Best London club of its time
The End was for the duration of it's existence the best club in London. The best sound, the best crowd and the best music. When Fabric opened it took a few of the nights, but couldn't replicate the atmosphere. I have so many amazing memories. From my first time seeing Fatboy Slim in 1997 to becoming a member in 1998 and attending Ram, True Playaz etc. The security were friendly yet firm, the staff always welcoming. The water fountain was incredible. Such a small and simple addition to a nightclub but it was such a huge selling point of the whole thing. It really felt like a place made by clubbers, for clubbers. Amazing times and this video brought it all back.
Mr.C was a punter from the get-go, before all the follow on stuff, he knew what the punters needed at the time and he delivered.
I travelled across from Ireland a few times with my trip based around a night at the End. I escaped lol....from Ibiza in a bit of a psychosis only to end up going to the the end where Circo Loco was on. That was some end to my craziest bender.
OMG you unlocked a memory there - the water-fountain! Agree with you 100%. It was so much about the clubbers and the vibe on the dance floor. We were like a small family. Never had a bad night there. Sad I only enjoyed it for 2 years, many weekends in a row, before they closed. It was a seminal part of my music-discovery and raving journey. Will cherish those memories forever
A bouncer in the end caught me with a pill & told me to be more discrete, he allowed me to keep it so full respect to him. I Went on to have the most amazing night ever. Good venue
Best London drum and bass venue in the 90s. Spent many memorable all nighters there.
Coming from Oxford. Got the bus down on a Saturday night 96 -97 for the all nighters. Amazing nights. Always the far dance floor next to the speakers. Got the 7am bus home. Amazing memories
So many nights of my life spent in The End... so many memories and friendships made... so many experiences.... mostly out of body, so many relationships formed... you all made this possible, thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤

Awe! Glad you enjoyed them! I was a bar supervisor from 98-00 and I remember one of his 8 hour marathons and it was epic !
Twice a week from 2006 to 2009, still got the 2 cards, black and silver and black and pink, aka/the end. Great memory, this is clubbing history, and I'm proud that in a way I'm part of it ❤️
So glad I spend my late 20’s clubbing there. Epic night club! SubTerrain night was the best techno night in London in the late 90’s.
Last time I went was 2 Aug 2008. Layo and Bushwacka, Deep and Will Saul. It was rocking but stayed upstairs alot as downstairs was absolutely melting. Met the infamous Mr C in the smoking area who spent 20 minutes listening to my shite. ( for this I apologise mate).
Moved abroad shortly after and was gutted when I heard it closed a year or so later. One of the best🤣👍🙏

The most amazing club, the most amazing vibe and so glad that i got to experience it all !! Heading to the End on a Friday night, walking down the stairs, hearing the b lines, big smile on my face, knowing that for the next 6 / 7 hours i was going to totally lose myself in the music and have yet another memorable night. Boy i miss it !! Thanks to all of these guys for bringing us the most amazing club, there will never be another like The End !
Literally couldn’t of said it better. I still have my wrist band for the final party there. Without a doubt the best club in the world for the pure music experience
Partying in The End was good occasion to see from very close the dj's skills of Sven Väth two times in 2007 and 2008. Some sounds from that time still in my mind till today.

Some very fond memories came flooding back.
So happy to see Liam and Ty here, was wondering where those two are after the closure. They looked after us so well created an ethical and safe place to club and work every single night. Every characters and dramas are my greatest memories of all time, kept together with a blue Daniel Pool jumpsuits & a Puma T. If this video contained Cyclone, sure will make me into a flashback of tears and laughters.
They both still work around hospitality in London!

Been a student promoter there when I was at uni and all my nights at The End are up there with my top London nights, I am still in London and I am still missing this place...
Never got to go to the End , but bumped a few DJ mixes in the car from there 😎

Yea remember that , was that west central st, I went to few garage,house nights , amazing place , vibe plus the dj's was talented at mixing only , not all was producers like today , you had not known djs in rooms from house. garage, dnb plus headliners , I think this vibe is lost today a bit

Why did it close? Been cycling past this place everyday going to work for 6 months, its just derelict!
usual reason, sold to developers. It briefly ran as another club/bar before that also shut.

Once, I took there something that made me hallucinate for 2 days. Other than that we had awesome parties in there!
Why is it closing?
It closed in 2009.
Awesome nightclub, in pretty much every way. But this short doc was underwhelming. 20 mins of "it was a great club", why? "The vibe man". Cmon, wasted opportunity, the system and dj box alone deserved 10 mins each

Interesting fact: right outside the end was the only place I was ever mugged in London. No regrets but interesting nevertheless. Kinda took me by surprised since the neighborhood is kinda posh.

Great nightclub, tho couldn't compete with Fabric... Good times tho, party scene was much much better before.
