This isn't hacking, it's modding. As long as you're not using it to ruin other people's games it shouldn't be called hacking.

but its not mods when it changes a lot of gameplay i think of mods as in oh its another part of a game mods dont give you advantages they are jsut like addons for games they cant give advatages hakcs do thats my difference so it should be considered hacking its ot a addon its just simply cheating

The whole point of the game is to screw up, get stuck, and find a way to pull oneself out. I love getting my truck stuck in a river, and pull it out. One time, I screwed up so bad, I had to get the DT-30 to help. man, that was fun.
Yeah, I don't get modding a normal play through of this. The main factor is the ability to use different trucks to overcome different and harder terrain
Well no the point of the game is to not screw up, but if you do you should accept it and fix your mistake, that's what makes it hard but that's why we love Spintires

And what is hacking? Right, breaking in and changing some variables in the data, aka modding but with a more aggresive sound to it

however i prefer the base game unless its ar mods like the general lee
Why would you cheat in this game? It takes out all of the fun and challenge out of the game. I love having to bring two trucks for support reasons instead of having the truck fixed with the click of a button or having to winch myself out of dirt instead of having a monster truck.
You can have fun just moving really fast on off road. Also eventually you get bored with original games and can use mods for diversity.
I agree 100% but when it's you and a couple buddy's it would fun as hell to have mods

I see some comments here. Guys, Mods ar not CHEATS. Mods are just different trucks, add ons or maps. Cheating takes the challenge away. If you cheat, you really don't understand this game.
One of the best modes reduces strength of the trees. It allows you to create your own routes through the forest.
This is one of those games that should be played straight up,no cheats or hacking,just use skill, understanding and appreciation for how it was meant to be played.

The fun of the game is to use POS, bulletproof, Russian trucks in the unforgiving wilderness. Hacking this game takes the fun out of the struggle.

Love these types of videos! Much better than just straight driving, logging etc. You see what us modders do! I made it so the water and mud is nearly impassable by editing the LinResistance, it's a ton of fun. BTW if you want a different style of map to check out, look for the "GHrand Canyon" on the Workshop, I am using real terrain height data and not the Editor geometry.
There's no garage, objects etc purely terrain and one vehicle selection. I lost a lot of my maps when backups failed so I cannot add more atm sorry.

The Island - my favorite offroad-oriented map! My favorite road-oriented map is the first AW map where you start from north-east corner
umm I've done all the challenge with almost 3 star all of em and without mod the game could be pretty boring to be honest and when you are playing or racing with some friend sometime you don't want to race at night so i used the dev tools to skip the night.

I've done all achievements, all maps 1star with vanilla game, and then started modding xml. to add more addons, whinch points, etc. For example i've put the massive crane from original spintires E series (the rescue one) and modded with more articulation to have more range (there are actually 3 cranes with 3 pistons), added a proper solid grappler (from the skidder), added more stabilization legs (4 of them each corner) , added a winch point on the moving grappler, added back steering, added chassis steering (from the k700). After beating all the game stock i now have fun cranes. It is satifying to tweek xml to add more stuff. I know there is huge library in steam workshop and have installed a few but i find way more satisfying to add something myself.

The difference between a hacker and a pro is that a pro doesn't need his own system to win a game.
What about if you have already finished the entire game on the hardcore and you feel like restarting using modded vehicles?

i use spintires plus/spintiresmod. exe but just for the tracks and the electric winch.
also ST+ made the camera less terrible. i really miss that. the camera is my one complaint with the games.
that being said i can still play just fine with out both. the winch hardly makes a difference.

I've edited the xml file in my Spintires game so I don't get damaged or use any fuel. I do still drive very carefully but not having to worry about fuel and damage means I can enjoy the game much more and surely that's the whole point?

I played over 200 hours of spintires, I think it's safe to say I'm a pro/expert. Sinds the beginning I experienced all kinds of changes of the game, the mud changed a lot. It changed from stick it in 1+ and race to get stuck in deep mud everywhere. I'll say the co-op achievement took me the longest to get. the people you'll meet in mp really suck and give up the game immediately and I'm the guy that can speed run the level. (in hardcore mode, I'll take 8 points to the mill) Trust me I got this, no cheats needed
did u heared of the sandbox on this game and the dev tool isnt in a hack it can be unlocked in singlplayer

Actually, battery powered winches are a thing and are used. But not very often.... Still, it's a good demonstration

All truck/jeep winches are run by battery.... You would only find gas winches on big tanker/cargo ships... Don't think I have ever seen a winch that's gas operated on any land vehicle, even massive tow trucks that are built to tow loaded semi's
Almost all old offroad trucks had rear winch powered by driveshaft from gearbox. You can't move stuck 30 ton truck with some tiny electric motor, at least not with the technology they had back then.

This guy has no idea what he's talking about.
It's not hacking or cheating when you are playing the game by yourself.
I usually drive with challenges but I sometimes take ridiculous vehicles or mod the .xml files to just purely enjoy offroad driving with my favorite vehicle.
Cheating isn't the right term either. The game supports mod, how is that cheating? It's still part of the game.
There is no Pro vs Hacker in Spintires.
There's just differences of play styles.
You know it's easy to cheat when playing golf, just write down any numbers on your scorecard. Only person you do cheat is yourself by removing the challenge of the game (which is the whole point of the game)
I only use the hacking tools for fun when i'm bored, for example trying to stack the car and jeep with only a truck

Seriously? change the code in the xml files. It's as easy as that. If you don't know where to find said file you should research programming.

I wouldn't say "Hacker" , more of Modder or Cheater.
modder* its not hacking. you just edit game files or use the devtools, using the advanced dev tool hack is a hacker.
technically cheating if devs* handle modding like regular st, ie not allowing mods in mp
Dragon Games all of those are considered exploiting or modding. Hacking is going into sites databases and stealing their stuff, usually people sell it on the black market for money.
if so, why were they implemented? exploiting is using a bug in the game, and modding is changing game files.
Dragon Games exploiting is when you’re using menus like that Dev menu and the other one too, both of those were exploiting

steam workshop exists so i guess youre actually supposed to if you play boring ass titles that only survive due to the existence of mods such as spin tires and spintires mudrunner. i loved the base games until they were beaten in maybe 8 hours.... so i added mods and it was 1000x better.
I use Spintiresmod on Mudrunner for experimenting 😁 but not for playing the map

The only mods i would use are ones i see for other vehicles such as ive seen one with a ford bronco other then that i wouldnt use a mod takes from the game

I guess you can say i "hacked" it because i have done all these things but i dont play the game for the objectives i just like playing with the vehicles and seeing what i can make them do. (seriously though this is called modding not hacking)

It's a shame, that you need spintiresmod to make track vehicles work :(
Dont want to change game physics, but some of those vehicles are quite fun to drive
(did this in spin tires before and fun was gone due to default mod options like no damage etc.)
