The sound system in that place was magnificent. Plus, yes, I can confirm your legs never got tired on that incredible invention. If you ever sat on the dance floor you would feel the bass rush through you like an earthquake. It was amazing. Mr C is such a great guy. He was a pleasure to meet and talk to. I had many a great night there.
Thank you so much for so many memorable nights. Epic epic club that hit the nail right on the head. Still gutted it's gone but glad I got to share so many nights there
I remember the first time I went. There was an empty alleyway between two buildings with some trash bags and me and my friend were standing there wondering where the club was and thinking we'd been given the wrong address. Then "The End" flashed onto the wall at the end of the alleyway like the Batman signal, then disappeared again. Brilliant.
I can attest to everything he's said. I traveled to the UK in 2002 and was into DNB heavy at the time, especially what was coming out then. Just so happened I got a chance to See LTJ Bukem and M.C. Conrad (R.I.P.) at The End while I was out there. The Sound System was insane. I specifically remember an Entire Wall of Woofers and it sounding clear, the way it should sound. Bass, Mids and Treble were perfect, nothing overpowering. The club was clean and VERY well maintained. Great Experience and memory.
Just stumbled upon this video. I was lucky enough to have met Mr C backstage in a small festival, we ended up being invited to his trailer for wine session. Good times…
I remember the first techno club with nice air conditioning, no sweat dripping from ceiling. It was a revelation. Fave nights like Lauren Garnier, Gene Farris.
The End was without a doubt the best club in the UK (if not the world!): the best DJs, the Thunderridge soundsystem, the unique design with all the stainless steel walls and leather seats, the Juice Bar, the lady giving out free tea and coffee for the queue outside in the winter and the people who used to go there: I made so many friends, even met my now husband there. ♥ I'd say that connecting the AKA was a mistake, that's when we stopped going as the 'Lounge' lost its atmosphere because of the through traffic. (1999-2001)
ram records nights. walking down road seeing logo projected on car park. respectful bouncers top staff best sound ever and sofa's xx best club ever xx ☮️ respect xx
It hosted Progression Sessions monthly with Bukem & Conrad for a few years and that’s why I went, although there were other nights that I really enjoyed. Brilliant venue - just another shame that we only get to talk about it retrospectively.
yo. I was working there around 2001 (or 2002?). Best of times. I had pleasure to see Friday ruoghness of DB nights of RAM crew. Andy C played once and people were going bonkers. LTJ Bukem had Progression sesions... On Saturdays Derrick Carter, Mr C, Richie Hawtin, Trash on Mondays. And they paid me for being there., Ok shit money but still somthing for a young Polish guy with big love for clubbing :)
One slight inaccuracy - after Mr C's time it did indeed become The Den, however, the venue was divided into 2 parts - The Den took aprox 1/3 of the venue, the rest (including upstairs) became Jetblack. It was a completely different type of venue than The End. Whilst it never reached the same iconicly popular venue it had been, it was still successful and only shut down due to Crossrail taking over the site
True story my friend and I one Sunday night after taking lsd we decided to go to the End but we never found the club (we knew where it was perfectly well) but we were too high to find it. so after hours in the streets like zombie we took a cab straight to Fabric club, , convinced that the End had moved from place what's a night 😆😆😆🤣
Fooking great place, get to see Garnier & Mills (on 3 decks!) without all the snotty attitude of "super"clubs, Layo & Bushwacka were very funny lads & occasionally while 'avin it you'd turn to see Mr C & friends on the dancefloor, top bloke & those bass bins, well..... missed.
So did they get the 8 years worth of cash from the new landlord? Hope so. The End was a fantastic club. Brought the warehouse parties which I was involved in into a good safe environment. Happy days
Don't think the act Fatboy Slim broke out famous because of that place, Norman Cook formed it when The Housemartins broke up so he was a well known name anyway!

I met Mr. C one evening in London outside a chipper. A lovely man, we had a great chat. I was a fan, he was Mr. C and it was a lovely moment.
Without a doubt one of the best clubs and best sound systems in London. Legendary
spenco1979 totally!!!!
The far dancefloor next to the speakers. Amazing times

So, so many clubs have gone

Please bring the end back! Best D&B night ever. Skibadee and hype were always banging.
The End was awesome, Mr C a lovely, lovely chap... They deserved all the success they had.
This was the best club I've ever been to. Great memories.

What was Mr C like?
Respect to the end and Mr C had a lot of great nights there
The best explanation on how to build your own night club TOPS .
Just stumbled upon this video. I was lucky enough to have met Mr C backstage in a small festival, we ended up being invited to his trailer for wine session. Good times…
MrC i listen you in The End Party with The Flame Rec. In Bari in 2004 in NAUTILUS ET CLOROPHILLA Disco !!! I love your music!!!!
Proud to say I played there.
Great times here at Riot! on a Sunday afternoon back in the early 00’s...miss those days now!!! Thanks Mr C for building one my favorite clubs...Rich
Without doubt, best sound system I've ever come across.
I remember the first techno club with nice air conditioning, no sweat dripping from ceiling. It was a revelation. Fave nights like Lauren Garnier, Gene Farris.
I was at the main closing. I can confirm, it was magical!
I've been to this nightclub back in the early 2000's what a night! Drum and bass Micky Finn. The End will missed
Used to go there all the time it was a fantastic place

Was that the world famous "drill and hammer" night?
Went to loads of Ram nights from 99 -02
Andy C smashed it every single time
Sad you sold out!!
It hosted Progression Sessions monthly with Bukem & Conrad for a few years and that’s why I went, although there were other nights that I really enjoyed. Brilliant venue - just another shame that we only get to talk about it retrospectively.
I so sven vhat in 2002 cocoon very good tanks for yuo in put tru the heres mr c

We ran a monthly Wednesday night hiphop club for 3 years there. The Hop. Best sound system. Good times.
Good sound in there
Mr. C - Legend!
This club was the best in London for pure enjoyment, Fabric was and is a better venue, but the atmosphere was so relaxed in The End.
Mr C seems really cool!
His sister use to cut my hair so was always guest listed. Ace club
She must have had the easiest job in England. #3 all over.

His voice though… every word he says sounds like “there’s a guy in the place” lush
Is that a melted USB stick around his neck? I wonder what's on it.
