I have the md60ebg and this demo (perhaps the mics?) do this instrument a serious injustice. The md60 is an absolute cannon, and punches so far out of its weight class its unbelievable. Take a look and listen to the great JP Cormier demonstrating his md60ebg vs his custom Clarence White D-28...$700 guitar vs $7000 guitar, and he prefers the sound of the Alvarez. Alvarez masterworks guitars are impossible to beat in their price range.
I'll check it out. I'm about to buy an Alvarez. I can't believe the price for the quality. the Martin equivalent with the same wood is 5 times the price, at least the OM model that I'm looking at is.
ive had one for 10 years. its made of quality materials, spruce top and indian rosewood sides and back. sounds just as good as a taylor or martin but the build quality isnt the same. the action needs to be adjusted constantly. killer tone tho
55 years of buyin, selling acoustic guitars. The spec. list on my MD350c is far and beyond anything Alverez has offered in the U.S. market as it was only sent to the U.K.. this China made jewel would cost alot of money if made in U.S.A. . Mine was made in 2007 it's just as rock solid and pristine now as it was new 11years ago. I have owned Japan made Yairi, Korean made Alvarez and U.S.A made acoustic's and i love my MD as much or more than any acoustic i have had
Totally agree mate, i purchased mine back when the crash came and got them cheaper. best deals i ever made as they sound fantastic, i found a Yairi for about £2.500 a couple of years ago in a music shop and mine sounded as good if not better, my brother borrowed my md60 and did not want to give it me back, when i did get it back he went out and got one, wouldn't play any other make after that. !!!
Randall , I found mine , MD350 in the States here . and yes it shits all over most other acoustics in its range and in all categories . it sounds great but it has began to improve soundwise .
@@earlspearl2933 spent a couple of years trying to find the MD350 could not find one for sale as this guitar had everything i was looking for in a acoustic....i had to jump when the MD350c came up for sale...did'nt want cut away and electronics...i could not stand the thought of why they would cut a whole in the side of this guitar...i would rather put my own electrics in myself...if i come across a nice MD350 l may have to have it also.
I'll disagree with you on that. I thought they sounded quite good. Sure the recording technique could be slightly better, but the quality still comes through. "Thin and tight"? not even close.
I play a Alvarez masterworks mfa66ce and I love it but the electronics suck in my opinion the piezo is super bright even buy normal standards I'll end up replacing it with a K&K setup but besides the electronics the first is great
I have the MF60OM and in person it should phenomenal! Very full tone!and the quality of the build is far superior of anything at that price or, in my opinion, up to 3 times that price.
I just purchased the Alvarez MF60 OM 4 months ago. Beautiful piece of art!
Just about the time I got mine. I love it!
Real good presentation. I like how you splice the two guitar recordings together to give a seamless comparison.
I have owned plenty of them over the years. I play my a
Alvarez’ more than my Martins and Taylor’s!

I have the MD60BGE and it is a balanced, well built guitar. Play one and you'll be impressed.
does yours have the fishman or LR Baggs PUP? do you know the Difference in their sounds?
I have this guitar, and i'm not shy playing with Martin D-28, Gibsons, Taylor...etc!
I'm not sure about Alvarez guitar made in China. Not very familiar. But Alvarez yairi guitar made in Japan are very good guitars.
Amazing sound at a reasonable price. Full and rich with a subtle chorus effect on every note.
Alverez great guitars for the money can't be beat great looking and play well up with some dear models of other brands
I wonder why these guitars don't get pushed more? They seem to sound good.
Low budget company.

Nice guitars
Thinkin about you, brill.
No one mentions neck width.
Maybe it is your recording technique but these guitars sound anything but "Rich and Powerful" They sound thin and tight. Not a fan.
@Matt·Dylan guess they didn't like our comments. they are gone.

If you're gonna demonstrate a bluegrass guitar, you should have a clue as to how to play some!
BUT, most people who buy this guitar probably woudn't know bluegrass if they fell over it !
Don't tell Tony Rice that I said that!
Quit complaining and enjoy the demo, jeezus.
@@musik102 amen that boy can PLAY!!!
He's working at the store. There may be a better player but is not good at doing videos. You might work at being a little more kind.
