Great video Dean although as much as I appreciate the technology I genuinely feel most people who seek these models out or maintain them and are hesitant to upgrade to newer models is because they like the feeling of a more analog experience sometimes the tech is over the top. Something about those iconic analog gauges I just can’t help but love and few they’re timeless. Great video again it’s nice to see companies are developing newer upgrades for these models and haven’t given up on em.

I would be a bit worried about the gongs not going off, sadly they have saved my ass a couple of times now between a water pump failure and a valve tronic motor failure. I’ll have to wait on it, maybe they will add nav to the cluster that would integrate with that factory nav or CarPlay . Still I will keep my eye on it for now, Thanks for the update.
You seemed to be very knowledgeable in bmw. I have an e92 I used this unit on it another issue that you did not mention is you can’t sink the clock with your head unit. In my case my microphone does not work ( not sure if that is related ) I have nbt evo adapted to my car not sure if coding needs to be done with mic. That is my question to you.

Hi again, I’ve had no end to an issue with high battery drain errors with this cluster. I’ve had to re install my original BMW cluster. I’ve had no drainage errors since. ID4Motion are yet to respond to my concerns. I’ve spent a lot of money on their cluster and they’re not very forthcoming responding which is highly frustrating again, given it’s over a thousand pounds including import duty!!
need your opinion in the us and want to buy a 2011 x5 97,000 ad states people attempted to steel the car. the problem is there are holes in his story he said he has owned the car since 2011 but car fax says other wise I know the car is his but what could he be hiding the dcm or ecu what ever its in this car was in the trunk all battery connections and the fuse box where cut out or missing. car looks clean but has been sitting for some time. long story short what are ways I can diagnose engine and trans without power and is this an why would some cut all the wires(including battery terminals) in the trunk.

Were you able to fix it? Had the same issue and I replaced the O rings that go on the injectors since it was leaking gas. Fixed issue and a semi easy diy

I have the ID4Motion cluster and it's fantastic however, the only drawback is that you cannot clear warning lights, for instance say you have an airbag light you have to re-connect the factory cluster to clear the warning light and then re-install the digital cluster, this is a huge oversight on their part but other than that there are no other issues. And yes, it does display the gear for automatics, including sport and manual mode.
I find the BMW E60 id4 motion screen is too small for the space. I don’t like the large plastic bezel required to take up the unused space of the original cluster. The led screen needs to be larger. I can only assume that costs had to be cut somewhere. IMHO, looks cheap to me. I wouldn’t buy it. Anyone agree with me?
I’m sorry I can’t help you with that, I did see your other comments and I don’t work on anybodys cars. I’m fully booked and have been for years before UA-cam. My garage is purely for me , friends and family cars that’s it which I have regular bookings all the time. I hope you get your issue fixed there is many garages around which you can locate on google.

When you say coding and inpa don’t work, what about functions like DCT pump flush or DSC pump brake functions?

But I dont use ista p for programming just troubleshooting. Still a no-go for me. I use other programs to program my e63

The Setting to change is call "Dim_Variant ". I don't know is using the Carly I can reach that setting. Please advise.
