Here's a little contribution towards the dingy repair or a new dingy.
Thank you Lowell! Much appreciated! 💗💗💗🐕🦺
Teal and the dinghy need a long-term and permanent healing session. I hope you guys get a new dinghy. Best wishes from Montana
Lynn perhaps a harness/collar with leash for Teal when he is off the boat, more responsive to ideas. Onboard maybe Compass can watch Teal and allert you two if he is using that arm/elbow. Good Call staying put for hurricane season. Be Safe 😎
It's great that you brought it up, my heart also bleeds when I see the trash on the beach. 😢
safe travels, enjoy the break.
Well, it's a little after 8am I guess, but I made it finally. I try to go help my brother on his new house a day or two a week and this time it fell on Friday. I had a good day but I did miss seeing you all first thing in the morning. Loved the video as always. Lots of variety and it looks like fun was had with friends.Dinghy pumping and sailing. What more could you want? 🙂 It's good that they got pictures of what is going on with your elbow, Teal. I hope the new meds take care of the inflammation soon.
So happy to "see" you back Gene! You had us a little worried. XO
@@OnboardLifestyle ♥
At 5:50 on the video Emma is demonstrating the correct method of administering CPR to a rib. 😂🤣😂
Hang in there guys..stay safe comfy, and keep episodes flowing...Happy Days...Cheers
Is there a dinghy build in the plans for hurricane season? more thickened epoxy and more shot glass sales 😉
You guys are so great together, complimenting each other.
Hey Teal, since you will be having to replace the dinghy eventually
you might try blowing a can of " Fix-A Flat " goop into her insides.
It may be a temp fix for those slow leaks.
You will have to remove the engine so you can turn the dinghy over to allow the
sticky goop to fill the upper leaks.
Another lovely video !
Looking forward 2 travel videos & boatwork with Basik! Hope U heal quickly, Teal. Safe travels ❤
I like how real your video are, sorry to hear about his arm praying for a speedy recovery ( Teal listen to your woman folks )I know it hard but they want what's best for you great job raising your daughter she seams to experience a lot of different things but staying safe good luck
Emma looks absolutely gorgeous, just like her mom.
Enjoy your break❤
Smart decision made by the family. Teal I hope this gives your arm the time it needs to heal, and some time for you and your family to explore your surrounds. Really enjoying your videos, thank you guys for sharing your adventure and story.
So we should now refer to Teal as Capn Tickle Me Elbow?
I feel for ya Teal, I too suffer from recurring elbow pain, I wish you happy healing. I hope you don't work up to the shoulders, that's a whole other can of pain. Take care all, fair winds & following seas.
Tikal it's without a doubt one of the best places to visit in Guatemala! Tikal is a Mayan ruin site that features five huge temples. One temple is actually 65 meters (213 feet) tall and is believed to be the tallest Mayan temple ever built!
We were there 10 years ago and it was great then, we enter from Costa Rica. Get a guide if you can.
Love it...'always bring your wife'.(if you want anything done right)
I made the bread immediately after watching your video and it was amazing thanks for sharing 😄
I'm so happy to hear you liked it!!
Good choice. Stay safe and enjoy, while you share with us! 😘
Teal knew he married miss Wright he didn't know her first name was ALWAYS
This has truly been a very active hurricane season on the pacific side of Mexico especially from the Baja south . Teal really needs to follow advice and rest the elbow now that the window to move isn't necessary at least for awhile. Glad to see that everything is working out. Be careful and stay safe my friends God love ❤ ya all
Cheers guys! 😊
Any time Trev!
FAST!! To air the dingy take your vacuum hose and hook it to the output of the vacuum and place the hose over the entire filling valve On boat
This so sums up cruising…pumping up your dinghy as you explore new destinations with language barriers. Boat work in exotic locales 😂. Get well soon Teal and definitely listen to Linh. 😜
Hi Teal, we met it Annapolis this year.I was with my wife Kirsten ad my son Bret. I had kind of the same problem you have for many months, my advice is to massage gently but firm and deep all the tendons around your elbow (yes the ones that hurt). Follow the muscles with firm but gentle pressure through the center of them starting from the elbow and down to your wrist. If you can relax the tendons and the muscles you will start feeling the improvement in 2 to 3 days. You have to break the vicious circle of the tendons and muscles pulling on each other.
Repetitive strains or excessive force with that arm, and you will run the risk of bringing the problem back unless you find a way to turn back time. Hope you get better, your friend Frederick.
Super Inflammation Man is a t-shirt waiting to happen!!
Lol, sounds like an awesome idea for a shirt! I like it!
I love it!
The red boats are tuna saners
Enjoy the down time. Stay safe we need you to make content for us to enjoy
❤❤❤⛵️⛵️⛵️🍷🥃☕️great call and please stay safe
Maybe you should take dingy in for an ultrasound, I'm not joking we use a ultrasonic probe to find air leaks on our machines at work but they are running at 80psi😉
Safe is always the smart choice.
Greetings! I love your adventures. I lived in Mex, Columbia, Ecuador. And a bit of advice. When traveling through the Latin countries. And because of that Latin macho male mentality. When you go out. You might want to watch your clothing choices. More conservative. And comfortable. I wouldn’t want you guys to get hurt. I lived in Ziuat for awhile. Safe travels 🐬🐬🙏
Thanks for the tip. We are always dressed conservative and appropriate when going into town since we know this is a pretty religious country. We wear bathing suits usually only on basik or in areas where it calls for it such as a beach cafe/restaurant. 💗
Never say die Captain!
Explore care-fully.
Teal,I’ve studied nutrition for years and you need collagen to help with the inflammation and mending the scar tissue which keeps coming back. Now two of your favorite friends will be vitamin C and L-Lisine. If possible take liposomal vitamin C as it gets into the blood stream very easily and you will need quite high doses around 10,000 milligrams a day. As for the anti inflames, look up the side effects over a long period of time.
Really like your videos, you guys are always pumping up stuff I am sure there is an attachment that fits to your power drill that works as a compressor
Hope your arm heals quickly.
Great idea to stay in that beautiful marina. Get well again cap'n.
Sounds like a good plan guys. Still lot of adventures to be had there.
Great episode guys ‼️ 🎉 The stay over is a wonderful decision. Everything needs time. See you next time. ✨ 🌊 💨 ⛵️ 🏝️ 👙 🌞 ✨
So cool that you hooked up with Nike! She's amazing.
She is the best! We love her!
Nice
Put a cast and will ,prevent usage
Linh can I make a suggestion? Do not ever allow Teal to leave the boat again.
If you and Emma need to go ashore make sure you secure Teal below decks.
Tell him he needs to rebuild one of the engines and lock the hatch behind him.
Teal is too dangerous to allow to wander unattended. Haha.
Horsetail tea helps reduce inflammation. Check out info on that to possible speed recovery.
You guys Rock !
Sail on 😊
Teal, rest is better than surgery. Looks lie you picked a good spot to do it in.
Not if it's a torn rotator cuff. Only surgery can bring about a full recovery. Rest does help, but it is not a cure. Steroid injection of the shoulder helps with pain. One shot every 3 months. I've been through it all.
You can inflate it in the dock get a spray bottle with water and another of soap. Spray it like crazy. It will show up
It's not finding the leaks that's hard...it's repairing them with the wrong adhesive that's challenging!
Medical care is so inexpensive everywhere else! $35 is not a number I've ever heard when going to a doctor!
Viva la Mexico!
On your hard bottom inflatable, you can probably get a new replacement inflatable from the manufactures of yours?
We have already approached Walker Bay. They do not make them anymore.
You may have covered this before. But can you foam fill a dinghy? I enjoy watching your video's. Wish I could sail around and visit these places.
We probably could, but the real issue is the seams have failed. If we fill our tubes with foam, they can still absorb water which will make them extremely heavy and add to more headaches. Better to try and reseal the tubes until we can find a new solution or dinghy.
Lynn there’s no way they have an MRI they are PROHIBITIVELY expensive not to mention the highly trained staff required!
One thing I've wondered is if Lynn is a former chef? She's a wizard with food. (I know, there was no cooking in this video but I managed to remember to ask this time :)
Nope, self taught! Linh learned how to cook on our first boat. And, like everything she does, mastered it!
Cruising is not having a time table = Enloy
Looking forward to your excursions! Take care! Tendons heal slowly and can be very annoying, unfortunately there's not a great deal you can do to about it. Good luck! Hope you get well soon!
Fingers crossed!
Each video is Heartwarming and beautifully well done. Stay safe and ever mindful of your health~ Wishing you another Best Day Ever ! ~Mark
Thank you very much!
Hope you get well soon. Have a safe land Incursions. Thank you for the videos
Another wonderful adventure is in the proverbial can! Thanks for posting and sharing Guys!
Im at the same point with my daily driver. Its just running on fumes. I dont want to have to buy a new one right now in this economy.
To find an air leak … cut a small piece of small diameter hose. One end of the hose goes to your ear and the other sniffs out the leak. Move the hose slowly around all seams, all patches and any suspect locations. This is how I would search out air leaks in vacuum bags for vacuum infusion when building yachts
Rest up (the girls can handle it all) and stay safe from hurricanes.

Super Tuna Seiners.
This would be a good time to have a dinghy shipped in before yours strands you onboard or at the beach.
Getting a dinghy into this part of Mexico is easier said than done. Not to say it's impossible, but it is very difficult, extremely expensive & can take a very long time.
@@linhgobenytI did not know how difficult it would be. The replacement exhaust elbows seemed easy to source and get delivered. I do hope you can repair or replace your dinghy and if replaced then a cover like your existing one might be a good investment. Best Wishes
The really shitty thing is that a lot of what is on the beach is actual shit from the homes, resorts and restaurants on the shore. DON'T go in the water at a Mexican resort. (Unless you want to get pink-eye, or worse.)
The dinghy culprit is age lol. 😂
May I ask a question regarding the chaps you made for your dinghy a while back? How are they fastened to the dinghy?
We had chaps made in Mazatlán almost two years ago. They used our material and some of their material and made our chaps in 3-1/2 days for $350 usd. They fastened the chaps with a system of Velcro and pad eyes that synched an internal bungee chord.
Thanks. I just purchased a new Highfield and am thinking about making chaps for it. @@OnboardLifestyle
Teal absolutely lucked out in the wife department. Edit: Ha! 11:27 kills me. That could be an old Popeye cartoon, or even Steamboat Willie.
I sure did!
@@tealgoben1781 Ha! I keep saying I love you guys. Your channel just makes me happy. Get that busted wing fixed, man. Drinks for your wing!
This is an example of self deprecation. We blame ourselves for the great pacific garbage patch because we are large consumers of plastic when actually we are good (not great) stewards of the environment. It is the countries that have absolutely 0 will not to pollute their beautiful coastlines. Super sad to see this.
Tuna fishing vessels.
Teal, can't you find a brace of some sort, not even if it helps the problem, but that it keeps you from aggravating the problem... like what baseball pitchers wear, which is not a sling, just.a joint immobilizer.
Funny thing about his brace. They want him to wear it and also move his arm. I'm trying to find a happy medium to help the Captain heal. I ordered a brace for his elbow to help him as well. Basically, I am trying and testing everything I can get my hands on to help him heal. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
@@linhgobenyt ...look into sports equipment... just so the arm moves in a safe way, the wearer, Teal, will adapt, and it may be a years-long apparatus he wears... best of luck.
@@linhgobenyt my brother blew out his arm pitching, and that thing he wore seems like the ticket... look up "Tommy John" surgery equipment... He was the pitcher that made elbows famous.
Cortisone shot helped me for a very similar condition. Ask a Dr. of course.
We did that back in La Paz when he was first diagnosed. The Dr. gave him a cortisone shot right into his elbow. It only helped for a short while.
PROJECTS!!!!!
Was that Niki from White Spot Pirates?
That's Nike! She's awesome & we love her. ❤️
If you all get into Guatemala, try and visit Antigua Guatemala. The ancient city that was destroyed by earthquakes.
Tuna Boats
Good decision. One iota however, this is not the most safe area in the world, inland. Be extra cautious travelling inland guys.
We are careful with our surroundings, but at the same time, we have encountered some of the best and most friendly people in this area. 😊
Teal, you may try a couple of large cans of "Fix a Flat" to repair the slow leak in your Dingy. When dry, it creates a clear, flexible vinyl membrane. After injecting the fix a flat, air up the dingy to full recommended pressure. Additionally, rotate the dingy to force the fix a flat fluid into all areas of the Dingy floats. Good luck, and my best to your family... Joe
So in Panama, are ya gonna go thru the canal?
That's the plan! We're pretty excited. 💗💗💗
that’s great, can’t wait to see y’all adventures in the Caribbean and look forward to watching you guys vids👍
To find the air leak in your dingy. Take an empty dish detergent bottle. Add 3/4 full water and 1-2 tablespoons of dish soap. Mix. Inflate the dingy to a little excess. Spray the soapy water on the seams or anywhere you suspect a leak. Any leak with be revealed by an accumulation of soap bubbles on the surface. This is an old old mechanic's trick for finding hard to find bead seal and tread leaks in tires.
Thanks, we've already done that. Our issue is not just one leak, the seams are failing and it is nearly impossible to find good glues here. We are working on finding a solution to fix it. Cheers!
Hopefully you can source a new dingy sometime soon, because regluing is not going to fix the problem long term, and it is only going to get worse.
Teal, I hope your arm gets better. That's your beer drinking arm isn't it? Maybe you should eat and drink with the other arm for a while. Take care guys.
👍
Hi @Teal. Could you the me what kind of bag that is you are carrying in to town? Thanks in advance!
To be honest, we don't really know. It was just a cheap cross-body pack that we bought from a street vender in Zihuantanejo for about $8 bucks.
Good deal. Thanks for checking!@@OnboardLifestyle

Teal is not even on any Meds. Well- there is medication back on Basik.
Thickened Epoxy. 101 uses.
Emma & Linh Pump it up Workout videos.
Taking a break while Captain Teal heals up.
Boat projects- we all know what that means. Stocking up on limes & salt.
Glad I got to see Compass- I miss the little guy.
I'm confused. We here in Western Australia are just coming in to our cyclone season. To me, that should mean the end of the hurricane season in the northern hemisphere. So, I Googled it and, sure enough, for Mexico and Guatemala the hurricane season ends in November. Is there a massive delay between when your vids are shot and when you publish them?
Don't be confused, we are typically 2-4 months behind real time. It takes time to produce these videos and we do our best to stay current.
Hey Linh, I was wondering if you get credit from UA-cam if I mention your names
on another UA-cam channel.
I was watching UA-camrs " Gone with the Wynns " latest video titled
" I became a Superyacht Chef for 36 hours "
I commented.......
" Linh on S.V. Basik would make a great Superyacht Chef.
Her husband, Teal, could rebuild their entire electrical
system between lunch and dinner "
Hey Bill! Unfortunately, we don't get credit for your mention, but it does help us as other commenters will see your comment and come check us out. Thanks for the mention!
Hey Linh, I was just joking about that YT fellow , Al Gorythm, giving you credit for my comment there, haha. I had not considered the ancillary benefit you might get from the mention though.
Like someone once said, any advertising is good advertising. I was just calling it as i see it. You are a great chef and Teal and Emma are fortunate to have you preparing the meals on Basik. I was exagerating a little about Teal being able to rewire their boat between lunch and dinner. It might take one full day.
( Taking " Use the word, ancillary , in a sentence " off my bucket list )
How can there be 132 thumbs up and no views ?
Hello from Siesta Key Florida
I think you have that confused with views. Good morning Siesta Key Florida Bill!
Poor beaten down guy. Use soapy water to find the leak.
They know where the leaks are. The seams are breaking down. The problem is finding the right glue to seal them that will hold up.

Strange as it must be to land base for a while, what do all you folkhs collectively do about dumping your waste?
