No it's not. Jesus is not the messiah. The messiah is a military figure that would restore all the land to Israel. Jesus did neither. Lee got that one wrong.
Took my small group to the documentary last night and it was powerful! I lost the absolute LOVE OF MY LIFE in August 2021, my beloved husband, and I appreciate Lee's answer to the marriage in Heaven question! Whatever happens with marriage in Heaven, I know my husband, Howard, will be there to greet me!! God be praised!!
So sorry for your loss. I also lost my husband in December 2021. How do people who do not have the hope of Jesus survive this kind of grief? Knowing we have that reunion to look forward to is such a comfort! May God be a palpable presence in your life, Catherine.
@@itiswell77 My sincere condolences to You, I lost my husband of 45 yrs in Nov. 2021, I certainly agree with you regarding the unbearable grief if it weren't for Our Beloved Lord Jesus. It's so difficult Sharon. Much love
It was great to hear Lee! I hadn't heard him in a long time. Sean, you are one of the best interviewers I've ever seen/heard. I appreciate the level of research and preparation you do for all your interviews, and the respect you have for the other person is evident. I am learning so much from all your videos! Thank you so much!
I've been a Christian my whole life and never thought about what heaven will be like. I guess when I hit my 40's and lost a loved one I realized I had this vague idea of a perfect world/playing harps all the time. Then people talked about praising God for all eternity and I though - I don't want to be disrespectful, but signing hymns non stop for all eternity doesn't sound that great. But then maybe when I'm there that will literally be all I want to do - I can't know now. I've been able to get rid of the harps and clouds and am now at place where I believe that the new earth is like Eden - a place where God will live among His people and spend time with me. It breaks my brain trying to figure everything out, but I'm trying to become okay with not knowing, but trusting. God is Good, Holy and Perfect, and like Lee said, my brain can't comprehend heaven now. I do hope I'll be able to swim deep and or fly, but that's just me...
Eden is the perfect description. God made us for a place like Eden, and to Eden we will return. But this time without the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, and this time it will be the whole Earth. If you have trouble imagining that singing hymns and worshipping God all the time would be unpleasant though, I might suggest that you aren't where you should be, spiritually, yet. When saints gather and really love one another with the love of God, and when you love God in the same way, such things are not only pleasant and good, but in fact the most wonderful experiences one can have on earth. Because it's literally what we were made for. It's like a fish being placed back in water for the first time.
@@Draezeth the new Earth will be like Eden, but scripture says there will be a new Earth, and a new Heaven. Where we will be, in one or the other, or both, I do not know. Jesus will be our everything, husband father, king, friend, teacher! He already is! There will be no more marriage. Peace.
One of the things that absolutely grinds me gears is this idea that heaven is everything we want it to be... food, fellowship, even pets, EXCEPT for marriage! The thought that the relationship that means most of us on this earth is MISSING in heaven is too much for me. People use Matthew 22:30 where Jesus responds to a group of Sadducees who ask him a question about a woman who married 7 brothers to comply with Levirate marriage law, and Jesus proclaims that in heaven they "neither marry nor are given in marriage". They interpret that literally to mean we won't have relationships between men and women. I'm sorry, but I just don't accept that.
My question is: if you are in heaven and someone you love is in hell, can you possibly live in eternal happiness knowing that that person is being tortured for all time? That is why heaven does not exist. When you die, that's it.
I wish more of a majority of Christian’s would emphasize the facts that heaven is a complete blessing (obviously) but also a waiting place until we receive our new bodies and both the new heaven and earth are created.
I agree. I can't imagine God creating a bond so strong, pure and unconditional between a human and a pet on earth that relationship wouldn't continue in heaven. I believe Lee's right.
I believe we're married to Jesus, but we will know our wife's or husband's like family. But I really believe there's topics that are more relevant to these times. Love your books Mr. Stroble "Case for A Creator."
At 34:18, Strobel refers to Howard Storm as an example of an atheist who became a Christian after an NDE. However, Howard Storm, although a minister of a mainline denomination, is a follower of Swedenborg who was heretical and the grandfather of the New Thought movement. Storm promotes Swedenborg's views in at least 2 long interviews I listened to and blogged on.
I belive heaven will have so much more to offer than sin can . I mean its not enter hearts and minds what he has laid up for those who loves him. Sin cant compete
We define death differently than God. Death to us is no heartbeat, no brainwaves, etc. God doesn’t define death as that, i believe it’s what after what God defines as death the judgement comes. Great video!!! Sooo interesting
I just happened upon your UA-cam channel. I've been a Christian most of my life (ever since I can remember) but never really understood a lot of it. I just accepted Jesus through faith and didn't really worry about it that much. I have recently been doing a lot of praying because of Covid and all of the craziness in the world, and through that prayer, God has shown me many things about myself. I am just starting to understand and I appreciate you interviewing people like Lee. I plan to start an in depth Bible study so these interviews give me much to think about and research. Thank you again and keep up this good work.

Another good book by Lee Strobel? Great, I will have to look for it. I reread " The Case For Faith" again recently, great book. I read 2 others and loved them. Thanks Dr McDowell, great show, so many great guests.
Faith does not exist. Faith is knowing something is not true but believing it anyway. Faith is lying to yourself, and by extension, lying to others. Lying is against God's law. That is why faith is not a virtue.
That brought tears to my eyes because I lost my dad when I was16 and my mom when I was @20. I had no idea how stoic my mom had been until after she succumbed to cancer but am sure she is in heaven. I love my daughter soooo much but we have not had an easy relationship.

Thank you, brothers, for exhorting us to take Heaven and God seriously--because what makes Heaven heaven as brother Paul puts it is 'seeing Him face to face,' "then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known." (I Cor. 13:12) If heaven ain't Him, then be scared, scared to death, believer and non-believer!

In regards to animals in Heaven, in Psalm 36 David says “you preserve both man and beast” and I think this is a credible verse as it is an example of God’s righteousness. It does not seem right for God to separate a relationship between two of His creatures. Especially when one doesn’t have “free will” so to speak
A questions to your reply. What happened to all the animals other than the 2 of every species that weren’t on the Ark? If they went to heaven somehow then why not kill every living animal then after the flood just make them from scratch again like he already had done?
@@PaulWTaber-zd8ds two homoesexual people have the free will to stop rebelling against God. Animals don’t appear to have that ability. That example isn’t applicable to what I mentioned above.

I personally believe that a God who loves us enough to send our lord Jesus the Christ into this world as a perfect sacrifice would also allow us to have our furry friends in Heaven. I see no limitations to God’s love for us.
I watched this 2 years later. I recently lost my dog. I have had several dogs but he was special. I found God in him more often than in sermons from well accredited pastors. I found a new understanding of Christ threw him: how can something that knows no evil but just love die such an excruciating death so that I am revealed something about God? Miss you, Bobo. But there must be more to be study behind this question as for why believers would pass on eternity with God if that means their beloved pet wouldn't be with them while at the same time the same person is totally fine ( like I am) if a person they know rejects Jesus and as such won't be in Heaven with them.
Animals who suffer physically emotionally on this earth. I’m SURE God will show them what love and joy is in heaven. After all , He created everything with love. And animals do deserve it. So many suffer greatly on this earth. Koalas in wild fires for example. God cries with them. I’m sure of that. They suffer because of the fall of grace caused by Adam and Eve. They don’t deserve this fallen world we live in.

I appreciate that Strobel does not support Annihilationism so am thankful for that. But I have issues with his view of NDEs (near death experiences). The woman's so called "spirit" that supposedly left her body when she allegedly died and saw a tennis shoe does not mean anything as this could have been a hallucination due to lack of oxygen or it could have been demonic. Those who supposedly saw things when they were pronounced dead also could have had demonic experiences. Srobel does not say whether these people he refers to are Christians or not. Many unbelievers have OBEs and NDEs during which they "see" things that are verified later. So using this as evidence is very tricky and will backfire imo. Even if Christians claim to have these experiences, we do not really know what they are or how they come about. Actually, I've read that Hindus, Buddhists, and those from other religions "see" things from their religion.
Hallucinations would be ruled out if people can verify that there’s a shoe exactly as described on the roof immediately after the person is revived. Even if it was a demon showing them a shoe on the roof that would prove that there is something after death. I think it is important to address the argument that many atheists have that there’s nothing after death. Maybe to you it doesn’t mean anything because you already firmly believe that we’re more than physical material. But unfortunately a lot of people aren’t even sure of that. It gives me comfort and helps me to believe that we aren’t just physical material and that there is something after death. I agree we can’t assume all near death experiences are facts. But just knowing there is something after death proves that we aren’t just physical matter. Which is good news.
The word rapture does appear in the Bible. It appears in the exact same way that words like angel and apostle appear in the Bible. Τhe word rapture is simply the anglicized form of the Greek word ̔αρπαζω (harpazō) that appears in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 in the original text.
The initial time in heaven is going to be people reconciling with others (according to Scot McNight, with whom Lee Strobel agrees)? Why would we have the same family relationships in heaven if some have family not in heaven, and if marriage does not continue in heaven? I thought when one becomes a believer, he is adopted into God' family and our family are other believers.
I am in the same of faith of Mr Stroble (pastor), and almost every night I go up. And talk with The Gatekeeper about life and around it. Iam nobody and I like to stay that way.
Maybe people aren't drawn to heaven because there is such a love for the physical world. We are reminded of James 4:4 'You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.'
God created the physical world for us to enjoy and appreciate. Therefore the statement "friendship with the world means enmity against God" is an unmitigated nonsense going against God's intentions. Who the hell was James , and who was he calling adulterous people ? Let's not forget, God gave us sexual desire so that we would go and populate the planet. Then he is not going to turn 180 degrees and condemns us for a healthy roll in the hay? Never ending convoluted baloney after baloney,

Fantastic discussion. Regarding marriage, on earth one of the intents is we become “one flesh” in the eyes of God [Mark 10:8 and similar verses in the other Gospels]. Masculinity and femininity come together to make the whole, reflecting Christ. So to me, being that we’ll be Christ-like in heaven, there’s no need for marriage there. Granted, I agree with Lee’s comments regarding maybe it will be allowed. It’s very interesting to think about
I thought he had had some sort of health crisis, that resulted in a Super Natural experience of some sort, that helped validate and inspire his books, and like he said there’s no substitute for experience, but nonetheless I believe he was on target for most of his beliefs. Although I don’t agree entirely with his speculations on some of the things we can’t know for sure. For example, from some of the NDEs & ADEs I’ve listened too, they back my personal belief that some people will definitely be with they’re pets, and even those who aren’t, I firmly believe all that all animals will be eternally alive because they have Souls or a Spirit, whatever you want to call it, and most everything that had once lived has a form of Spirit, and is never annihilated. I also believe that in some or many situations, people are given the chance to respond to Christ, who had never the opportunity, or even change their minds. It doesn’t make sense to me that they wouldn’t, considering the unfathonable Mercy of God that never ends. And one more thing, yes we would have freedom of choice, but have no reason to even want to Sin, once the blindness from the disease of Sin is removed, and to see things for what they really are. For example, like most of us can relate too, in that it’s impossible for many of us to even understand the alluremeant of certain sins, such as Homosexuality and Pedophillia. Without the disease of Sin, it becomes an irrational behavior, that would seem impossible to desire or be tempted with.
Having a productive conversation about the reality of eternal life/death. A question that I ask a non-believer is to ask "just what if it's true" are you willing to take that chance in making a faith decision?
Someone in the chats said Science and Religion cannot coexists, but it can and does. Science is the study of physical laws governed by creation itself and the laws there in. Religion has more to do with who you are, and what yo are going to do with those laws, not do they or dont they exist. Science is nothing more than a large group of information and YOU choose what your are going to do with it as you learn new things but it does not negate who yu are or what the law is.
I really like Lee, but his interpretation of the marriage in heaven comments were a bit curious - given that the passage he sited is what happens if a woman was married 7 times and then dies - who will she be married to and then Jesus gives that answer…
Just thoroughly enjoy this. 🇨🇦❤️if I had a question or would like a comment, it would be about why Satan (angel) was given free will? Turning his back on God, thinking he was “all that and more” 🧐
I would say for the same reason we are created with free will: it’s not love or a relationship with your creator if it is forced on you. That’s not love. We are all given a choice

No need for song and dance when the you are presenting Truth. My question/s is/are: What do you mean by "irreversibly dead"...along this line: How do you explain "past lives", when we are appointed to die only once? Past lives as described in choosing the future Dalai Lamas by Tibetan monks, or in the book of case studies, "Many Lives, Many Masters" by Dr Brian Weiss? Thank you. There seems to be a sudden RISE of UA-cam videos about: 1. REINCARNATION and also 2. NEAR-DEATH Experiences (which are getting more bizarre and outlandish in their testimonies than when Raymond Moody wrote "Life After Life" in 1975, i think. see Christian Sundbergs testimony on Melissa's "Love Covered Life" UA-cam channel. Lots of stuff on Near-Death, Reincarnations and Universalism theology. Not Biblical. Here's some thoughts I want to share about reincarnation and speculation about existence in "the spiritworld" or afterlife. Reincarnation, eh? How do they know if that's true? Hebrews 9:27 is cited as passage against reincarnation. If people say: "Life is a school and we are here to learn" Reply: Learning is good. So-o, why not let us have Lifespans of say, 4000yrs and age much much slower? Think of all we could learn. Or, if they say: "You have to keep coming back to work out your Karma." Reply: but, the ULTIMATE Goal, is to get it all worked out and at last, BE with God (or, most re-incarnationists believe, MERGE or become One with him). IF we remembered our past lives, yes it might bum us out but at least we'd know where we screwed up. Then, we could work out karma FASTER. Then, we could get to God sooner. Since that's the ultimate goal anyway, but we don't remember, we seem to have a serious flaw in the system, here. Speaking of learning here on earth-- suppose that you become a great Chemist, Surgeon, Engineer, Telecommunications executive, discover advanced Farming techniques and help feed the world. So what?? Will we need surgeries in Heaven or the spirit world? Will we need Bridges? Houses? Drugs? or Protein bars/Tomatoes/Corn/Steaks? Blankets? An Alarm clock? Water? FM radios? Aspirin? Airplanes? No? So what good was learning? Are we supposed to learn "spiritual stuff" instead? Like what spiritual stuff? What for? How do they know even that? So, what good was Reincarnation? What will they say now? ...and now, for the addition/update, below. New thing #1. -When you finally get done reincarnating (i don't believe we do), and you get to Heaven, or Nirvana, Union with God,,,what is Heaven like? Is there pain? No. Sickness? No. Hmmmm. Let's expand that. What if besides no pain, there is also no physical pleasure, like sex? What if Life in "the Spirit World" is sorta like a pot of water on the stove at a very low simmer, barely warm enough to detect warmth, or tipid? Because, what if there isn't any FEELING in the spirit-world or Afterlife..no hunger, no feeling hot or cold, no tiredness....just a sort of eternal Neutralness? and maybe that is Hell and earthly Life is what is really desired and folks want to get out of their spirit-body as soon as they can so they can be physical and FEEL things? Even sometimes unpleasant things, rather than to have an eternity "being set at zero" or nothingness? I have no proof that any of that is the case. Just a wild idea. But that might explain "a reason for" coming back-- to keep getting more experiences. But again, i don't know that. and then-- new thing #2. - Suppose you make it to heaven. You've arrived! No Hell for you. "Well done, thy good and faithful servant!" But then-- how much "free time" will you, personally, have in Heaven? Or will you have a schedule of tasks that God assigns you? I dont know. Suppose he "rewards" you by letting you have your own new Planet to rule over and be God of that planet? Ughhhh...do you really want that? I don't. To babysit or even watch-over some new batch of sinners somewhere else and keep track of who is a sinner and who isnt and who will make it to Heaven (from there), or not? What if that job seems boring and tedious and you don't want it and would rather hang out at the cosmic spirit-Beach? What good is a spiritual reward if it isn't Joyful? So how much free time will you have? Do people in a spirit body ever need sleep? Imagine-- being "on" 24hrs. a day...no night-time (would you miss it?)...7 days without sleep...always daytime....never taking a nap......seems like we'd want more variety.....fascinating to consider. and why hasn't God the Father, himself, (not Jesus) ever taken physical form? Who knows? Maybe this can spur you on to making a new video. . . thanks for reading this. and now that you've made it through all that-- now there is some guy on YoiuTube by the name of Chris Date, who is "preaching" (making videos about) "Annihilationism". What now?
Re The free will to sin in heaven. We no longer have a body. Therefore we can't kill, get drunk, sleep around etc. We sin in this world to cover our pain. No more pain in Heaven. So no more sinning in Heaven.

Mr Strobel: I wouldn't use the argument (at 08:00) that colours are going to be different in heaven! Colours are the result of sunlight (what in lighting science is called daylight). The sunlight also contains all the visible colours which can be broken down by diffraction (eg, in a glass prism). It is therefore unlikely that colours will be different in heaven. It's an argument fraught with difficulty!
Yes that's true. But on Earth the source of light is the sun but in heaven the source of light is God himself so if God's light was to be broken down by diffraction the number of different colours would be unimaginable.

God will determine the amount and kind of punishment for each unbeliever who died. There's actually over 250 verses that I have read which I can conclude that there's an individual judgment for everyone, and the soul that sins shall surely die. After death and Hell gets thrown into the Lake of Fire, it's the second death. That's what it says in Revelation. As far as redemption after death, that's completely unbiblical. I've never read anything in the Bible about a second chance. When an unbeliever dies, they go to the part of Sheol where there's torment, and they stay there until the resurrection of the Dead, and after they're brought up from Sheol they stand before the Great White Throne for judgment, and then they are sent to the lake of Fire where God decides how much they should suffer before they are consumed.

People have seen manifestations of God through burning bushes and angels, but no one can see Him I’m essence and live, (Exodus 33:20) Hebrews 12:29 describes Him as a “Consuming Fire” I’m skeptical of any talk of seeing God or heaven. The scriptures don’t support it. Also, check out Luke 16:27-31 the rich man begged Abraham to send Lazarus to warn his family of hell, to which Abraham replied “they have Moses and the Prophets”
you forgot the rest of the verse in john 1: 18 that say's " who is at the father's side has made him known". People have seen god only if jesus allows it. It is obvious that God has been showing himself to human's in various way's for thousand's of years. thousand's of muslim's have been having vision's of jesus all over the world. It's not if people are seeing jesus, it's how they are seeing him. as you said, he uses angel's, a bush, fire, etc... It does say in the new testament that in heaven, we christian's will literally see him = 1 john 3:2 , revelation's 22:4 , 2 thessalonians 1:10
I agree the bible doesn't support it. I am heavily concerned about the rise of these NDE experiences just cropping up all over the internet to convince people in the middle of deconstructing their faith or other things. We should only ever look to the bible for Christianity, not experiences or encounters. How do you think a movement like NAR (New Apostolic Reformation) became so popular? People talking about trips to heaven is just as bad doctrine as teaching about NDEs it's all from the same wrong way to approaching Christianity. The message of Jesus Dying on the cross is enough.
If we spent half as much time on helping those in need as we did on war and defense we would not have to imagine a heaven for we would live in one. We need to get more grounded rather than engage in wishful thinking about an unproven afterlife.
Different people have different understandings of helping which makes what you propose impossible. Humanity uniting together (without the use of oppression) is a severe case of wishful thinking. Every other species behaves in a united disunity similar to our own and there's no reason to believe we're different in that regard. As long as we are bound by the flesh, no such unity is possible.
Lee Strobel is why I am a Christian today. The Case for Christ is life changing! 🙏🏻
It was complete shit. I pity you
Has it ever crossed your mind that he may be a huckster?
Much love

The afterlife violates the laws of physics. It cannot possibly exist.
All of that stuff violates the laws of physics. It cannot possibly exist.
"God" is" Love,"we love are pets.. I believe whole heartedly that animals "God," created will be there with us.
“For the living know they will die but the dead know not anything.” Ecclesiastes. Part of gods definition are that even your thought perish
Yes the marriage in earth is a shadow or forecast of something even better in heaven! So true!

Faith does not exist. Faith is knowing something is not true but believing it anyway. Faith is lying to yourself, and by extension, lying to others. Lying is against God's law. That is why faith is not a virtue.
I loved what you said about reconciliation with ppl in heaven. I have thought about that myself at times
That brought tears to my eyes because I lost my dad when I was16 and my mom when I was @20. I had no idea how stoic my mom had been until after she succumbed to cancer but am sure she is in heaven. I love my daughter soooo much but we have not had an easy relationship.
Mortality will put on immortality and corruption will put on incorruption, pertaining to will we have free will to sin in eternity, absolutely not, we will not sin any longer 🙌🙌🙌
25:00 Near Death Experience cases
34:20
Howard Storm, another amazing testimony, atheist has death experience is taken to hell, and comes back to his body and renounces it and becomes a pastor
Do you think all pastors will be in heaven?
Hello Les ! I read your book the case for the creator and loved it.
Look, nothing was created. The laws of physics state that energy cannot be created. And if everything needs a creator, then who created God?
In regards to animals in Heaven, in Psalm 36 David says “you preserve both man and beast” and I think this is a credible verse as it is an example of God’s righteousness. It does not seem right for God to separate a relationship between two of His creatures. Especially when one doesn’t have “free will” so to speak
A questions to your reply. What happened to all the animals other than the 2 of every species that weren’t on the Ark? If they went to heaven somehow then why not kill every living animal then after the flood just make them from scratch again like he already had done?
Also god created people. Some people are homosexual. But the Bible gives the impression he’s not to fond of the homosexual creatures he created…
@@PaulWTaber-zd8ds where does it say every species?
@@PaulWTaber-zd8ds two homoesexual people have the free will to stop rebelling against God. Animals don’t appear to have that ability. That example isn’t applicable to what I mentioned above.
@@PaulWTaber-zd8ds also the relationship between man and animal is ordained by God as man having dominion over all animals. Not the case with homosexuality
1 Corinthians 15:19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.
I personally believe that a God who loves us enough to send our lord Jesus the Christ into this world as a perfect sacrifice would also allow us to have our furry friends in Heaven. I see no limitations to God’s love for us.
I'm taking my pet boa constrictor with me...
Sean.... you have a new fan ...your channel is now in my arsenal to witness to friends I meet and have.
Thanks for doing this interview Sean. One technical note: Sean, your audio level is pretty low, Lee’s is very good.
Heaven will so much more to offer so much joy we will be H 15:44
I belive we will be so happy in heaven arter all the trials we had on earth we wont use our free will to sin .
I am perturbed by some people having had NDE, that come back with the message that we should not fear dead because all will be fine.
The whole NDE seems fringe/new age/mysticism/spiritualism to me. I will just keep reading my bible because there is no biblical evidence for it.
As you should be. Satan comes down with all signs and Lying wonders. Thats what I make of NDE
I so wholeheartedly agree with you❤️

I can tell you the reverse is also true, you get homesick even if your home is a so called primitive country.

The case is super strong!
Right on Larry.
He's not a pastor, he's a journalist/Christian writer. Not everyone who speak about Christianity are pastors

It’s very interesting to think about
I would look to fallen angels as evidence that there is Free Will in heaven.
Good interview! If I remember correctly Gary Habermas also says that NDEs are very similar in non Christians. Which is very interesting.
Eye has not seen nor ear has heard.....BUT...it is being revealed...
Any thoughts on the Kipp Davis documentary?
We’ve heard it ; it’s called Pascal’s wager.

This is such a thorough, sound, "legit" interview! Thank you Sean for asking such thought-provoking, clearly expressed questions, and thank you Dr. Strobel for answering them with eloquence and simplicity. No need for song and dance when the you are presenting Truth. My question/s is/are: What do you mean by "irreversibly dead"...along this line: How do you explain "past lives", when we are appointed to die only once? Great movie
There seems to be a sudden RISE of UA-cam videos about:
1. REINCARNATION and also
If people say:
"Life is a school and we are here to learn"
Reply: Learning is good. So-o, why not let us have Lifespans of say, 4000yrs and age much much slower? Think of all we could learn. Or, if they say: "You have to keep coming back to work out your Karma."
Reply: but, the ULTIMATE Goal, is to get it all worked out and at last, BE with God (or, most re-incarnationists believe, MERGE or become One with him).
But again, i don't know that. and then--
new thing #2. - Suppose you make it to heaven. You've arrived! No Hell for you. "Well done, thy good and faithful servant!" But then--
how much "free time" will you, personally, have in Heaven?
This is so unbiblical

Mr McDowell, what makes you categorize us Mormons along with non-Christians? Christ is our Savior and always has been.
your version of jesus is wrong. Jesus was never created, he has always existed. He is God, second person of the trinity. Also humans can never become gods. mormonism is a scam. look at joseph smith's life. He was very evil.
@@racerx4152 You're wrong on both points - but I can tell it's not worth arguing with you. At a time when we need Christians to come together to displace all this hatred, you're calling others evil.
Gotta say it! They're not irreversibly dead. They're just mostly dead. "To Blaaaave". Lol
When the Sadducees gave the story, Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother: likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh. And last of all the woman died also. Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.”
Jesus said to them you don’t know the scriptures, at the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage in heaven but we’ll be like the angels. Isn’t that a great example through scripture that we won’t be married to our spouse in heaven.
Can someone please tell me who the author is for the book - a mortal which Sean McDowell is referring to?
Immortal by Clay Jones
@@gsjanzen thank you!
Great video
Mr Strobel: I wouldn't use the argument (at 08:00) that colours are going to be different in heaven! Colours are the result of sunlight (what in lighting science is called daylight). The sunlight also contains all the visible colours which can be broken down by diffraction (eg, in a glass prism). It is therefore unlikely that colours will be different in heaven. It's an argument fraught with difficulty!
Yes that's true. But on Earth the source of light is the sun but in heaven the source of light is God himself so if God's light was to be broken down by diffraction the number of different colours would be unimaginable.
Color (as we see it) is a neurological illusion anyway, so perhaps new colors could be added on the side of the conscious observer.
@@carlb9602 What you've written is pure speculation and also technically incorrect!
@@esoptron3983 Colour perception is not a neurological illusion! The eye detects the three primary colours, from which every other colour can be derived! There can't be any other colours, because the whole spectrum of visible daylight is embedded within the light emitted by the sun! The whole issue raised by the author is pure speculation and can be deconstructed by a physicist! The point is why use a weak example that can be proved wrong easily and bring disrepute to Christianity?! The Bible has little to say about the subject and we must respect that!
@@Bullcutter The wavelengths of light are real and unchangeable, but how we perceive them within our conscious experience is subjective/malleable. That's why people with synesthesia (chromesthesia) can even see colors when receiving the auditory inputs of certain sounds.
Why are we still questioning God? Can’t we trust that absolutely anything HE has designed and created for us is perfect beyond belief?
I remain neutral. My mother said giving birth she popped out of her body and saw herself birds eye view. The only part that makes no sense to me is why do we have a brain if we can do all our thinking and awareness without it? I believe both brain and Spirit of men are needed for regular consciousness.
Because your brain controls more your body? Everything about your physical body?
@@dco8886 possibly, but it also takes in outside information through eyes ears nose mouth and touch which our mind uses. If people can see hear smell and all the rest without a brain, why do we need eyes ears nose and all the rest? It does not make sense to me, i believe both mind and brain are needed for consciousness.
The problem with reconciliation is once your dead, you cant reconcile with the living. I think its too late then.
the audio is awful and needs to be fixed. good video though.
Howard Storm is not a Christian although he is a minister in a church. I have listened to 2 very long interviews with him and he has very strange unbiblical beliefs about Jesus and heaven.
I've been to heaven and hell....an NDE at the age of 17 took care of that....all I can say is trust in Jesus and the holy spirit
....God allows for reincarnation until an individual is ready for heaven and hell....past live's are a reality.... imagine spending life time's having no concept of such thing's....ok....the Budda achieved nirvana but is he in heaven now?.... achieving nirvana doesn't matter.....and anointedness is not easy and nore will it ever be
...😂....😂....I reached nirvana one day!.... interesting experience....oh great program by the way....
Now let's apply your amazing journalist skills to quite different claims for the "heaven" as described in a thousand other religions.

If the Bible can be interpreted in so many different ways, what does that say about the Bible?
It says more about people than it says about God. God is perfect, humans are not.
That the Bible needs a magisterum, which both catholicism and orthodoxy have.
Sola scriptura and Solo scriptura were *not* doctrines for the first 1500 years of the church.
____________________________
The New Testament could still be used as historical source material.
@@hhstark8663 The bible doesn't need a magisterium, it just needs to be read and reread, prayed over and meditated on. It is God's Word and He is the interpreter.
@@hhstark8663 I agree that the Bible needs a central point of authority. Unfortunately, that can't be done with hundreds of denominations in Protestantism!
@@hhstark8663 On your second point: the fact that Sola Scriptures arrived 1500 years later, was due to the (Catholic) Church falling into corruption and misuse of power (I'm sure you already know this). It does not bestow any legitimacy to the C Church! Our Lord said that He will build His Church and the gates of hell cannot withstand it! The Reformation shocked the C Church and brought it to down to ground. It changed her ways and led to Vatican II, Sadly, the C Church failed to acknowledge Luther's position and instead tried to have him killed. Had the C Church agreed to the points raised by him, we wouldn't have this mess of schism today.
Also speaks with those beyond.
Only Jesus will appear The Lord Amen.
No marriage in heaven . You won’t even miss the marriage life.
Mark Twain wrote that sexual activity is arguably the greatest pleasure to be had on earth by humans, but there's never any mention of us enjoying it in Heaven. Maybe someone could explain that to me.
Religious people have demonized sexual activity for centuries. Is it any wonder that sex isn't included in their version of Heaven?
@@jaykerouac2 STDs, abortion, broken relationships, abuse, perversion, betrayal, etc have demonized sex.
@@livewireOrourke You don't understand, grasshopper....STDs, abortion etc are the results of primitive, immature creatures such as you dealing improperly with issues concerning sex, which God intended to be a beautiful act.
You and your ilk need to grow up, take responsibility and learn to think critically. You can't solve the problems you've created, at the same level you've created them.
Go away and come back when you've sufficiently evolved! lol
@@livewireOrourke After all that, you answered a question nobody asked. I know self-awareness isn't your strong suit, but try to stay with me briefly. The question was basically....why don't religious people like you include probably the greatest physical pleasure on earth in your Heaven?
Don't digress, answer the question....if you can.
@@gmann7082 Heaven to me would be enjoying sex without all the "STDs, abortion, broken relationships, abuse, perversion and betrayal." lol isn't it funny that none of the easily-led Bible thumpers ever thought of a Heaven without all the bullchit.
Martin Luther also believed that God is done with the Jews and was SEVERELY anti-semetic...

Sean & Lee, You just glazed over the 7 year old girl meeting Jesus!?
Many other near death accounts (adults) report the same thing, just skimming over meeting Jesus! (For those who claim to have encountered him.)
I don’t understand that.
Am I the only one who wants to know- what did he look like? What did he say to you? How did you respond to respond to him? WHAT WAS IT LIKE TO MEET GOD??
I’m sure it’s too awestruck and wonderful for words, but c’mon, you’re a journalist, dive into it & find us some words!
🤔
Is there something in the book? If so, that’d be a solid selling point.
Ty so much for an otherwise great interview! Fan of you both.
On the “near death” issue…How do you explain John 1:18 that says no man has seen God at any time.
People have seen manifestations of God through burning bushes and angels, but no one can see Him I’m essence and live, (Exodus 33:20)
Hebrews 12:29 describes Him as a “Consuming Fire”
I’m skeptical of any talk of seeing God or heaven.
