Man D.Gray-man was my favourite in 2013. I remember waiting after the hiatus. I remember the happiness I felt when it returned on July 17th 2015 (I wrote it down in a journal, i sounded ecstatic). I was so young then but this series was a big factor in my aesthetic and art style and perspective even now. It will always have a special place in my heart. And my eyes, because every time Hoshino-sensei comes back and hit me with that gorgeous art I just feel like the first time I read chapter 219.

This anime is so underrated , the gothic themes , animation , soundtrack , characters and story is just so damn good . I hope it's popularity resurges and more of the manga gets adapted (I hope they keep the dark aesthetic of the 2006 version this time ). This soundtrack is so full of nostalgia for me ....

I rewatched the whole anime including d gray man hallow and then I just started crying because I remembered all those happy times that Allen spent in the order and now I'm back here listening to this. SPOILER: Timcanpy dies and Kanda tries to look for Allen even after he left the order with Johnny since he quit in the science division to look for Allen. It turns out that The Earl is actually Mana and he and Nea (the 14th) were actually 2 parts of a whole and The Earl had killed him.
I used be at N3 level proficiency in Japanese... I used to sing a lot of songs, this one in particular was among my favorite... That was about a decade long ago... Nowadays I rarely listen to this song. Once a beloved song, now brings me so much nostalgia and... A bit of pain too, because as far as I know, I won't ever feel like in thoses days again, I'll never live thoses days ever again. I'll never ne able to be fully immerse myself, nor I'll be able to feel this song like before.
This is it, the song that got me into D.Gray-man, and inevitably into anime itself. Four years ago I'd accidentally found a video of this song's scene (the video itself has long been deleted) and the characters, the shining lights floating from the piano, and of course the beautiful music itself absolutely enchanted me. I had no idea what was going on in the video, of course, and now that I think about it that was actually a HUGE spoiler, but either way I went to read the manga. And even though I had to wait 2 1/2 years for chapter 219, just like everyone else, it was completely worth the wait. I am still infatuated by this work of art. I am so glad D.Gray-Man is back.

This anime had the potential to become just like Naruto or Bleach imo. The plot is great just like Bleach. But it's really killing me on the inside knowing both Bleach and D.Gray-Man just stopped without a proper ending I just can't. :(

The anime ended because it caught up to the Manga at the time but the Manga has been on hiatus for 2 years now due to the author's health. Recently she opened up a instagram (hoshino1000) showing her working on it. So the series may be returning soon.

I almost gave up hope that the manga would continue, so I didn't check it for the last two months but yesterday I started reading Pandora Hearts after waiting for it to finish and on the bottom of the page was a link to D.Gray-Man 219, I was like: "The hell? This is it, the song that got me into D.Gray-man, and inevitably into anime itself. Four years ago I'd accidentally found a video of this song's scene (the video itself has long been deleted) and the characters, the shining lights floating from the piano, and of course the beautiful music itself absolutely enchanted me.
I had no idea what was going on in the video, of course, and now that I think about it that was actually a HUGE spoiler, but either way I went to read the manga. And even though I had to wait 2 1/2 years for chapter 219, just like everyone else, it was completely worth the wait. I am still infatuated by this work of art.

from 2006 (start of the manga) to 2011 (when i start watching the animated series) up to this date, July 2024 and i never stopped loving Allen Walker and the whole series. And this song, i always play it everyday and i never get tired of listening to this masterpiece. Thank Hoshino Katsura-san for giving us this masterpiece 🩷🩷🩷

The anime ended because it caught up to the Manga at the time but the Manga has been on hiatus for 2 years now due to the author's health. Recently she opened up a instagram (hoshino1000) showing her working on it. So the series may be returning soon.
