i am a 23 year old guy from the philippines and the divine comedy has been one of the best discoveries in my life these past few years! heard foreverland album by chance and i just had to stan
"I've been a poet, a preacher, a fool, and a rake. And I don't regret a single take..." I'm madly in love with this line. Cheers from the states & thank you for the music.
00:07 That reminds me, in 2016 I went to Vienna and wanted to recreate the Fin de Siecle album cover, but I couldn't find the monument where the photo was shot (I was very close). I went again this year and found it, but now the monument was covered and protected because there was construction around it. I guess the third time will have to be the charm!
Such an underrated band. Every line of every song is crafted with purpose and some super catchy stuff like this, national expres and something for the weekend
It's been almost 30 years since I first saw Neil perform in Nancy (France) ... I still haven't found any musician I love more. His music will probably be playing when I'm on death bed if I have anything to say about it 😂
What a wonderful song. Brings tears of joy and speaks to the heart of anyone who’s lived a bit and survived it all. Absolutely agree - if I had to choose, I’d choose now too!
(Mark here) This beautiful new song has sent my spirit soaring, what a wonderful thing it is to write and perform songs of such wit, depth and assertation of being alive. Thank you Neil and please keep many more of these coming. Can't wait to see you in Ipswich!
Still got it after all these years. One of the greatest gigs i went to, seeing them live at the Royal Festival Hall with a full orchestra (a short album about love).
I'm out of words, i can't tell how i feel at the moment! An amazing song, music and lyrics as great as the clip itself with lots of little details and wonderful scenes! I'm in tears of joy, how beautiful work you all have done with this one, legendary masterpiece like the others! Thank you Neil and everyone who gave their time and effort on this project, it will be on loop everyday for months i'm sure! :)
Quite simply a masterpiece. So refreshing to hear some great new music and lyrics. This kicks most of today's tedious music into oblivion. Stumbled upon this on radio 2 where they always seem to add good new releases to their playlist , unlike many other radio stations.
I really love TDC. I found them a few years ago in a mexican radio and, in that moment, I didn't know that I was meeting something biggest. It's great to have them back
Without doubt the most entertaining front man within the last two decades ….. his song writing and live performances are timeless masterpieces…… if you haven’t seen TDC live then suggest you do …. Music with humour at its best and they have toured and entertained Europe in some fantastic venues…. Can’t wait to hear you soon …. Thanks for the memories so far
Neil always finds subjects to write and sing about which touch on our lives. This is an anthem for us all as we get older and look back on what we have done - good and bad, right and wrong. At the end of the day we can't regret our actions but just live with and lean from them. Sums it all up.
The ever brilliant Neil H proves he is still top of his game. A lovely trip for Divine Comedy followers as well with the video footage reminding us of the journey we have shared together over the years. Bravo
You've done it again Neil! Sweet, witty music for everyone's souls. THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC THESE PAST 3 DECADES & HERE'S TO MORE FUN FROM HEREON IN! BIG LOVE TO YOU & YOUR FAMILY.
I've thumbed the dog-eared pages of my paperback life Re-read confusing passages that never worked out right All the muddles and miscommunications that landed me here All the fights and late night conversations All the wasted tears Well I have made my fair share of mistakes I'm not an angel, but then again I'm no fake And I don't regret a single day They were the best mistakes I've ever made (The best mistakes I've ever made) I've tried to throw the past out I've tried to shed my skin (shed my skin) But the days go by so fast now I kind of like remembering The young man sitting at the station in a world of his own The new sound, the overnight sensation Flying so high that I couldn't let go Well I have made my fair share of mistakes I'm not an angel, but then again I'm no fake And I don't regret a single day They were the best mistakes I've ever made They were the best mistakes I've ever made I did my time on the merry-go-round And if I had to choose between then and now I'd choose now All the muddles and miscommunications that landed me here All the fights and late night conversations All the wasted tears Well I have made my fair share of mistakes I'm not an angel, but then again I'm no fake (wasted tears) And I don't regret a single day They were the best mistakes I've ever made Well I have made my fair share of mistakes I've been a poet, a preacher, a fool, and a rake And I don't regret a single day They were the best mistakes I've ever made (The best mistakes I've ever made) They were the best mistakes I've ever made 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Good song and looking forward to the album, can’t wait to have your Spanish Eurovision isolation song to play from an album rather than playing it through UA-cam, very funny and incredibly catchy and deserved a proper release, hoping for more like this 👍🏻
New material from Neil is always a pleasure for the lugholes. Great song and a career retrospective in 4½ minutes of wonderful video. Great work good sir.

Happy to discover The Divine Comedy about 14 years ago. Neil's music is never disappointing! It's also a kind of anti-depression therapy.😊🌿
Mayak-81 Totalement de votre avis. C’est une bouffée d’air pur🙂👍
Have to agree, they sound best on stage in my opinion.
I love Neil, one of the best lyricists around and great live and a great sense of humour.
Je pense que c'est un des meilleurs groupe de musique de son temps.
I think they are one of the best music band of their time.
Oui, tu as raison. Neil est super et formidable.

Love the Divine Comedy and love this song: "I choose now"-words to live and love by.

Neil has to be one of the most consistent performers ever, he still continues to be great even after all this time.
Brilliant! am I the only one who thought it would be Divine Comedy bloopers though?!! probably!!
Ohhhhhhhhhh that VOICE ❤❤❤❤❤

The young man sitting at the station in a world of his own
The new sound, the overnight sensation
Flying so high that I couldn't let go
Well I have made my fair share of mistakes
I'm not an angel, but then again I'm no fake
