I am a heavy duty mechanic, and I use Snap-On, but then again, I use my tools every single day. Now, for tool organization, check out Olsa Tools on Amazon. You can pick up a socket organizer set(6, 3 metric, 3 SAE ~ 1/4, 3/8, 1/2) for something around 75 bucks Canadian. They also make plier racks, screwdriver holsters, etc.. Air tools, if you want to go that route, AirCat is amazing. Some of the most powerful air tools are offered by them, and all at a very reasonable cost. I have a 1/2" Aircat and it out performs my 1/2" Ingersoll Rand(which took only 1 whole day to start by passing air). Hand tools, go and check out Tekton, I have seen many videos on here that have people comparing Tekton to Snap-On. They seem well built for what they are, I personally do not know how they would last being used every single day, but for a fellow like yourself, who may only pull wrenches every other day, they should hold up. Ratchets, get yourself some high tooth count ratchets, I am talking no less than 90 teeth. Sure, they will cost a little more compared to the lower tooth count ratchets, but that one time you cannot get a click on the ratchet, you'll kick yourself in the ass for not having a higher tooth count. There have been times that I have been under the hood of an E550 dealing with a turbo job, and the lack of room, has justified the high tooth count ratchets. Plus, they feel nicer. Good luck, and if you have any questions, I can do my best at helping you out.
You just need to find a couple Talented graffiti artists, tell them what you want, and cut them loose on your wall. Be a awesome back drop for Vehicle pics with the good shop lighting.
i dont mean to be off topic but does anybody know a method to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot my password. I love any tricks you can offer me
I bought one of the carts the other day and have to say i am a big fan of it so far! Price was killer and assembly was easy. For someone like me who isn't a mechanic, it was the perfect setup. Once they are loaded down with tools they're pretty solid. No complaints here.
The gloves were a good thought till you touched everything. Then touched your phone then took the gloves off and touched your phone again makes no since. Just use hard sanitizer!!!!!
I recommend Sonos. Sound really well BUT it’s Wifi system. I use them and it’s well worth every penny. You can pair separate speakers and create groups. Also be able to hook up to your tv as well.
The air compressor next to the one that you were looking at up on the shelf I know roofers that run them and they love them for the price and the reliability it’ll run for roofing guns
Jack i work at Best Buy as a installer. If the shop is gonna have WiFi and great WiFi my suggestion is to get sonos 1’s. They are little speakers that connect to the sonos app through your phone and connect to the WiFi. All you need is a power outlet in each corner for the speakers because all they need is power. All four of them can be used as a single speaker for rooms or you can group them together. Look into sonos $200 for a speaker, but great sounds quality and won’t need a sub for it. If you want to go wired with a receiver you have to run speaker wires in all the corners to the receiver to the tv if you want tv sounds, but if you want the sonos to play from the tv that won’t work because you would have to buy a sonos soundbar for it that can be mounted to the tv with the proper brackets.
I personally would get a bigger compressor Home Depot $499 60 gallon tank. And I would put it in a corner room hard lines around the walls with quick couplers with the coil lines just feel like airing up tires and what not, and I would also hang The aerial from somewhere central location at the shop from the roof. Can’t wait to see the tool collection I have the rollaround cart had it for probably 8-9 years still working great. 18 months ago I bought a 54 inch cord the short single one and as my tools grow I can add side boxer. I think like most of us if we are enthusiast the shop is just part and parcel of it love the content please keep it coming love the shop stuff. Also I don’t know if you mentioned if you have exterior space to hold your trailers.
if you are needing impacts, go for Milwaukee fuel, I'm a diesel tech and I use them in everything, very few things a 1/2 can't break free, I'm sure on the pickups/cars there won't be much they can't do, eliminates the clutter of air hoses and cords for impacts, just a suggestion. A little pricey but definitely worth it. Plus they make hundreds of other tools that use the same battery style.
One thing to not cheap out on is a welder for sure. I’m a heavy diesel tech and The best welder for almost any project is a miller multimatic 215. It will do everything an automotive guy wants. Sonos is probably the Cadillac of home type sound systems too. Can’t say enough good about it
Paint the floor, go to obsessed garage for the pressure sprayer set up! Make covers for the racking if you plan on washing inside. It will ricochet off the truck onto the shelves. Looking good so far!
Personally I would recommend using air for stuff like air hammers, filling up tires ect. Leave the impact gun and drills ect. To Milwaukee and it’ll save you a ton of time. Just an idea 👍🏻
One thing with those 120 volt compressors is the CFM is very low. 5.1 CFM at 90 psi is technically enough to run a lot of air tools, but not to their full potential. If you plan on using paint guns, grinders, sanders, or air impacts, they are really gonna lack oompf with that compressor. I know you don't want to spend a whole lot of money, but just something to think about. I believe Lowe's sells a 60gallon Kobalt 2 stage compressor for $600. Not much more but youll get almost double the CFM at 90 psi and that'll be enough to run any air tool.
The electric Bauer 2000psi you can definitely not go wrong. 2 year warranty for $49 I believe and that covers anything. Hose and all. I have it for my detailing business and it’s the perfect one. Definitely beats any other brand I’ve had and I’ve pretty much had every kind lol.
Sonos for the surround sound. You hook them all up to one app and then you can adjust volume and music for each one or the same song amongst al of them
Hi from Canada, Jack...just a thought you should try to epoxy coat the floor BEFORE you get too much further along. Oil stained concrete doesnt look good. Congrats on the new shop...keep yo the great content. Stay safe and stay healthy.
Just ordered my Kove Comuter 2. Thanks for the discount brother. Enjoying the videos for the past several years. Keep them coming. Hooe you and your wife. And little dirty max jack have a great and blessed Easter! God Bless brother.
If your looking for a multi process welder I would look at the Eastwood mp250i. Comes with everything you need to do all three types of welding and it’s a great value for what you get. Great quality too!
Miller Multimatic 200 w/ Auto-Set Elite & TIG/ contractor kit. I got one of those welders at home they work great. 110 and 220 capable. Very nice set up I love mine.
The snap on ball joint press is a must especially if you own a gm truck, I have used many of them and own a gm 2500 and the snap on ball joint press is the way to go (also dose u-joints) buy it used if you don’t want to spend the money on new but get it
I DJ with my cousin on occasion. I would recommend JBL for the cheaper end of things with great quality. Most commercial stores use Sure Systems which is about the most expensive you could go. Best systems I can recommend. Also for welding I highly recommend Miller (what I personally use) or Lincoln are also great welders. I'd love a shout out if you decide to go with my recommendations. Enjoy the new shop! Can't wait for all the new content! Stay safe.
For a starter multi purpose welder I got the titanium 200. Love it. It's no miller but for learning its awesome and does great especially on a budget and learning it does awesome. Had 2 titanium welders now the mig 140 and this 200 no regrets
What kind of flooring are you looking at? Swiss trax flooring seems to be a popular choice and you could spell out durtymax or enthuzst with the tiles I'm sure.
Congrats bob the new shop !! Love seeing the other sides of you’re channel !!! Also was so grateful and appreciative that both you and Jake wore masks and gloves..
so if you dont want to buy all HF tools, tekton sockets from meijer ( or amazon ) are amazing and good warranty, i know plenty of people use them daily, sunex wrenches, ( or gearwrench), i use mine daily, ( diesel tech), also the welder from HF are really good for what you pay for them.
Good entry multiprocessing welder in my opinion would be a Miller multimatic 215 it does mig, tig, and stick. Runs on 110 and 230. Can't go wrong for the price, check it out. Keep the great content comming man!
Notice how the same gloves you used to “protect” yourself are the same gloves that touched your camera and SD card, also the same gloves that touched your jacket which rubbed on your truck seat.
Yah it really is hard to adjust to trying to wear gloves to be safe as you can't touch hardly anything that your used to, its like nope, can't even touch your face anymore...
If you want a fire setup for sound go with Sonos... breeh you won’t regret it. If you have WiFi it’s 🤤... if not they have Bluetooth as well. We just did an outdoor area with all Sonos. Duuuuude it kills!
Get a Lincoln 210 MP I love this welder and if you aren’t experienced it will do the set up for you. It’s rival is Miller 220 that can weld AC which means it can weld aluminum; aside from that the 210 is way less expensive and lets you weld stick, MIG, and TIG just about anything!
Hobart 210 MVP for all purpose welding its made by miller but cheaper than miller and it’ll weld anything you’ll ever need and you can run it 110 or 220. Gas or flux core
I used to work at that Harbor freight lol. Good ole East Towne Mall lol. I do have to admit their "premium" brands have been getting much better than years past.
That compressor might be way louder than what you are willing to tolerate. Unless you keep it outside when in use. Take advantage of the 220 and get yourself a stationary 2 cycle. Run hard line on the back or two walls then reels off of that.
I got the roku sound bar was sceptical at first because of the price but it was super clear and crisp and you can add speakers and it's all blue tooth got mine from walmart
I would recommend the Vulcan multi process or the titanium the titanium is a good bang for your buck and works great but the Vulcan is more like a Lincoln for the sound system try the Sonos system found on amazon it’s a great system, works with Alexa, has a punch, and is very loud. Good luck
get. VULCAN 140 T Harbor freight they are well worth it!!!!!!!!! hooks up to 120 so you can use an extension cord, can weld aluminum, super easy to tune the welder for what you're welding. HIGHLY RECOMENDED!!!!
I bought the harbor freight mig 140. I'm building a portable bandsaw mill. It's a 120v mig. It's a great welder for 400 bucks. Just go straight for a 220 volt multiprocess or mig. Vulcan or titanium weld like pro welders.
I tried...but you keep saying it..it's Trench drain...not French drain lol. French drain is located at the foundation of a wall, black corrugated pipe. Phew...okay, got that off my chest lol
Just a recommendation from Personal experience. If you can put the compressor in a side room or far away from where you work. You may have to run some extra hose but it’s so worth it in the end! I can’t stand having to talk over a compressor all the time or have it drown out my music!
Run a hard air line down both sides in the middle. Then have 20 ft air hose. Get a decent size air compressor with a large tank. If u run anything u need volume. Trust me. Die grinders, sanders anything for a period of time.
I use a ahp alphatig 201 xd and a millermatic 252 the ahp has a crisp arc and the Miller has a lighter gun and smooth but for a 3 and one I would go with the millermatic 220.
If ur goin w a sound system u have to go with Bose I have a few of there speakers and sound bars between my house and shop and work love every single one of them
Hey jack love what you are doing keep up the good work so this is a idea so for the air hose and the card put it on the left when you get it it would make it easier
I have the exact same jack I love it picks up my lmm like nothin! Check amazon for tools gearwrench makes good wrenches sockets ratchets and all that. The icon stuff from harbor freight isn’t terrible either. Grey pneumatic makes good impact sockets and check out Ernst socket rails I have some and I love em. 🤘🏼
When looking for a cheaper welder that can run multi process I would go with an ESAB. Miller’s and Lincoln’s can be pricy when buying multi process machines.
Just found your channel and saw this video. Then saw that your at the harbor freight on RT30 in Lancaster. I live in lititz! New subscriber here! Hoping to learn more of what your shop does.
That compressor doesn’t seem like it’s going to be quite big enough to adequately supply air to that large shop. My shop is about that size and I have 2 80 gallon compressors. Granted, that is definitely overkill and one is back up but a 40 just seems awfully small. Hopefully I’m wrong though, wish you guys the best of luck!
oil free compressor you will hate listening to it in the shop ... I suggest looking at something like this ... www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/dewalt-30-gallon-air-compressor-155-psi-dxcm301 Contact Eastwood (they are in Pottstown PA) about welders... they may give you a partner deal 😉 Put power washer close to door so you can take it outside and hose down stuff before bringing it in to shop ... and make sure air hose reaches outside also mount it on the ceiling ... so you can blow off dirt outside
Hey Jack, I see that you went to the Harbor Freight in Lancaster off of 30, that store isn’t too nice and doesn’t have a great selection. I would recommend you check out the store up in Lebanon, it is a lot nicer store and they have a better selection because it is bigger. It may actually be closer to you over in Marietta. I am right in the middle of the two but the one in Lancaster is a little closer for me but it’s defiantly worth it to go up to Lebanon. Keep up the great content!
Hmmmmmm ..... That wall would look nice painted in a slate black with your logo painted across it with a chalk white paint , just a thought from a follower that can not drive anymore , good luck with the new shop , stay safe
B&W sound systems are really good have had one for 4 years and I love it. Also has 2 subs included but the prices are a little high for the whole system. Love your channel man great videos.
I took a guess at 8k, and man was I way off! Looking at getting a small 30x30, already started my wonderful collection of tools and toolboxes pretty much whatever I can get my hands on! Thanks for getting it into perspective how much I’ll truly need to spend to get it up to par with a badass shop 🤟
Nothing like having to touch everything like a kid in a toy store lol. Get a bigger compressor, otherwise when your using a small one it will run non stop. I have a smaller mobile harbor freight welder, I see people say not to buy them, but mine gets worked hard and has been great. I've built multiple rust buckets with it. I have a large older one for thicker gauge/chassis work.
Whatever you do don’t get an engine stand from harbor freight, that mistake almost cost me an engine. The welds broke but luckily the oil pan was pinned against the upright and it didn’t fall off entirely, and it was only a v6 it’s not even that heavy
I will say you need to go with th gp line for impact socket here or some that I have that are really good quality 1319 1319d 1326m 1326md Gre9772 You can get all of these off of Amazon for frealy cheap
Jack I bet nobody noticed but remember that tuned l5p Duramax in one of your old videos it looks the same as the one your giving away instead it's on speacialty forged wheels
Hey Jack, i have a buddy that was a matco dealer and has been out of it for a year or two now. He’s still got piles of tools that he’s been trying to get rid of (at cost). Hes got more than just matco brand such as gearwrench and silver eagle and others. Let me know if youd be interested. It would be helping both of you out.
Skip the air tools Milwaukee or your favorite battery powered tool will save a lot of hassle and air lines. Been there done that. Cheers 🍻 bud love the new shop.
Jack make sure you get motion senors for the inside of the shop it works great with cameras I also work with a security system company if you ever need any help with thet
Not trying to tell you what to do but I think you should paint the wall white, you can never have enough light, especially when your down under a pickup or anything it helps, trust me
definitely get a miller welder. I highly recommend them.
Lincoln red or Dead
Pay once, cry once. Miller or Lincoln can’t go wrong.
I would suggest two other things for the shop.
1. Once you get the rest of the wall completed, look at acoustic panels for the wall to help with echoing in the shop, it will also help with your future surround sound system. If you dont want to do panels, canvas posters will also work.
2. For your window where your coffe cafe is gona be, look at getting shades for the window, but i would suggest looking into a dual shade system. What i mean is one shade that is a light diffuser. That is nice for when you want to have light coming in but so it doesnt ovet expose for video purposes and its just nice in general, then also a regular shade, or you can go big and get a blackout shade.
Love the progress and succes Jack!! Inspiring!!! Whens the truck meet your gona have at LRA again this year??

Just a recommendation from Personal experience. If you can put the compressor in a side room or far away from where you work. You may have to run some extra hose but it’s so worth it in the end! I can’t stand having to talk over a compressor all the time or have it drown out my music!
Run a hard air line down both sides in the middle. Then have 20 ft air hose. Get a decent size air compressor with a large tank. If u run anything u need volume. Trust me. Die grinders, sanders anything for a period of time.
Lincoln 210 MP, that’s the welder you should get. Portable, and does all three. Stick, mig, and tig. Best bang for the buck
I use a ahp alphatig 201 xd and a millermatic 252 the ahp has a crisp arc and the Miller has a lighter gun and smooth but for a 3 and one I would go with the millermatic 220.
Get the Vulcan Omni pro 220 and never look back been running this welder flawlessly for two years now highly recommend!!
If ur goin w a sound system u have to go with Bose I have a few of there speakers and sound bars between my house and shop and work love every single one of them
Look into Tekton tools. Great quality tools and great prices. Gearwrench tools also have great tools.
21 minute video.. YES!!! i love these long videos!
Hey jack love what you are doing keep up the good work so this is a idea so for the air hose and the card put it on the left when you get it it would make it easier
Hit up dymaxryno for the electric pressure washer he has a great one
How do you find it
It's on one of his videos for the wash station he did I'll look
Sorry spelled it wrong it's dmaxryno
@@ccspitsmoking1511 I've seen his channel thought maybe there was a link somewhere to buy it
Just posted it in here
I have the exact same jack I love it picks up my lmm like nothin!
Taylor Ray has a video on a good affordable welder and plasma cutter 👍🤙👌
oil free compressor you will hate listening to it in the shop ... I suggest looking at something like this ...
www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/dewalt-30-gallon-air-compressor-155-psi-dxcm301
Contact Eastwood (they are in Pottstown PA) about welders... they may give you a partner deal 😉
Put power washer close to door so you can take it outside and hose down stuff before bringing it in to shop ... and make sure air hose reaches outside also mount it on the ceiling ... so you can blow off dirt outside
The 2016 Denali would even more beautiful with a lp5 ram air hood😍
Hmmmmmm ..... That wall would look nice painted in a slate black with your logo painted across it with a chalk white paint , just a thought from a follower that can not drive anymore , good luck with the new shop , stay safe
Milwaukee power tools are definitely the way to go on a budget
Yes Milwaukee is great dont buy dewalt
Way to go period
If your going mig and tig wielding go for miller is the best smoothest weilds
the titanium multi process is a super nice welder i love mine
It's nice to see the cost of starting a *shop* . Thankyou for sharing!
hey jack you could buy a other shelf and put the beams on wthout the grille and put your wheels in
Miller multimatic 220 for the welder. For all the stuff you’ll be doing, it should be the last welder you’ll ever have to buy👍🏻
B&W sound systems are really good have had one for 4 years and I love it. Also has 2 subs included but the prices are a little high for the whole system. Love your channel man great videos.
Does the workshop have a toilet.
Hanson socket trays for in the tool box best way to go
You should try and get some de ionized water for the detail corner
I took a guess at 8k, and man was I way off! Looking at getting a small 30x30, already started my wonderful collection of tools and toolboxes pretty much whatever I can get my hands on! Thanks for getting it into perspective how much I’ll truly need to spend to get it up to par with a badass shop 🤟
If u got the orange jack and the big red toolbox that is exactly what I bought last year and a Vulcan welder
Totally stoked, can't wait to see the rest of the shop being built!
I will say you need to go with th gp line for impact socket here or some that I have that are really good quality

You can get all of these off of Amazon for frealy cheap
All you have to do is search up the numbers and it will popup
For speakers amazon has some called Pyle and I have them in my garage. They’re pretty good
Jack make sure you get motion senors for the inside of the shop it works great with cameras I also work with a security system company if you ever need any help with thet
Put plywood on that wall and then attach the hose rack to it. Might be easier.
Why dont you make a custom wheel/tire rack to hang off the wall?
Nothing wrong with harbor freight, I just stopped what I was doing when I got the notification, fixing my dump trailer. Lol
I definitely think its best to get cheap stuff to start with and then upgrade as you need to!!!
What part of PA are you from
Not trying to tell you what to do but I think you should paint the wall white, you can never have enough light, especially when your down under a pickup or anything it helps, trust me
Jack you can go live on UA-cam!
If you want a multipurpose welder to learn on get a Lincoln 210MP. It’s worth spending a little extra money
beverage fridge?
