I love how experienced riders still buzz out like that!
Awesome video bro. Just a quick correction: you can change engine modes while riding, just choose the mode you want and do a quick press on the clutch right after! I'm changing my Harley for one of those this week. Hell yeah.
just got mine on Friday, it's fecking unbelievable 😉😉
Not normally a fan of the classics too much but i gotta say that thing is pretty mint! really detailed review too enjoyed it man
Thanks mate, its a top bike. Its a wolf in sheep's clothing really.
I also have one on order, should have it in 2 to 3 weeks. Very much looking forward to it. I've never owned a bike, but have ridden maybe a dozen times. Got the matte black with fairing, and loads of other extras. God I can't wait!
Congrats mate, that matt black racer one is very nice. I saw that variant at motorcycle live last year was lovely! Awesome bike to have as your fist one too!
Man...that looked like fun!
Incentives right now on a new 2017 leftover brings price down to $12,650--and a $2450 Track pack thrown in free. SO basically about $11,000-sh. Picking it up this week.
You made my day! 😍
Cracking video mate
cheers, glad you enjoyed!
No worries mate. Test rode one at the weekend and very tempted to place an order
Thanks for sharing this. I think you just sold me a Thruxton R 😉
Got mine on order can't sleep the waitings killing me
I bet it is mate, wish I had one on order! Youll love it mate!
Good video mate but you failed to mention if you liked it or not :)Seriously though, had mine since they came out. Best bike Ive ever ridden (and Ive had a few). Right colour too.
haha oh did I? I'm sure I must have at some point :P Awesome spot on mate, Id have one if the wallet allowed it. aye that colour is magnificent
You don't have to stop to change modes.. Just roll off the throttle and pull the clutch in.
ah right cool, good to know that cheers mate.
Nice video. Like your gloves, which brand are that?
thanks dude, they are the Tan Oakley SI gloves.
TheFruitcake thanks m8...
Lovely bike - might get one to keep my T120 company sometime soon. Those A1 dealer stickers are a bit over the top though - would be right mad if the dealer stuck something like that on my tank.
Yes they are quite massive, they are only on the demo bikes though.
In the end I got a late 2015 Ducati Monster 821 stripe. Looks new. The Thruxton was lovely but I think it is too similar to my T120 and I wanted something completely different for my second bike.
How long do you ride & what bike did you ride before this?
about 3 hours, and directly before I rode this one I did 2 hours on the Street Twin and before that my Nuda 900
TheFruitcake so you would pick this one over the Nuda 900? Have you ever rode twisties with 180°C curves? I bet your Nuda 900 is way lighter and better there.
Would I take this over the Nuda 900, no way not in a million years. Don't get me wrong the Thruxton is brilliant machine that beautifully made and rides like a dream, but id never part with the Nuda for it. I've ridden a few roads in the UK with some pretty mad hairpins and switchbacks before yeah but not anything to crazy, only once on the Nuda. I'm waiting to get to Europe hit some of them mountain roads for that!
TheFruitcake get in touch with me if you come to switzerland.
Im planning of head to switzerland so I might do mate
Dammit!! I really want one. Did you buy?
crumpleforeskin if I had the money I'd have one but sadly no :(
snap. :-(
that colour
Its beautiful!
EE by gum lad, ye be a reet bobby dazzler untha bike.
So in retrospect, do you wish you bought the Thrux instead of the Scrambler?
No way. The Scrambler does wayyy more for me. The Thruxton is an exquisite bike dont get me wrong it just doesn't tick all my boxes. Where as the Scrambler does, I see it as the jack of all trades, master of none bike. If you know what I mean. Well untill the 1200 scrambler comes out anyway ;)
Gooood. Remember your vid where you picked up the Scrambler and you were saying you wish you could have afforded the Thrux.
Well at the time, I did very much like the Thrux and if id had 12 grand might have been a consideration. but like I said I wish I could afford that xD
Don't try an Aprilia Tuono v4...
man you are on the wrong side of the road.
Mine will be here in 3 years once the novelty is gone and it will be within normal price range. At the moment here you can get an MT/FZ10, CBR1000RR, R1, Monster 1200 etc. etc. for the same or much less money. When one says "fast" on a bike with a 1200cc engine with less than 100bhp it is relative to the situation. These are lovely bikes but people are buyig them because they are a Triumph not because they are an all out super bike.
