    This was very helpful for me in removing the blower, front bracket & drive shaft/shaft support bracket! Thanks for your time & trouble. :)

      Its always the little things that need to be done that make it easier - that the manuals JD provides don't always go into detail about, or explain well enough with pictures & illustrations.
      Glad it helped you - thank you for watching!

    Great video. Would love to see heaps more content of the 2025R. Particularly mowing.

      Thanks for watching Dan. Unfortunately I will not have any content on mowing - I don't use my 2025R for that purpose. I am not always home every week, and if I were to miss a week of mowing I would have a jungle when I got back - which then is even more work to clean up all the grass clippings when done. Soooo I have Landscaper do my weekly mowing ONLY, and I then enjoy taking care of the rest.

    Thank you for the great videos. I have the same set up. Had it delivered this past spring with mid mounted mower. Need to remove mower and install snowblower. Looking forward to your install video!

      Thank you. Just published the Snow Thrower Install yesterday - hope it helps in pointing out some of the details that is not really addressed in the JD Manuals that should be there. My experience came from that old school of the number of mistakes, and whooops one has had, giving you a lot of experience!

    I have the same 2025R and snowblower. With the lack of instructions it was difficult to figure out everything with the initial snowblower installation. Even figuring out where the hose brackets go... and how those thick triangle pieces attach etc. It was great to watch your video, pause and take note how everything mounted. Much appreciated since there is very little info on the 2025R.

      As I mentioned in the video I was frustrated as well at the lack of clarity in the equipment instruction & service manuals how to install the snowblower, and have it work properly. Glad it helped you - I will be doing an installation video in the fall to highlight even further somethings not so well described or illustrated in the manual.
      I don't know if I had mentioned this in the video, John Deere dealers are constantly receiving updated manuals, with clear descriptions and illustrations for their techs . . . I found this out when I was asking a lot of questions that I couldn't find answers for in the manual I had. The Service Manager let me look at them and it was how I final was able to figure out what needed to be done. I asked if I could buy one and he unfortunately said these are nor for customer distribution / sale.

    Can the entire unit be loaded on a trailer with a fold down gate ramp for transporting? Or is there not enough clearance?

    Good video, just bought the same setup. Will try this weekend hooking it all up. Do you know if the bucket assembly can be used with any of the snowblower pieces attached? Would be nice to not have to take it all apart to remove snow piles or whatever.
    Thanks am

      Just put mine on. The year 2020 has the wire on the side of the tractor mount now. Engineers must of have finally used their head or read complaints

      I hope you are enjoying your 2025R as much as I am. Interesting you mentioned the need to reattach your front loader & bucket when you have the Snow Thrower and all it mounts, PTO shaft attached for the winter. Unfortunately you can't, as you know. There is several clearance issues between the loader and the Snow Thrower front mounting bracket and PTO shaft mount.
      Believe me I have attempted it several times - its like trying to drive a square peg into a round hole - its just not going to fit. I have just conceded when I have the Snow Thrower attached/mounted for the winter - it stays that way until Spring.

    I have 3 acres of hilly bushland and have narrowed my search for a tractor down to about 5 options from different brands. I am most interested in the 1025r and 2025r curious why you upgraded to the 2025r, and how you find the stability difference (I am leaning toward the 2025r, but wondering the advantages are worth the extra dollars)

    • @m3entertainment228
      @m3entertainment228  4 роки тому +3

      I got my 1025R in 2017 - it did almost everything I asked of it - believe me it was a fantastic tractor. However I was getting into jobs where I begin to experience limitations - like just not having enough front loader lift capacity, (826lbs vs 1023lbs) and lift height (72" vs 78"). Ground clearance also became a growing issue, as well as the industrial tires I had on it really tore the lawn up when it was soft after a rain. When the redesigned 2025R was announced in 2019 it immediately caught my eye with having a higher ground clearance and a longer wheel base, its also 200+lbs heavier. It also had larger diameter tires, with a wider footprint that disperses weight better over the tread and onto the ground. The other new tire feature was the Radial Tire option that is a cross between the lawn tire, and the industrial tire.
      The 1025 & the 2025 share the same 25HP diesel - however the 2025R has a higher capacity/higher pressure hydraulic pump giving it more loader lift capacity, as well as added 3-point hitch lift capacity (681lbs vs 1,150lbs). That sold me and I traded my 1025 in for a 2025 in February 2019 - my local JD dealer also worked with me unbelievably in pricing it with all the options I wanted that included the Front Loader, Back Hoe, iMatch 3-point connection system, and a 54" Snow Thrower and with the Radial Tires.
      With all these options/features you are really only looking at a couple of thousand dollars difference - with a lot more capability with the 2025R. For the value the 2025R in my opinion has it going for it. However, I can understand if the budget has a limit, the 1025 will do everything you ask of it.
      Stability - I am still not totally happy - you need to be very careful on driving on grades sideways. A solution to increasing stability is adding rear wheel spacers - 6" on each side. Not a JD product, however offered by a number of qualified JD aftermarket suppliers. These can be added to the 1025 as well and helps.

    Nice machine. I'm looking into the same set-up myself. You mentioned that you're in northern NJ, so am I. What dealer did you work with?

    • @m3entertainment228
      @m3entertainment228  3 роки тому

      The John Deere dealer I have used for years is Power Place. They have 2 stores, the main one where they have the bulk of inventory of tractors and lawn equipment is in White House Station on RT22 west of the Bridgewater Mall. They just expanded it last fall and they have a lot of inventory, both indorrs and outdoors on hand to look at, kick the tires etc.
      They have another store in Rockaway on RT46, much smaller. They do have one 1025R most of the time on the showroom floor - occasionally a 2025R as well and maybe a Gator there - not a lot of room so very limited. While the White House Station store is a bit of a drive, well worth it with the inventory they have to see. White House Station is where they do all there service work and where they prep tractors for delivery/pick-up.
      It's a family run business and they have been doing it for years.
      There is another Dealer up in Rockland County, NY - that dealer is what they call and Agricultural Dealer that sells the biggest of the JD product line. So the 1025 & 2025 would be on the small end of tractors they carry - not sure what inventory the may have. Power Place is a JD intermediate product line dealer, with the 4 series of tractors being the largest they sell.

      @@m3entertainment228 Ok thanks. I got my 2520 TLB back in '08 from them (Rockaway) and met with their sales guy this past weekend about a 2025r TLB. Was originally looking at the 1025r TLB, but I'm probably gonna put this next machine to work (aside from myself), so now I'm leaning towards the 2025r TLB for the added capacities and capabilities.

    Do you have a video installing the blower?

    • @m3entertainment228
      @m3entertainment228  3 роки тому +1

      I am planning on re-installing the Snow Thrower in the next week or so and will do a video as I mount it. The only issue I have when I re-install the Snow Thrower it "paralyzes" the tractor from using it for firewood cutting/gathering, other yard work, etc. If you un-mount just the Blower itself, you can't mount the Front Loader with the forward mounting bracket for the Snow Thrower that supports the PTO - not enough clearance between the Loaders support stand and that forward Snow Thrower mounting bracket.
      So I try to hold off mounting the Snow Thrower as long as I can, until Mr. Weather Man says no-doubt we're going to get some accumulation. Sure, you can always just un-mount the Snow Thrower to reattach the Front Loader, and then re-mount it with what ever work that was needed is done - just a pain in the butt swapping everything on and off.

    Does the snowblower not lift high enough to fit on the dolly before disconnecting it?

    • @m3entertainment228
      @m3entertainment228  Рік тому

      I am sorry for the delay in responding - No, the Snow Thrower is not lifted high enough to get a dolly underneath it. The total lift height is something between 6-8" max. That's more than adequate when using it, and maneuvering around. Coincidentally the ground clearance is only 6" under the front support bracket where the hydraulic lift is mounted. Additionally when "lifted" its actually tilted back slightly, not a straight up and down lift. As you can see in the video this is why I use lift straps attached to my pallet forks to lift it on and off either a dolly, or the pallet I store the Snow Thrower on.

      @@m3entertainment228 no worries at all! I ended up getting the new front 3pt heavy duty version and it seems to lift up a bit higher…I can fit a furniture dolly under it when raised up so it’s pretty convenient 👍
