Think i can rustle up about 50 gallons of old rustoleum if you need a hand w/ zombie proofing. B.S. aside, never disappointed my man. Makes for must watch YT every single week! 🤘
Seriously the "damage" is truly dramatic and very realistic!! Plus the tip on the fumes is superb, especially if you viewing public are novice crafters creators or underage modelers, Safety First ~ Open Windows. Marvelous craftsmanship sir!!
I've been following your channel for only about 2 months and I have to admit, at first you really used to p*** me off with your repetitious comments (e.g "go ahead and......). But, as I've watched, you progressed and "matured " as a maker and presenter, and I now thoroughly enjoy your channel. I used to make terrain for wargaming , many years ago, but your technique and craftsmanship far out-weigh what I used to do. I now marvel at your craftsmanship and imagination. I will continue to be a rapid supporter.
Hi Mike, thanks for hanging in there haha... I've learned a lot and still have a lot to learn with regards to creating videos. Improving voice over editing is something that I've been working hard at trying to improve.
These walls turned out great. I really like the damaged and worn look you went with too. All the little overgrowth and small details make it more than just a fence. Awesome job.
I really like the montage at the end as well. The skeletons looked great in the graveyard. Can't wait to see the next video, hopefully more undead 🧟♂️
I love this series so much. I need to add a slightly more New Orleans flare to it for a Deadlands Noir game I'm running, but this is PERFECT and amazing. Thank you for your time and sharing!
As others have said, best crafting channel ever! Makes my early Saturday mornings (I live in New Zealand so I’m a day ahead.....), way more fun that morning cartoons. Awesome build and love the fence railings! So what’s next? Outhouse of doom.....would be quite fitting for a cemetery me thinks.......😜
So glad you're making some graveyard stuff. I started making some myself and got discouraged. Perhaps I'll have to pick that project back up now. Thanks for the inspiration once again!
Awesome Nate, I'm glad I the video gave you some inspiration to tackle the project. You got this! After all, everyone needs a creepy cemetery setting.... right?
It is so bizarre how you keep releasing videos that have projects I have either just completed or am currently working on. :P These look amazing as usual. And, again, you uploaded the video with perfect timing for me to enjoy over dinner.
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT naw bud, thank you for the awesome videos! You have definitely showed me a lot of ways to up my terrain game and it's appropriated please believe me! You also seem to always remain humble about your work and twords your viewers ( not gonna name channels but there are unfortunately a couple jerks who are far less talented than you and could learn some examples from you on how to act). Stay safe, have a great day, and we are looking forward to your next video!
Great looking stuff! Yeah, the damage on the fence is nice. Great little project. Looking forward to more in the graveyard series (to add to what is already there, as you mention in the beginning). You should totally do a Halloween/Autumn theme, lol. Haunted trees, giant cauldron, spooky cave entrance. :)
I love these. I'm collecting the NECA TMNT/Universal Monsters figures and want to make some kind of graveyard diorama for them. These should work very well.
Nice, simple build with clear instructions, as always. Can we expect some LEDs sneaking in somewhere, perhaps in the main gate pillars ? A little variation in the surface depth of features like the stonework is easy to do and adds a huge sense of 'realism' to the build. Love it!
These turned out great. Only thing I could imagine to make them more modular is to make the fences open on one side and us a magnet at the bottom of each pillar to attach them to a single post at the start or end. That way you could make an endless long fence if you wanted to with not having to deal with 2 posts next to each other. Perhaps by making a few posts with two magnets facing in 90 degrees, you would be able to make corners too. Not sure about that as the posts don't seem to be square looking from the top down. Like usual: way above the average you see here on youtube.
I sculpt my own crows, I love to do it, And they'd cost me a fortune if I had to import them from over the pond. I like this build but I always like the Gothic stuff.
I hear ya on sculpting your own crows. I sculpted one in one of my first videos here on the channel. The creepy sign post, along with other critters like the rats. As for the Gothic themed builds... ya, I love them too!
did it get dark at your place last night? looks like someone tossed a bit of shade your way... just remember, if no one is hating on you, you're not doing your job! LOL. great build as usual. keep on crafting! your work is amazing! and that table.... OMG! I loved that collab!
I think the pillars on either side of the fence should have been separate. Having two pillars against each other doesnt look quite right but a small magnet on the base would have held them in place very well.
Loved this build!!! Seems spot on since we're getting close to Halloween. I love the creepy builds!! I also want to know where you get your t-shirts you wear! Are these your merch?
Thanks Jamie. The shirt in this video is not mine, but I do have two different style shirts for sale in the description of the videos and working on a third design at the moment!
I am surprised you didnt make the fences with just one Pillar on each and have magnet where the wall would connect to the pillar beside it to give it a more continuous look. Even put a magnet on each side of the pillar so you can have it go 90 degrees in either way. Might of saved you some time since its less pillars to make.
You could definitely do that, but to have the "iron" part of the fence touch and have it look continuous would make it so that the 90 degree section wouldn't work. There would be a gap at that point, so I figured I'd go this route. Good idea though Cloud.
What brand of XPS foam do you use? I have a heck of a time getting the engraving into the foam to stay and when carving and the texture rollers are almost worthless because it bounces back. I am wondering if I need to get a different brand of foam.
It's not really the brand, but I use Owens mostly. XPS really does like to bounce back. You have to sometimes "over" texture. I find that applying your mod podge right after and letting it cure can help with some definition. Reducing the time the foam has to react. When I use rollers I sometimes go back and use a pen or hot wire knife to define certain lines.
So far yes, I was informed that more should be in on Tuesday. MiniatureCrush did say they had the same fence but in white in stock. That would be perfectly fine to use as the fence gets painted anyway.
Alright, just gonna throw it out there: anyone from the EU (preferably the Netherlands) know where I can get some XPS foam for a decent price? All I can find is like €50 for a single slab of the stuff, and I would like to try working with the stuff.
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT THAT is actually what I was looking for! Didn't know that stuff existed. Seems to be like a kind of XPS foam, actually. And very affordably available around the corner from where I work, too! Thanks for that!
Hi Michael. I'm from the Netherlands. It depends on what you want. Raab Karcher has the BASF Styrodur that you see used by Gerard Boom from Shiftinglands a lot. They have some stores around the Netherlands. Careful with what kind of Styrodur you buy. There are harder and softer kinds and you definitely want the hardest you can get. Personally I like "van Beek" for foamboard. Search on their site for foamboard zonder papieren deklaag (foamboard without paper) . You get a package of 15 slabs of 100 x 70 x 1 cm for about 30 Euro. It lasts you a long time. In a case like this build, I mix the two materials and use as much of the foamboard I can as that is even harder than the styrodur and keeps textures and indentations even better.
@@KylaraKuhn thanks for the tips! I was looking for a cheaper supplier for foamboard than I have now, so I'll definitely check them out. I think I have found some styrodur, but I'll make sure to check the hardness before I buy some next week. Really looking forward to using some foam with the stuff I can make with my 3d printer!
