Thanks for the Great video. I use my okara as a flour substitute and have made delicious breads, pizza crust and even chocolate cake. You can replace up to 50% of the flour in a recipe using okara. When you make something like a whole wheat bread with okara, it makes the bread overall more tender and less dense plus much more nutritious since the okara contains lots of fiber, protein and other nutrients. :)
I like this machine. I've made almond milk in the Vitamix and milk bags. It's not so hard, but the soy milk seems to be a little harder, with all the cooking, etc. Your demonstration helps. Thanks for posting.
Great video! SoyaJoy G4 has been the top seller for several years. Finally a newer model has just been introduced - the SoyaJoy G5 which is even better!
Very helpful, thank-you. I have just used a uk equivalent machine called ‘vegan revolution’. It is very cheap to make your own soy milk and saves on all the tetra paks. I added the okara to home-made soup.
Hi Nini Girl. I was looking into buying a Soyajoy G4. Was wondering how your machine is holding up? Do you still use and recommend it? Are you able to make enough for your family? Do you also buy packaged plant milk? Thank you for the video!
Yes, I still use it. It is still going like the first day I bought it. I recommend it to anyone that wants to make their own milks at home. I will say that since my kids have gotten older and their cereal bowls have doubled, they are drinking more of the milks. It got to a point where I was making it every other day. I do supplement with Westsoy Organic Soy Milk Original which I get at Trader Joe's because it is the cheapest there than anywhere I have found. Hope this helps.
Have you used the okara for any recipes? I just made my first batch of soymilk and found the taste of the okara with a bit of salt quite good, but I guess it is somewhat grainy. Have you tried it in hummus or burgers? I will probably eat some and give some to my dogs.
Elizabeth -I use okara in my baking- you can replace 1/2 of the flour in a recipe with okara. It makes breads, pizza crust, cakes, etc more tender and it adds protein, fibers and other nutrients!
Is that mesh strainer enough to filter out all the rough particles? If so, that would be much more desireable than using those nut milk bags that everyone recommends!
I’s guess your ratio between the bean and water is wrong. It’s one Sanlinx cup, which is half of the standard kitchen cup. It seems to me you were using standard cup.

You make some darn good UA-cam content. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and spending your time doing it.
I like the glass container you poured the milk into. Where did you get it?
Nice how-to, good idea on how to cover the plug
Can you do more videos with this Soya thing? I'm interested in getting one but I'd like to see more of the way its used first. thanks!
I love your recipe!!!! And, I do not like soy milk from the store.... Thank you so much!!!
Have you tried with unsoaked beans? I read somewhere that it’s suppose to taste better that way but I am nervous to try it!

That looks so good. Thankyou for making the video. Have you tried making yoghurt from the soy milk?

Thank you Nini Girl! I am using the same Westsoy milk, but am looking forward to making my own soymilk.

Nini, can you estimate how much water is used with the 1 cup of soybeans? I want to try making it on the stove.
Thanks!

Hi Bill, yes it does!
How much soy milk does one cup of the beans make?
Wow I've never seen that Soya Joy thing before. It makes almond milk like that too???
+Kate Whorton Yes it does and it is DELISH!!

Do you need to remove the skins after soaking?
No
I think you’re supposed to use 1/2 a cup of beans not 1 cup - which is the cup it comes with, just one of those
Omg I want that thing!!! lol!
+Jean C I know that is how I was. I have had it for 3 years and I have milked every nut seed and bean you can imagine It also makes soups!! I love it!

Where do you buy you organic soybeans?
