Not to far from where we live is a beautiful secluded private beach that I have called my private beach. I like to go and just relax and listen to the birds and the waves crash onto the beach.

People who worry about how others spend their own money are worrying about the wrong thing. There should be no problem feeding anyone that is hungry, be it family or foe.
Brian, Lot indeed has a a great channel, too, (Lots Diary Adventures In The Philippines) and, hopefully, she will be gaining many new subscribers too. You two are both off to a great new life and "thank you" for bringing us all along for your adventurous journey. Best.

Phil bro I see you fresher every day. My man this is how I used to live in the Seychelles, now with modernisation it is more modern in some places as we have high end tourism and the infrastructure is more modern. I dream to live like that as it reminds me of my childhood in the eighties. Your choice of life concerns you and as long you feel comfortable with it you have no worries to clear any body's mind as long as Lot takes good care of you and the entire family welcomes you as theirs. I would have no problem with that as I am an islander and I want to live like this raw.

You're living the life, Philly! What a scenery! This would be the dream permanenet vacation spot! I can see myself going out to fish out there every single day. FIsh, snorkle, just motorboating around doing nothing but taking in the beauty of it all. ANd it's a fucking jungle, you got bananas, papayas, and all kinds of fruits for snacks!
Coconuts too. I would be out there fishing everyday, digging for clams, exploring😂❤

It’s always high stress to build or remodel. Moving adds more. It will all be worth it when you are done. Even with all that going on, I can hear tell you are less stressed than before. Looking forward to more of the process and life in the province.

Coconut tree makes coconut fruit covered by green skin. Removing brown husk reveal brown shell. Inside is white meat with clear coconut water in middle. Coconut milk comes from meat.
starlink is a real game changer high speed internet in these remote areas. thought about getting an ATV/quad bike and maybe a jetski or dinghy with outboard motor or something?

I don't understand why someone people have an issue with you helping these people if you can. You are not supporting their drug habits. As long as you are happy and they are nice to you, who cares.
Most Expats are cool with anything. Just retire and live how you want. Most Sexpats have a narrow mindset.

It's an entirely different lifestyle over there, especially where you live. It's a laid back, self sufficient lifestyle where you live day to day, work a little, then eat, maybe party, and kick back. It's not a 40 hour work week like here in the states where you must work to survive. They also don't seem to want things, and are just happy subsisting with what they have. No dreams of having the latest tv, or a Ferrari here! Living the life you two, I'm jealous! 👍✌🗽

Again, another beautiful part of Siargao that I've seen just for the first time, coming from your channel that's not really a travel channel, ever since I started binge watching Philippines travel vlogs about 8 years ago.
One nice thing about living there is the beaches and when it cools down like in November, December you and the family can go to the beach and have like a BBQ or picnic that might fun too, you can swim and listen to music and talk and just enjoy the day, I'm from California and I love going to the beach 😊

Very nice private beach. Could spend a lot of time there. I would add a little cabana with a lounge chair, some tikki torches and nippa hut bar serving margaritas, pina coladas and mai tais, boy that would be like heaven🤗

"Watch out for the lizards and snakes"...hmmm...sounds like Washington D.C. except for the lizards and snakes on the island are not as dangerous as the ones in D.C. Hahaha. I followed you for over 6 years and Lot for about 6 months and me personally have lived in the Philippines for almost 6 years, married for 5. What you did is the best decision you've ever made. Why throw your money away renting in a shit hole like Angeles when you can live rent free in paradise. Yeah I'm sure you miss a few things but the positives must far out way the negatives.
Nice beach Enjoy, don't listen to the haters some people are just Jealous, Speaking of snakes just be careful when I lived in the province in Bicol I had several encounters with Black cobras , Just be aware check your bed before lying down, they have a habit of coming into the house at night looking for mice to eat , just back away slowly if you run into one, no different than dealing with water moccasins here in the states , good rule of thumb at night stomp your feet before entering the kitchen or bathroom and check behind the toilet

Yup, snakes don't actually ' hear' things( no ears). They have a very good sense to detect vibrations( as well as smell( tasting the air, with their tongues( that's what they are doing, when flicking their tongues!).
So when walking, through the jungle, they ' feel' your footsteps, through their bodies contact with the ground!
Trained as a zoologist 50 years ago and lived in Africa for a while ( lots of snakes !! Lol), now in the Philippines!
Would suggest to wear, rubber boots( Wellingtons), protects the skin from scratches and snake bite!.

You don't need to justify feeding the family it just shows you are a good man, that takes care of his family, never apologize for doing good deeds, you were always kind to the locals in Angeles City and you and your wife used to feed the bridge people which was very nice of you

Those drone shots are some of the best reasons to move....the lush green spaces are totally amazing. I guess being a runner, I would like to cut some running paths going up and down some of those hills...I think that would be totally awesome and that would be my morning coffee to run those trails each day.
