    Nice video. I first thought it was Wirt County WV from VERY similar terrain. I didn't read the full title until halfway through then I realized that it was Doderidge.

    Many questions about the radar, so i am posting it >>>>>> 1st reason is to document my speed on video and the others coming towards me along with my gps unit, i have had crazy people call in false complaints against me in Louisiana where i vol. before and everyone believed them instead of me. Also documentation in any accident that may occur and that is purpose of video also. 2nd reason is a person that is in front of me may not be paying attn and not see me and if they just happen to have a radar detector then it goes off and they look behind them see my lights and let me pass safely, 3rd reason i used to do safety for trucking companies and clock trucks on hwys to make sure they were not speeding and driving unsafe. i was for a short time a reserve deputy sheriff and swat team medic in Louisiana and was trained in radar use. 4th reason we have very curvy blind spots in mountains in west virginia and the radar will pick up oncoming traffic most of the time and then i know to stay in my lane and to be prepared to stop quick if they come into my lane. i take safety very personally and feel its my best interest to not cause any harm going to help others in harm & another reason, i was on my way to visit my mom in myrtle beach sc, and i was traveling thru tubeville sc doing 35 mph in a 35 zone and my mom warned me about the crooked cops there giving out false speeding tickets to make money off people, well i was stopped and given a ticket for going 48 mph in a 35 mph zone when i was not and had no evidence to prove my case, now i have 3 things to prove my speed radar gps and video with embedded gps.

    I rode fire and rescue here in Wisconsin for 13 yrs. In WI you'd be getting some hefty fines for crossing the yellow lines and driving in the center of the road. You must keep yourself safe so you can help the other person.

      +Ricky WUVFD In Wisconsin and Illinois and Iowa, they do not consider POV's emergency vehicles. Regardless of how many lights you have on it. Department Chief's say that if you break the road rules responding, that the Department is not liable.My other question is, why don't you record pulling up on scene and if you've only been on the Dept a couple years, Why are you not responding to the station. Firefighters are not very effective without gear and equipment. which are on firetrucks....

    • @investigatorsf
      @investigatorsf  8 років тому +1

      i was on way home from work, and 2 others picked up the rescue, and on this video i had my old camera that does not loop record so it cut off before i got there, this was not a fire call, and your rules are different than wv rules so you saying i should follow your rules ?

      +Ricky WUVFD Been a volunteer for almost twenty years. I don't talk about peoples driving and i'm not trying to start anything but there was definitely a point at the start of your video that if i was riding with you i would have said something to ya. I've seen a whole lot worse, and i actually refused to ride with someone at one point in time. Other than that good vid.

    I live in eastern Kentucky. Your terrain is exactly the same as what I have here. I have heard some of the local chiefs radio their responding units to run lights and siren but not to drive faster than the poster speed limit. The road is just to dangerous to drive them fast.

      Yes we'll sure, lights get you there quicker, but you have to drive safe too, 😉 as you see I only went over speed limit when it was safe 😉

    what up with the, excuse me, crappy emergency lights setup? Emergency lights inside which aren't fitted directly to th windshield and light up the whole car inside? Why? I mean in the darkness and bad weather oncidions in general it gets a lot more dangerous as it gets harder to see the road outside ....
    All we need for our POVs is ONE LED beacon light on the roof, and maybe one dash light or two grill lights, that's all

      EnjoyFirefighting - International Emergency Response Videos hey ????? i actually moved the front window lights down to dash to reduce the glare, the flash guards dont block it all, but watching the video makes it worse than real life, i could see just fine, i am waiting on the new lights to come in and will take care of that, but really dude you can do what you want in your vehicle and i can do what i want in mine last thing i want is to hurt or kill someone because i did not have ENOUGH OR BRIGHT ENOUGH lights, you should really change your name to enjoybashingfirefighters

      +Ricky WUVFD So it is really helped for all firefighter at your place be looks same a christmas tree on every street? Okay, I see this at many north american videos. This mean in opposite that the other drivers on the street be too stupid to see you if you have a smaller warning concept. We here in Germany (and in Europa normally) use a small warning concept and it works normally good. At my other living places Kingdom of Thailand and Philippines works it fine too. Your idea with the radar is a good idea, here we use Black Boxes in our apparatus and goverment cars for can reply the last hours. Every german middle class and high class car have this inside, but you self shold it active manually. Works automatic after an accident.

    • @OldLordSpeedy
      @OldLordSpeedy 8 років тому

      Please, do not forget, he drives in the United States of America. This country go big with refugees how no other country likes more and the most of them do not pay attention if they drives cars or be pedistrian. So he must warn them all with a bunch of lights! All this is neccercery! Do not forget too, he drives faster as the normal speed limit at this place! So goes many U.S. people confused about the fast driving - I see this often in Germany, Kingdom of Thailand and in the Philippines! The last both countries have an maximal speed on streets but no one looks at this signs.

    I'm all for helping people when it's a emergency, but crossing the double yellow is a accident waiting to happen. You go over the double yellow means your driving is too fast. The double yellow means that all caution is for both directions. I thank you for your services but you are endangering other drivers that also have familys. Slow down we all live longer.
