I’ve never used poly gel, but have seen many use basecoat gel in place of the slip solution and liked it better. Just a tip to play with perhaps.

Thank you!! No I don’t, I only wipe it off at the end, before filing the shape and after applying the topcoat.. I’m showing this in the video :)

How do you feel about top coating the bottom of your nails to make the glitter pop even more? I see most nail techs doing it with a clear design like this one.

@@jiya_6610 and also has other ingredients in it that can effect the way the acrylic cures. I am extensively educated in how products are formulated to work together even mixing brands can cause issues let alone when you start substituting what you want. It compromises the integrity of the nail. Making it too brittle or too hard with no flexibility which is even more dangerous and can lead to severe injury to the nail plate and matrix. If you are in a salon and don’t follow proper recommendations from manufacturers on how to use their products and you are causing injury, you could have a lawsuit on your hands. It’s not good standards of practice. I wouldn’t want it done to me, therefore I wouldn’t use makeshift products on others.
I have badic poly gel colors n lots gel paint i just paint in top poly gel tight now I did gold loose glitter for tips but I topcoat still bumps on fine grain glitter I got many glitters I wonder can we just mix it in ill try
Hey, I absolutely love this design I just did my first set of polygel nails and I need to work on my filing LOL I wish I was as good as you. But I just wanted to let you know that I tried clicking on your link for the model ones website to get the glitter gels that you are using and it says the page cannot be found so in case you get any type of commission from it I was just letting you know that the link is dead. Also, what did you mention you use instead of slip solution ?? Are u just using isopropyl alcohol? Thanks 🥰💕💗

I’ve always used gel, but I’m getting more and more into poly gel. I’ve tried acrylic once but didn’t like it🙈 the material was too hard, took forever to file and didn’t feel right... but maybe I’ll give it a try again sometime🙈❤️
What nails are they ? Can they be used as dual form nails ? I would prefer a full nail then a tip for my poly gel.

The polygel is cured with the uv lamp they feel strong
@@marianalopez3132 Yes I know. A do my own gel nails about 7 years. But now they are longer and classic uv gel is too flexible I don't like it. I do them pretty thick but still. I can not use acrylic at home.

@@xtracreamxtrasugar4134 Polygel is easier to work with because you need to use a slip solution to manipulate where you want it to go. Hard gel takes more skill to apply because it runs everywhere if you don't work fast enough. I have already invested into purchasing a lot of hard gels so that's what I work with. But i suggest polygel if just you're beginning to learn how to sculpt nails.

@@xtracreamxtrasugar4134 @thenailhub has the most in depth tutorial on gel application and filing technique (two separate videos). She's a certified nail tech educator. I've gotten so much better with applicaiton and filing after watching her.
