Great vids and info! Alot of people keep those baby kings without knowing, I found another way to tell the difference other than the lateral line is the reflection that comes off of the belly the kings are more purplely
Perhaps try running a 20lb copolymer like izor line platinum..its cheap as dirt yet abrasion resistant as hell. Landed a 50lb king (chinook salmon) line wrapped around a cement bridge pilling and landed the fish.
You all prolly dont give a shit but does any of you know of a way to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot the login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Gannon Remington I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Honestly, every video I watch of yours I feel like I get withdraw symptoms. I start getting anxious, excited and the urge to fish sets in and I cannot think about anything else. The action you get is always amazing and the variety of fish you land is always educational. Ive picked up a ton of tips and new approaches. As a Florida Native of Ft Myers, Ive done a ton of fishing. Fresh and salt. But always looking for a lead that will land bigger and better catches. Thanks for the tips and the content.
Sebastian FL Realtor here just recently found your channel. Watched several of your surf fishing vids, but this one with the Spanish Mackeral and the Jacks looks like it was a ton of fun. Subscribing now !
Maila here from the Philippines. Its always nice to see not only videos but your comments as well, like being prepared, expect the unexpected that you can catch different types of fishes. Very nice and informative.
I was catching Spanish this afternoon at the Navarre Beach bridge too. The bait was holed up at the bridge and they were hammering them! I lost 2 spoons before I rigged some steel up lol.
Reppin PepsiCola. That’s awesome. Randomly came across this vid. Was wondering where you were fishing and then you said at the end. Navarre is my home. Keep up the vids my dude.
Is that a Fierce live liner? How do you like jigging with it? I just got one and so far have just been using it for free lining off the back of the boat.
Hard to imagine but I had a freshwater day out in the EverGlades today with Large Mouth, Peacocks, and Oscars. Just as soon as the minnow hit the water for hours. Mostly nice fish too.
Thanks for the species identification. In April we were slaying the Spanish in Johns Pass right above Saint Pete beach. Caught what I thought were two monster Spanish. But your lateral line explanation made me realize they were in fact baby kings.
I am one of your great fan, I liked your vlogs about fishing because i'd like to fish to. I hope someday I can have one of your rods. It's my pleasure to have one of it and I will take it as a sentiment value from my idol.
I just found your videos...even though I i lived here most my life ( minus my time in the army). I like you're style of letting most fishing go and just your mind set while fishing. I fish as a outlet for my ptsd it's calming even if I don't catch ANYTHING. I'm saving my pennies to get my self a boat ( dusky) to start fishing as much as i want, and till then..who knows...maybe I'll book a trip with you haha , you seem like a good guy with a good de minor ( yes i wake up at 5am everyday too!).
Can someone please help me. Are there only certain types of fish that hit lures in salt water? I have never been able to even get a bite on a lure that wasnt being trolled. I live in miami and here the fish seem immune to lures. They dont fall for them at all. Any help from experienced fisherman woulld be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
Asking you, the last paragraph of the Florida boating regulations state no stopping or anchoring to or under bridges. Do you ever have trouble with the FWC?
just got a 16 foot boat and learning to fish the icw in st lucie county not having any luck as im new to fishing at 79 y/o never too late any tips ok . thanks roy
I used shrimp, but ran out and then put on a jig and white twister tail. I could not keep the fish off, they literally ate the plastic while i was retrieving it. each twister tail lasted about 15 casts. it was way more effective than the shrimp. i like your video, I want to go down there fishing again. did you ever try jigs and twister tails and what was your experience?
Trying to teach my Uncle to have patience ! But he prefers lures . Myself am live bait . Don't know the lures for the salt fish? Would you help me out ?
This place has beautiful fish, Congratulations your fishing was amazing!
Hug!!!👍🎣😉
Great vids and info! Alot of people keep those baby kings without knowing, I found another way to tell the difference other than the lateral line is the reflection that comes off of the belly the kings are more purplely
Love the basic format of "catch and cook". Would like to see a cookbook of some of your favorite recipes! ??
Imagine that, a fishing channel where you actually catch fish. Good job!
Man that was a lot of fun, loved the video!
Perhaps try running a 20lb copolymer like izor line platinum..its cheap as dirt yet abrasion resistant as hell. Landed a 50lb king (chinook salmon) line wrapped around a cement bridge pilling and landed the fish.

If u go under the bridge going to the beach early in the morning or around 4:00 in the afternoon, theres a school of redfish on both sides
