Absolutely brilliant, I feel blessed to of been a part of this in those early days. Big thanks to the DJ's promoters and the crowds, one love x R.I.P Andy x
I grew up in nearby Marlow - admittedly I was a child during all this, having been born in 1985. But I love that it was nearby and have been absolutely committed to electronic music in one way or another - work and play since I was a child. Love it! X
Its weird watching this knowing that i was part of this whole journey. It was amazing times and like Phil said l am friends with so many of those people i shared the experience with. X
This really re-awakened a lot of fond memories of the "summer of love" days from 88 to the early 90s. Down the Zap Club in Brighton, where I'm from, DJ Andy Crock among many many others. Like Berkshire, Brighton became a hub of creativity, music and partying. Great days!
Re shutting down / closing night.. Shout out to the muppet who threw the fire extinguishers over the bridge after decorating garage forecourt lol looked like santas grotto next morning.
Every time I watch this it takes me back to a place which will NEVER be forgotten ( absolutely wicked days 😀embedded in my mind😀) loved it ! Full circle/queens/valbonnes/swan/ lord nelson/ 5th Avenue/ old trout / and all on my doorstep 😀😀 BLISS 🕺🏻
Great times, a lot of old familiar faces from flying, clive, Ali, Rocky, Chester etc. and of course Fiona from SOTT nice seeing the weekender video all the way through
If we are to dance again remember nothing ever came from bowing down and obeying the rules and regulations that are put in place now.. Soul, disco, punk and rave came from breaking the rules..
Used to sit on the balcony overlooking the Thames while the sun came up many a weekend! The club on the queens reservoir was also a thumper and great vibe. Bensons was intimate but my first venture into Chicago house! We were spoilt with decent venues back then and London DJs who wanted to play their sets . Still live here now and often mooch around monkey island ❤
Wonderful. I discovered the scene in 91. Happiest times. But I agree with a lot of the comments here.... Could you provide a track list of the tunes played? Some beauties! ♥ 🎶 💊
Most of this period I had already moved to Swindon to study (ie DJ and organise parties). When back in sleepy Crowthorne I worked in a record shop. Went to raves and a few times Shave Yer Tongue and Full circle. Ironic as my older sisters started clubbing at Simpsons in Bracknell, I forget the original name….
Nice idea for the documentary but, to me, the interview clips were incongruous with the slideshows of still images, which in turn were also incongruous with the narrator's myopic, wannabe-zazzy music press one-liners. The latter was, actually, shallow and cringeworthy.
Middlesbrough, club Havana. Never gets it's dues but I've been to all the "cool clubs" and the Havana was the bollocks. The southern soul boys got too snotty but the north.. none of that boys own elitist stuff.

2nd summer of love, our generations Woodstock
We were late to the party in Newcastle but it captures something that spread across the country, many records were discovered & friends made.
This is great! I used to love Flying
The same Mattie
Had some great Sundays with some great and fun people, not forgetting when the clubs went to Ibiza.

Decent watch but just a note that Aberdeen, Glasgow, Motherwell...were doin stuff from 86 onwards
Nice idea for the documentary but, to me, the interview clips were incongruous with the slideshows of still images, which in turn were also incongruous with the narrator's myopic, wannabe-zazzy music press one-liners. The latter was, actually, shallow and cringeworthy.
