      @@AlvarezGuitarsOfficial I can't stop! I'm now the proud owner of an MGA77CEARSHB to go alongside my MFA and ABT60CE-8SHB. Truly well made workhorses. If I'm trying to find any issues at all, it would be in the tuning machines and the pickup system, but I've just upgraded the folk to the GraphTech Ratio tuners and will soon be ordering the LR Baggs Anthem as an upgrade from the Element on all 3 of my Alvarez. Once those small changes are made I don't think I'll ever need another acoustic (unless i end up buying a Yairi purely to feed my addiction)

    I spent an entire weekend going to my local guitar shops looking for a new acoustic several months ago with a budget of around $2000. I played all the usual suspects for high end guitars and I landed on the masterworks with walnut top. Not just because of the price. The tone, playability and looks absolutely blew me away. I play mine everyday! I became a huge Alvarez fan and Im picking up a vintage Yairi this weekend. Keep up the excellent work!

    These are some amazing guitars. I'm considering buying the MFA66CESHB. But I have one concern that I noticed from another Artist Elite model. Tight string spacing! Is it the same with these?

    I like the dark one, but so strange there’s no cedar. Cedar & walnut work together so well.

    The MFA is smaller than the MGA? What's the difference between the MGA70 and MGA77?

    • @jakevanravenswaay337
      @jakevanravenswaay337 7 місяців тому +1

      the 70 has a spruce top and the 77 has a walnut top

      and yes, The MFA is a folk size with a 24.71" scale length while the MGA is the larger grand auditorium size with a 25.5" scale

    The MFA70WCEARSHB has very unique, and for me, ideal Specs.
    I’ve owned this model for over a year and vouch for it especially when matched with round core strings.
    At some point in your playing career you may figure out the exact specs that suit you best. Considering Comfort Tone Looks Budget and playing style.
    I found it all in this masterwork elite. All solid OM sizing with a bit of extra body depth. Shorter 24.81 scale 1.75 nut, cutaway, superb top bracing providing wonderful bass response, dovetail neck join with rounded heel. A super comfortable V to C neck carve with more substance than Martin’s most popular mod low profile. The spruce/walnut wood combo fits right in the tonal pocket,
    Smoother than mahogany not as bright and zingy as rosewood. Simple reliable Baggs soundhole electronics. The extra bling I don’t need but is nice. Real abalone, ebony trim chamfered armrest. The finish is almost too good as well as shadow burst but heh, Price totally affordable mine was -$800 w/case.
    I would like to know more about the manufacturing facility in China. I do know they implement the design teams criteria very well. I was just about to order a custom build with these specs at over $4,000 when I found this Masterwork Elite. Thought I’d give it a try to verify spec choices for the custom. After getting this set up and favorite strings, I skipped the custom build. Having owned vintage and high end Martins and Santa Cruz I’ve learned I don’t like the “freak out factor” of worrying about them because they’re so delicate and pricey.They have more ego cache but don’t sound 5 or 6 times better.
    The MFA70WCEARSHB is an excellent all around guitar. Do yourself and guitar a favor and get a good Hardshell case. The included semi hard gig case is okay but a guitar this nice deserves a Hardshell for the long run.
    Good Luck
