heck of a mink out of Rascal, he just needs to work on his listening skills.
Quick question for the mink man: how come you have never changed your intro for a long whiles? A new update would sure be nice.
❤
Really? his first?? I thought he was one of your oldest animals.
Anyway you are going to need more minks for this job. Do you ever run two or more minks at the same time.
Rascal was born last spring. I had a mink by the same name many years ago, so maybe that's where your confusion came in.
It's difficult to work two mink at the same time. I've done it before but it seems like there's more disadvantages than advantages.
@@JosephCartertheMinkMan It was. Same name different mink. Made for confusion. Did you run out of ideas for naming your minks? or what? 🙂
Were you successful in obtain a badger to train... This would be a remarkable challenge.
I'm still working on it. Hopefully it will be soon!!!
There are several animals in the mustelid animal family including weasels, badgers, ferrets, Marten, polecats and otters.. Which of these do you do intend to obtain and try? not to mention the wolverine, which would be very challenging.
If I remember right, he is trying to work with the local zoo. I hope it all works out though!
dude why no net?
also is gonna eat it?
Congratulations on the new addition to your family. Olive looks adorable. :)
Olive is the oldest of his 3 girls; that was just an old vid of her first hunt as a baby to compare with today, taking her first mink on his first real hunt.
@@rapheAltoid77 My bad. Thanks for the clarification. :)
How did you and your wife meet? Did y’all both like hunting or did you get her into it?
I'm a city girl 😂 Joe introduced hunting to me and the rest is history 😊.
I can understand rats but why hunt beavers ?
✌️
👍
❤❤❤👏👏👏🎉
Video was dizzying . Toofast camera movements

Primer comentario XD
Worst camera work ever almost made this video unwatchable.
Minks are such interesting creatures. have you thought about posting a video on their care process?
Seen the video on you thinking of getting a badger ,have you concidered a red fox seen a guy in the past has trained thrm tertiers and cats to hunt rats apparently the foxes were best , fast, good diggers, fit in small spaces intelligent and csn carry 5 rats in one go
I think it would be super cool to try a fox, but I'd prefer to try a coyote. But either species of canine is just going to fulfill the same role as my dogs. A badger would fill a specific niche roll of professional digger. Foxes aren't going to dig much better than any other canine. A badger on the other had is going to easily out dig half a dozen foxes. That's a badger's specialty. Having said that though, I would LOVE to try a fox and a coyote both someday. And if the deal with the zoo works out I will most likely do all three, at some point in time.
@@JosephCartertheMinkMan thanks for the reply I look forward to all future videos regardless of species hopefully in a few months I'll have the money to see all the other hunting videos
If Rascal had that muskrat but lost his grip on it, that'd explain why it was swimming so fast. Little bugger's adrenal gland just excreted all over itself! Nice hunt; Rascal might need a lil more practice following commands, but I feel confident you'll get that wrinkle ironed out soon enough~
I have a Rat that lives under my deck I feed him I wouldnt ever think of hurting him. He doesnt bother me I dont bother him. He stays outta site until I am gone and only comes out late at night to eat then back to his spot. My Cats dont even mind him. I am 40 years old and one thing I have learned is ALL Animals have a purpose and should be treated the same.
I cant wait to see bindi take on a beaver
Why hurt the beavers 😢??
Rascals first successful hunt😊
