      Thanks Dean! I would love to bring him on Full time but he’s a Foreman for a Excavation company right now and I can’t afford to pay him that kinda money at this point! But maybe someday good Lord willing!

    The deadmen should be connected to each other - instead of the short cross pieces, use long ones all the deadmen tie to and that gives much stronger backing.

    I question how long this will last ? Best to extend the base of the wall into the back fill which will provide stability and increase the base friction. This also prevents the back fill from overturning and collapsing or eroding the wall away. I have seen similar with he 4 x 4, however they builders first poured a footer of concrete 8" high x 16" width and then anchored the 4 x 4 into that base.

      I would say this will easily last 20-30 years. The rock and French drain keeps water diverted away from the wood
