I'll be honest. Art deserves to be featured on motherboard designs more then RGB. RGB is tacky when you put it on a motherboard but art isn't.

Thanks for video! I use Z790 Pro Art, and it's just beautiful and really great on IO. Z890 version ads a lot more, especially thunderbolt 5, and Thunderbolt Share support. That means I will have now at least one PC the Share license, and I can finally get rid of my 10Gbit lan card in my z690 NAS, and transfer files between them with thunderbolt and much faster, and have a spare pci 5 slot left. It's really appealing to upgrade from 14900k, and with ovecklock, Ultra 9 will be pretty fine, and more efficient as a bonus. Pretty sure with updates it will get a bit better.

Great review! I think one advantage this has over the AMD boards on the creator side is the inclusion of 10/2.5 ethernet, whereas on the AMD side I think they top out at 5g ethernet. Hopefully Intel's software will help out their latest chip's performance deficits--though its still a good chip for creators.

Compare its performance in Octane Benchmark, and VRAY with 192 GB RAM, RTX 4090 or 6000 ADA to M4 PRO with 128 GB RAM. Please use M.2 PCIE 5.0 for Z890. Also, if you have any chance to compare also Threadripper with 32 and 64 cores with 256 GB and 512 GB for pro rendering works and AI, such as Flux. I'd like to see if M4 really is any useful for that type of pro work

I know it's very niche topic, but Thunderbolt 5 supports 80GB per second and thus gives us the option for a faster egpu approach than using oculink witch almost non existent in the normal production line of pc and laptops.
I think for 3D intel really got a good start to even the score with AMD but i would still prefer to buy a 9950X because there is no replace for 16 performance cores rendering beast.
I really can't wait to see the next ProArt laptops with the 16 Cores CPU it's gonna be nothing short than amazing.
As always love your videos from editing, music, explanation, and entertainment.

And have been waiting for this new ProArt Z890 version ever since.
The specifications are hi-end. Not many retailers stocking it from a quick search. The only third-party seller on Amazon UK wants over £1,000 for one! Surely, it will be available for ~£500 to £550 like the Z790 before it?

Went with the Gigabyte X870E Master because I like the Z890 Master but why the hell is there no 10Gigabit Ethernet on the X870R and why are the specs lower I mean yeah the price was lower aswell but yeah there is less high end stuff I feel for AMD’s chipset. But at least I get 4 more PCIE 5.0 lanes than on intel which I really like. 2 x 4TB T705 Gen 5 drives and an RTX 5090 using X16 lanes of PCIE 5.0 yeaaah baby.

    Unfortunately, this is not it.
    - no debug display
    - no second 10gbe
    - insufficient amount of USB (comparing to competition)
    - outdated and cheap 16 phase power (with 80w stages, not 110)
    - DP IN only, no out
    - cheap and outdated audio
    - few NVME (strix-E has SEVEN)
The most complete AND inexpensive z890 this season is MSI ACE, it has everything:10gbe, "normal" power, premium codec, plenty of USB ports, debug display.

I saw a leak indicating that Intel is working on a griffin cove Core architecture to launch it in 2026 or 2027,
with E cores be removed and only hybrid cores are being used.
Also for 2025, Intel is working on CACHE memory for gaming, and for workstation CPUs,
firstly Intel will introduce higher cache in xeons, then they will be introducing it in consumer CPUs

I am curious, on the back of the MB, the connector end, which I suppose is the left side of the actual board, where all the connectivity is located, I am use to having jacks for audio which all seem to be gone on the newer boards.. why is that, are we now only using head phones, I mean I use head phones, but I also have a really nice set of speakers.. with a nice sub woofer and a control panel for adjusting the sound.. so what do we do now? Is there some Audio unit we are suppose to buy to connect to the Audio out or the SPDIF.. if that is what that is called.. I got three jacks which need to go into something for my speakers to work.. I see they still have it on the TUF board.. but it seems all other boards are without it, what is the deal? And how would I remedy it if I bought a board like this one, the Pro Art which does not have the connectivity on the back that I would need to plug in my 5.1 speaker system?
