Your opinions on the gods would be a thing i want to see. I know that most of them were at the start the Dawn War Pantheon of 4e, but i couldn't find much info on those versions of them on the internet, maybe because 4e was so unpopular. A video examining how they changed from back then would be very cool.
I don't think you should go into a deep exploration of the lore, but skim the surface maybe. Like, touch on what makes this world unique compared to Forgotten Realms or Eberron. I am an avid mythology fan so talking about the history (in breif) or structure of this world's pantheon would be appealing. I agree you probably don't want to go very deep for spoiler reasons but something along those lines would be cool.
@@NerdImmersion I think they added commands from the gods that can help them better understand the gods and that shapes the players (clerics and paladins) and the DM can use them; sorry for any bad english not my main language
I think you're right, which is tricky because this is what he was going to be. But also they built the tragedy into this background, so either would work
@@NerdImmersion It also suggests using a "cover" background to hide the Volstrucker Agent's true background. And if I remember correctly, Caleb did write a letter once and throw it into the fire...
@@ryansappfilm now that is an interesting idea. Having a "cover" background to your true background. It being more mechanical would be fun, I feel like.
@@Calisterei I could be wrong, and I can't remember exactly when. But I thought I remember him writing something and saying he crumpled it up and burned it, giving a nod to Matt and Matt saying, "Oh, OH! Okay." He also might have checked to see if there was anything on his person that wasn't there before. At the time I was a little confused at the actions, but after seeing the Volstrukker background it might have been something Liam was doing to see if Caleb was still "part of the network". I could also be remembering the scene wrong!
The Volstrucker perk could easily be a good Feat along with 1-2 sub-perks, or two perks and a +1 Dex, Wis, or Cha. The secondary perk could be the Code-Songs. The pages you send could usually be encoded in the form of a music sheet. And the codesongs themselves could be any song, but codesingers detect codes by noticing specific patterns of notes they use as they sing. Trained codesingers can pick out the right patterns, and piece together patterns to make songs on the fly to broadcast or deliver messages. This allows a lot of diverse options and keeps the network hidden, since it isn't so obvious as the same song being repeated for specific messages. *Kind of like a mix of Morse Code and Thieves Cant, except instead of just dots and dashes, you have all the classical notes available to you* .
Just so you’re aware, technically spoilers are in the book for those who are watching Campaign 2, mainly alignments and short summaries, but they can still be seen as spoilers. Some of them for example go into a bit of detail on Fjord’s warlock patron, some of the characters in the Cerberus Assembly, etc. Just saying, if you like scenes where “I don’t know if I should trust x character,” I say read the book when you’re caught up. There were no spoilers for me because I am caught up to the series, and I think the book is great and it does talk about lore and other things that the MN might not encounter that are pretty interesting. Again, for those who know what I’m talking about, the book explains what’s the connection between Fjord’s patron and those two other beings that were in those ruins. Trying to be vague, but I feel like those who are mostly caught up will get what I mean. Either way, just saying, spoilers are technically in it, but it’s still a book worth buying
I know commented on the last video explaining that I’ll be running a 1-20 and 13-20 party through a Wildemount campaign but these videos are just great and I am really enjoying them
Sounds like you got backgrounds for being involved with those groups. Remember that a lot of this material would've been written to be SRD friendly i.e. how they handled Vecna.
More lore would be great. I’ve watched both seasons and enjoy them. You’ll get more views/exposure (which your content deserves) and we’ll get more content we care about.
Hey is there any place where i could ask your opinion about ideas or concepts im making? Since im doing a setting for a campaign but i made cool new stuff for it
personally, I'd really like to see a video about the new magic items soon. I'm currently trying to homebrew an Artifact and I think those could be a good help. I'd get the book myself but both a lack of funds to purchase it and the Corona Virus Scare have kept me from getting it. I spent all my money on backing Stibbles Codex of Companions. Anyone here have any advice for making an Artifact Rapier for a Flamboyant Sword Bard?
@@NerdImmersion Good to know, can't wait to see it. The new stuff seems quite appealing to me. you have character ideas after reading about the new options in the book? I though of making a Time Travelling Wizard who's basically the Doctor as an NPC or re-flavoring the Echo Knight as a sort of ghost warrior. maybe even a Chronurgy Wizard who, after attempting the glimpse the whole universe all at one, every plane and alternate reality, sort of went crazy.
Yep. I like most of them and there are some I'd consider my favourites. Namely Ruin's Wake, Grovelthrash, The Hide of the Feral Guardian, Danoth's Goggles, and a couple others
This helped a lot concerning the Grinner background, I feel a lot more solid with my character now, So thanks for the great vid!!

I'll admit 4e isn't my strong suit, but I can do my best!

@@andreduarte2347 Ya they gave each god a set of commandments to follow so they're easier to use for both the DM and PCs.

Best channel for going over D&D Content.

Love me some sneaky justice bards. Perfect group for my main bard character :D
So a cooler version of the Harpers and a "good" version of the Zhentarim. 🤔
More like misguided Zhents to me

It sounds like a good Roadmap. Maybe a few bits of lore, like nations and geography
im dying for more lore on the Grinners
Would love to see a full character creation with the heroic chronicle stuff
I would like to see your opinions on the Demi gods/ powerful entities section.
Awesome I was waiting for this video. I'm playing a grinner this Saturday.
I’m very impatiently waiting for the magic item video. I’m practically foaming at the mouth
I'm surprised it's not out yet, seems to be at a much slower pace than the others for some reason
Did you watch them? 2 vids...
Matt Lynn yeah I did

for the adventurers cronicle i would like to see someone competent at writing backstories actually apply it to a character.
while letting dice do the deciding whenever aplicable.
I like to see the new the creation process
Sounds a little like a Harper-Copy and maybe a Zentharin . Oh, Well...
Coded message songs + secret squirrel society of good guys...Harperesque for sure.
Looking good
Can’t wait for the items
Dude we have the same floor tiles
Lol I am playing Mass Effect 3 while watching this video.

will you also cover the new monsters?
