Here's a tip. I went to Harbor Freight and bought a few furniture mover's dollies, cheap, and dropped the weight box and pallet forks on them to easily move around the garage. I screwed 2 dollies together to move the rototiller around.
TIP: I own the 2020 model year 1025R with the redesigned implement attachments. This video needs a additional tip for the newer modes. If you look at the 1025R tractors serial number and see the letters “LL” or further way from the letter A, you have the new attachment system. This new system results in accessories for the John Deere models 1025R and 2025R being swappable. Okay, so if you have this new system, removing the snow blower drive shaft is not like what is shown in this video. Sadly, the new process is simply skipped in the tractor and snow blower manual. This tip I’m going to share with you will save you frustrations. I wasted time and was confused until I learn this critical step. To install or remove the snow blower drive shaft between the forward facing PTO and front quick-hitch on the redesigned 1025R tractors, you must first turn the tractors steeling wheel as far as you can to either side. Its that simple. Without this simple, but mandatory step, the drive shaft will not slide forward far enough to get on or off the forward facing mid PTO. With this tip, the impossible task and not obvious step becomes easy. I hope this tip helps someone avoid the frustration I experienced. No one told me about this step, the manual did not explain it, and Ive never seen it mentioned on the online forum.
Nicely done! You have nothing to apologize for re cam equipment, etc. I’ve downloaded this on May 1. It MIGHT be safe to take my blower off now here in northern WI... Don’t know if it’ll help, but you might consider holding the camera longer on the black on black shots. The lighting and contrast are such that it can be hard to see where 1 piece ends and another begins. Alternatively you could edit a still shot from your vid when you see a ‘sweet spot’ re focus, etc. Nice. Very sequential, good speaking tempo, good (enough) audio for this. You’ve inhabited the viewers perspective well. Thank you!
This was helpful. Do you have an Autoconnect mower deck? If so, can you do a video on how to reinstall the Autoconnect mechanism back on the tractor 's mid-PTO before you put the mower back on? Just bought my 1025R and need to do the reverse so I can take the mower and the Autoconnect mechanism off, before I install my 52" Broom on the front via the Front Quick-hitch (similar steps to what you have to do to install the snow blower). Would be a big help to see somebody walk through beforehand. Thanks!
Hi Mike - unfortunately I don't own the mower attachment so I cannot do that video for you. I actually don't recommend the mower but understand it makes sense for some people. I should have a video up soon of what I use instead for mowing. -Rick
Thanks for the video! I had a 1025r but just upgraded to the 2032r with the Curtis cab. We goto the same dealer!
Awesome!
I just took the snow blower off and re-installed the mower deck, thanks to your video. Thanks for posting this!
Finally, excellent video on how to remove, nice job!
Good job ! You helped a fellow 1025R owner

@@theyahd8039 No worries! I thought you mentioned getting ready for mowing in the video, so I just assumed you had a mower deck as well.
