Been in FPV since 2016 and never bit on the 6s train. To be honest the 2 setups i fly have the same parts and havent had to do anything to them in 4 years!!. Granted i dont do any concrete flying but more or less just flying for fun being smooth with some acro slipt in. Im running both on a DYS Pro v2 FC and also have emax bullet 35amp led escs which never fry. I use to always want and try new electronics when something new came out until i was spending 2ay to much money for the purpose of what!?.... Didnt make sense so i just found stuff that had always been reliable and just stuck with it. I still enjoy buying new styles of props that come out because their cheap. My favorite prop of all time on 650gram and lighter builds is the DAL 5051c dagger props, at 2.8g plus or minus a gram they have so much responsiveness but with a higher pitch and a super thin blade you get a good all around prop. One caveat though....they randomly just explode out of nowhere which became a problem, so i would just retire a set after flying them for a certain amount of time. Long post of random info for whatever reason, but just stick with 4s because its not as hard on your electronics and batteries are cheaper 👍🏻.
6s is no bueno on a 3.5"...its too much chooch! I tried it with the grinderino and almost broke my mid plate 1st crash. It's been shelved since last summer/fall becuase I didn't have the 4s parts. Motors will be in soon and then I'll finally have a lil ripper! great video!
I’m with you on this. One, I love my F35. Two, I built mine for 6S after watching Bacon Ninja’s 3” 6S build from last year but have resorted to flying mine on 4S 95% of the time. I’ve tried 6S with this little guy but I just don’t like it as much as 4S. And like you said, if it’s not going to make me a better pilot but break more stuff in the process… I’ll stay where I’m happy and full sending it with less trouble. Nice video!
Thanks for watchin! And yeah.. 4s is just more fun. I wanted something that was terrifying to fly.. but I have a 4s 3 inch toothpick that weighs 120g for that 🤣
Such a sick rip in that bando man, and I hope you found your cam. I just recently started to get my feet wet with the bigger rigs on a grinderino build, and I can't imagine going any higher on the batteries, 4s is pricy enough for me, lol. I'm sure I'll try 6s at some point tho sick edit yo
I found the cam! Took me a while and started to panic that I wasn't going to! But I found it! And yes 6s is expensive!! Thanks! Trying to step my filming game up
What nah 6s lipo's you running? They look big, like 1500 or more big.... I have a Djinn 2.5 inch I run 6s and I have really good luck with 6s 650 mah lihv's to save weight. I get like 5min flight time, and I run it on BF 4.5 with the supafly tune and HGLRC 1404 2750 kv. It flies pretty incredible. Kinda wish it was a 3.5 inch cause it would be absolutely amazing if I could put a bigger prop on it... SICK RIP DAWG!!!!!
I had 850s and 1000s. I appreciate it man! I've seen a bunch of 3.5 and djinns on 6s. Which is why I wanted to try it. But the universe was against me 🤣🤣
@@xORLOCKx Yeah, I am all to familiar with that. I just spent the last three days battling VTX tables on a foxeer Extreme, didn't realize it was a V2 which is 72ch....🤦🏼♂️ Trials and tribulations of FPV... Got to love it though ..
I go through 6s a lot more cause I forget there's no sag. 540 6S is a good size my 380 6S are really small and less flight time. Bacon ninja flys a 3 inch with 6S
When you used the 6S pack did you set a motor output limit? Sounds like the motor burned out as it was too high a KV for 6S if they are 4S motors. Regardless I run 4S on my smaller quads and I never feel like I am lacking power.
I didn't the first time. But the second time I changed the ESC settings and limited the motors even though I was told it wasn't needed. They are 6s motors. I think the crash burnt it up honestly. Makes sense. But 4s is life 🤣

arty editing dude! fly what works!
Appreciate it man! I've just got used to 4s 🤷 love the feeling of it.
A whole bag full of tricks dude, I prefer 4S or 5S to 6 but yeah man like @genericfpv said fly what works 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I’m running my 3-3-.5inch builds on a 380 6s and prefer it to 4s although flight time is only around 4 mins

I do not have anything under 5” on 6s. Havnt really found the need honestly.
Just built mine , 4s. Rip. City

4S vs 6S batrai ...
what year am I in?
1842
I can see the struggle right off the bat. Stick with 4s
