Great video Mark! That is one jealousy inducing selection of shooters. So many I haven't played, but really hoping to find Batsugun and Cotton Boomerang for a good price. Played Radiant Silvergun for the first time in Blackpool and enjoyed it, Batsugun looks right up my street. I much prefer the vertical shooters.
Me too mate,vertical is the way to go. I prefer games like batsugun that you can just jump into over games like Radiant silvergun. Dodonpachi is the best of both worlds as you can play for survival or for points. Cheers for checking it out mate
Awesome top 20, looks like I have a few very nice looking games to look forward to in the future. Have a few on your list, but my Saturn collection is definitely one of my more underdeveloped systems, as much as I love it. But I have been shying away from some of the more expensive ones. Maybe I should go Gruss Newtons route and buy one every two months. I really want Batsugun, but interestingly enough that Twin Cobra 2 actually looks really good too. Those two followed by the Salamander Deluxe pack would be my next ones to get.
If i am correct the second song on this video is from Lords Of Thunder for SEGA CD. I agree with this list, the Shoot'em up is my favorite game genre and the best for Saturn are here, i am actually having a lot of fun with Strikers 1945 II, Sengoku Blaede and Sol Divide.

Cheers John. I was looking to by xmultiply for the psx due to it being half the price. I think image fight on the pce is quite a good port so I would only be buying it for xmultiply. Maybe if I am feeling flush one month I may treat myself :-)

J-Z28 Thanks for watching and commenting mate. The music is from Hyper duel and I believe is the first level song. A great soundtrack and worth downloading feom UA-cam. Some truly great games but as I'm sure you are aware, some horrendous prices. My top 3 picks would be Layer section, dodonpachi and Soukyogurentai. All 3 can be had for under 50bucks and are great games. Dodonpachi isn't the greatest conversion compared to the arcade but is still one of the greatest games ever made. Definitely worth investing in a arcade stick too for that authentic feeling. Unfortunately the virtua sticks can be quite expensive but well worth it. Hope this helps and let me know what games you end up going for 👍
Yes definitely some outrageous prices.. I can understand they are scarce and hard to come by but 400-700 dollars for Hyper duel is insane! I love how hyper duel looks and plays as well as the music but I don't know how I feel about shelling out 400-700 USD for a copy. How do you feel about Layer Section II? I will more than likely get a copy of Dodonpachi, and Soukyogurentai Otokuyo. I feel like if I wait for another year or so to pick up Hyper duel that it will just sky rocket.. not sure what you think about how the price may look a year from now on it? Also, I will definitely keep my out out for a deal on a Virtua stick, how do you feel about the mission stick? From what I'm guessing is it only for flight games like After Burner II? markhorsburgh I've not grabbed Shienryu yet due to having 3 other versions of it. I got Sengoku Blade years ago and it's now 3 times what I paid for it. Xmultiply and 3 Wonders have been low on my list for a while, they just never seem to pop-up for a decent price.
For future reference Mark turn your audio levels up mate had to put headphones on just to hear what you was saying, then I ofcourse needed a Scottish to English interpreter then someone who could convert this video into braille .. the struggles are real man! :P However solid top 20, some I own, some I've never played & some that are on my 'buy this fucking game' list. :)

hello man, i live in Brazil and my english might not be the best but i guess you could help me find out the name of a game shoot em up. so the game not happen in the air but on the ground, its a car or war tank or other vihicle that i cant remember; i think that one of them are green and the other yellow but i was a kid so my memory can be wrong about the colors; i played with a friend that i do not have contact anymore; so do you know any shoot em up games that is not a plane or a spaceship that you control? i know thar wasn´t from SNES, but can be anyother console... i played between 1994 and 2001; it´s all i can say!
Hello there. My best guess would be Firepower 2000. In the game you can play as a helicopter and a tank. Theres green and yellow ships too. It was called firepower 2000 on the snes and Megaswiv on the Megadrive. Hope this helps
Hebert Lopes Probably what you talking about is Guardian Force for the Saturn. Is tank the pick up the different color weapons and rotate horizontal & vertical depends of the stage.

Cheers mate. boomerang is a hard game to find for sure. Every copy I saw was well over 130. I got mine from future matt so got a deal. It is a great game and worth paying extra for it over cotton 2. The great thing about the Saturn is my whole top 10 could change on any day. They are that close :-D

first of all let's get the negative out the way .......I wanted this video to be longer !! :( haha I will probably get shot for this ( pun intended ) but ive never clicked with batsugun as much as everyone else has , it's a great shooter but it's just not grabbed me as much as others have on the system, ask me again in another year and it could be at the top but at the minute it wouldn't make top 5 ......there's obviously something wrong with me ;) haha are you not planning on getting image fight x multiply into the collection then mate ?
Haha 2min videos are usually all I need :-) That is funny about batsugun as most people say that about blastwind. It just goes to show there is not one perfect shooter. I really like the overpowered weapon in batsugun. Radiant silvergun is one game I don't rank as high as everyone else. Kingdom grandprix too. I just don't get that game. Perhaps I need to spend more time with it
