  • This is the third installment in a micro-series diving deep into my collection of minuscule synthesizers. Each episode will explore one little synth. There will be no talking, just music or noise, depending on the synth in question and your personal taste in sound.
(Sorry friends, this video is notably quieter. I've adjusted the volume of the next video to make it normal) Today we look at the collaborative effort of Teenage Engineering and Sonic Charge, the PO-32 Tonic. This little guy is only limited by the human imagination. This was the first pocket operator that offered the ability for the musician to change the sound palette. The Microtonic software, courtesy of Magnus Lidström, can output sounds to the PO, which allows the control many sound parameters with just one knob. The sounds you’re hearing are my patch called “4 Keys,” available for download straight to your PO-32 at aidanraebf.ban...
Let me know if there’s a particular synth you’d like to hear, and I’ll add it to the short list for future episodes.
