    Hi Phil,
    I must have missed this one?. I had a Yellow / silver Cup and loved it. A bit of a come down from my Daytona 955i S2, but i needed something to slow myself down, plus, with the Street Twin bars fitted, a bloody site more comfy (except for the windblast of an upright naked riding position) for my aging limbs. I only traded it for my Speed Twin because i wanted twin front discs, as the single disc on the Cup just was`nt man enough for two up riding. When the financial situation improves, i`l be looking for another Cup to suplement the Speed Twin, for solo riding, as i found it an absolute joy to ride. Even on the much complained about stock tyres, i could crank her over and nearly destroyed the wuss line around the rear tyre. I really loved that bike, and really wanted to keep it along with the Speed Twin, but unfortunately, the financial situation won the day. Keep the vids coming mate, i really enjoy the rides and fun with yourself, Bigglesworth, and the Captain, and hope you will soon be doing some more. Cheers mate.

    I agree it is a great bike. I have had in my 60 years a Norton Jubilee 250, Yamaha RD250, Suzuki GS550E, Honda CBR600F, Honda VFR800, Honda CBR600Fi, Triumph America and now have the Street Cup. I am only 5`6" and this bike is perfect for me as I can get both feet flat on the ground. I find it easy to ride and confidence inspiring. I love the Retro looks as do many people who tell me. It also sounds great and not too loud. Well done Triumph. I am surprised they do not sell more but secretly pleased as you do not see very many about.

    Nice bike Phil, I wouldn't mind that in that yellow, I think the mirrors would look fine just turned in the same as I do with mine, lol, good ride review buddy, RSM8.

    Very nice review, this particular model reminds me of my 1999 yellow and black TBS. The chain adjuster looked to be almost to the end in the brief shot we had of it? It appears that all the new 900s have a 520 chain and the 1200s have the 525 chains. The sprocket holes on both look the same so anyone thinking of using 900 sprockets on their 1200s or vice or versa should be warned.

      Not sure about that one Jerry. It looks like there isn't much adjustment left, and only 231 miles on the odometer, hmmm.

      @Phil480  7 років тому +1

      Cheers Ian, they are both a bit tall for me, but if it came down to the choice between Street Cup and Thruxton R, it would have to be the Thruxton for me

    Hiya Phil, lovely area to ride! Could I ask your thoughts on the fly screen? Think it’s made any difference?

    • @Phil480
      @Phil480  6 років тому

      I did put a fly screen on my Scrambler temporarily, just to see how much of a difference it makes. It is surprising how much of an improvement it makes. Only downside is, they tend to add more wind noise.

    Sounds like a lot of Asian bikes. Is this made in Vietnam?

    • @Phil480
      @Phil480  5 років тому

      Thailand, I do believe. I know the Street Twin is made there, not sure if it's the same for this one or if they make them here in the UK as well.

    This bike is based on the street twin, not the t100

    • @Phil480
      @Phil480  6 років тому

      The Street Twin, Street Scrambler, Street Cup and T100 are all the same bike just in different configurations. The Street Twin was the first one they released in the range.
      However, the old T100 is different. That has the 865cc air cooled engine, the same as the old Scrambler/Speedmaster etc.

    • @CornishMotorcycleDiaries
      @CornishMotorcycleDiaries 6 років тому

      I believe the T100 Chassis is different it weighs a bit more, hence the more sedate performance and the other difference in the Street Cup is different rear suspension, hence the seat height difference and better handling.
