Hi Alan thank you for your visit to RCS. As I mentioned in one of your previous vids, I purchased an item from that shop on e-bay and received it within 24 hours, great service.
Seeing those enlargers and Ilford paper took me back years (1985 ish) my enlarger looked like a big black easter egg, seeing my first print of my then girlfriends smiling face appearing in the tray was like some sort of magic, so different to working in the digital age bashing out 10x8, 6x4 and keyrings to event customers on an inkjet printer 5 minutes later... Always fancied a Mamiya RB67 myself. Another enjoyable video :)
One of my old bosses (A retail Pharmacist) bought himself an RB67 not long after they came out Colin, a real 'beast' of a camera for tripod users everywhere (I would have hated it lol). I'm happy it brought back memories of the 'wet' darkroom days for you, the experience is indeed magical.
Thank you very much. Back in the 1980s even a small town like Gander Newfoundland had a camera store with its own display of old cameras. I have three rolls of 35mm colour film yet to shoot, I had better get on with it. Great video.

But……, did you wash your hands before touching those relics?🤣Very pleasant video Alan, I enjoy photography stores such as The Real Camera Co more than going to Disney World, unfortunately there’s nothing like it in south Florida, the only camera store is about one hour drive from my house and they only sell new equipment. Be well and stay safe. (hopefully you’ve completely recovered from the leg “issue”).
Great video, I could see you were in your element here, your expertise really showed. Your Liverpool store looks like the flagship store, larger and with a much better more modern display area compared to the Manchester store. Cheers, Alan, always a pleasure.

Good video, But I have seen Used camera stores in Tokyo that would make you sing Happy Birthday, and then drool before you get to the part: "To ME" as I bought a 20mm UD Nikkor that was AI converted for $180.00, and I still use it on my Mirrorless, and DSLR, and also another Domke F2 Bag in Brown as it was without the Tags, this bag was an 1977 Issue. Yes coming to ANY Camera store is a happening Must... Good Video... 😄😄🎞📸
Yes I know Tokyo has some wonderful camera stores but here in the UK we are lucky to have just a small number of independents, most of which don't stock a large selection of pre-owned gear. What I like about this company is the fact that they concentrate on classic and pre-owned equipment to satisfy all pockets. Thanks Alex 👍

Yes Derek, that did occur to me when I asked to do the video but the range of pre-owned gear they have was just too good NOT to show people imo. They deserve to do well.

John Glenn's Ansco beat the Hasselblad by a few months but the Americans took pictures from space (just) from a V2 rocket in 1946
Yeah, I think they classify Hasselblad's as being the first camera OFFICIALLY taken into space through the association with NASA.
