I think we all know by now that Dodie's voice is beyond incredible, but the overwhelming most beautiful part of all of her originals are the expert lyrics. She pours her soul into those words and it projects into her singing. Everything is phenomenal, the writing, the chords, the execution, it all combines into perfect (harmony.)

Instead of, "IN DA CLOOB *insert catchy beat*" And I do love those. But one just has to admire great songwriting, don't they? Although, who knows, maybe that will be Dodie's next new score! And I bet she will make even that, beautiful. Cause she magic.

this is my absolute favorite song by dodie, and when I saw the new EP on spotify and discovered that this song was on there I literally accidentally hit my head in the wall, overwhelmed by excitement as I was. When I clicked play I heard some peculiar sounds, and thought to myself "This was definitely not in the youtube video" and then I realised what had been glaringly obvious if I'd stopped to think before clicking it. This was a new, high quality, version with more instruments. My mind just went blank, and I, for the first time in years, was what can only be described as euphoric. I have been laying at home after school for the last 3 days and just listening to the new version, comparing it to this, and constantly just squirming with happiness. So, even though you may never read this, Thank you Dodie. A simple thing like improving upon a stupid old little love song can make someones life significantly better. I just want you to know that we, your audience, loves you and your music through everything.
