      @@FAL87 Shinzo Abe, Japan's former Prime Minister, was assassinated just two years ago in Japan (a country with incredibly strict private gun ownership laws), by an assassin using an improvised firearm. Criminals will get weapons anyway they can, if they can't legally purchase one, then they'll try to illegally purchase one. If they can't illegally purchase one, then they'll make one. Acting as if politically motivated assassination attempts are solely are a U.S. problem because the U.S. has a ton of firearms is utterly hilarious, open up a history book my guy. Lastest report says they were trying to find him up to 3 hours beforehand, before Trump ever took the stage. Also they said there was supposed to be a sniper on that building but head of SS said they didn't put someone there due to sloped roof. Lie... because the sniper that shot him was on a sloped roof. There is video of him crawling up and two officers saw him with a gun. They still did not stop PT from going on stage. This will be covered up

  • @warmafia5353
    @warmafia5353 Місяць тому +427

    I've seen some people commenting in some videos that they saw him in the roof before the attempt, they told the security but they did nothing. So if someone says, "Because of this or because of that secret service couldn't do anything" is a an excuse. Everyone saw that guy crawling in the roof with a gun who wasn't part of the security.

      The issue with this argument is that ignores the reality of being in a rally crowd. We were out there weeks in advance prepping, stacking shipping containers 3 high around the entire perimeter and draping cammo netting over it so secret service had somewhere for their crack shots to hide. All of the nearby buildings were scouted, cleared and men were stationed on rooftops. This is on a secure military facility, not some backwoods town. I was impressed with the level of security. NOONE was getting in without us knowing. Furthermore, I met a few of these guys. They were all ex military and clearly top tier soldiers at one point in their careers. How? That’s the ultimate question right. USSS is considered the best in personal protection but this happened. They’ve come out today to say that local law enforcement was responsible for perimeter security and not their agents. To me, it seems that’s a really fast explaxantion by USSS on how this event was allowed to happen. Even before any real investigation has been done, the finger pointing has started. I was in the impression that USSS has ultimate say on security when it relates to sitting President and former Presidents. Their agents are trained to protect their principals. Local police aren’t. The quick finger pointing by USSS makes them more suspect of, either, incompetence or dereliction of duty. Both are equally bad.

    I think there were two critical failures:
    1 - the secret service and local law enforcement needed to work together to pull additional resources. Local police should have been controlling access to all 18 locations with secret service oversite.
    2 - local police needed to have direct communication with secret service for urgent calls. A local officer went to engage the suspect, but if there had been proper communication, he could have immediately radioed to secret service that there was a shooter.
    I am sure there were other failures, but those two seem critical to me based on current information available.

    I worked with the Secret Service back when President Reagan visited OKC, headed to Tinker AFB. A major DOD contractor in the city was having an anniversary celebration, and when they learned Reagan was going to be at Tinker, they invited him to attend. The Secret Service contacted the company I worked at which rents motor homes out, to provide four motor homes for the president's detail, the media, etc. I spent many hours crawling around in and under those motor homes with agents, we looked at places that were vulnerable such as inside wheel wells, inside the motor housing, nooks and crannies within the chassis etc. A couple of the windows pop out for emergency exits, so we mapped those out and also removed all the propane gas bottles, went over all entrances and exits, literally the whole nine yards. Plus I had to be on-call that whole week in case the SS had questions, and made many trips out to the site to resolve issues. The SS was great to work with overall, very thorough and professional. During his visit, the protection detail was fantastic--what has happened to the Secret Service since then? I'm just dumbfounded by this. SMH.

    @originalhuman I think the term we are talking is defense-in-depth. For him to get into that position and get a shot off essentially means that every single layer, including the inner cordon, failed, since the whole point is for the shooter to be unable to engage at all. As for the politics, the rhetoric calling for Trump's death even coming from the Administration is undeniably at fault, politics aside. When you ask, "Is this the best we can do?", you have to understand that governments are ALWAYS representative of the current state of the people, regardless of whether they do what the people want. Trump is a flawed individual who has been trying to fulfill the will of the majority (as evidenced by election, polls, and street interviews). Biden is a career politician (54 years in politics) who represents the extreme state of political corrupt in the US system. The fact that people would vote against Trump for "mean tweets" etc but permit the kind of things that Biden says (I'm not writing them here, you'll see why) while ignoring his dementia, reflects most poorly on the moral compass of Americans, as it means we are more motivated by emotional tides than a true ethical system. As for actual discussions, there are honest conversations out there, you just gotta know where to look. Steven Crowder, for all his issues, has several videos out recently where he has legit conversations with a variety of people. Even Ben Shapiro and Ana Kasparian had some civil discussions. The people who don't want legit conversations are the ones that try to shut down debate on the streets by screaming, who call the campus cops on street interviews, and who call for assassinations. These are the people, we can agree, are the ones we don't want to be in charge. At the end of the day, if an idea seems reasonable to you, but then becomes unreasonable when the political affiliation of the speaker is revealed, then I guess that reflects the emotion bias of the listener. A simple solution? People need to be humble enough to be introspective of themselves on the daily, and most people don't do that.

      @Morgaine Місяць тому

      You have always had white male privilege so you can't see it. It doesn't mean you're rich or don't have to work, or you have no problems. You don't have to check behind the door and in every stall before you use the bathroom because you're a man. Women have to have that kind of awareness all the time. You can go almost anywhere without wondering if they'll serve you or do business with you because you're white. You don't have to think about that as a person of color does. That's doesn't make you a bad person, but you have the privilege of assuming you are welcome in most places in society. Minorities just ask you to remember that they have to be more aware of where they are, or who they're with, and they often are just not as welcome or safe as you are. It's not resentment, or racism, it's wishing you had more empathy for people who have it tougher.

    It is the responsibility of every American to defend the Constitution, if the central government begins to circumvent it. Only the amendment process, requiring the agreement of 3/4 of the states, can be used to modify it. The popular vote does not change this, nor can the judiciary. So, Wyoming has the same power as California in this process.
    It is the continual erosion of the Constitution, with the purpose of moving the country to the Left, is the main source of tension.

      The country is moving left. The whole world is. That's just a thing that has happened since humans began building societies. I was watching live on TV when Reagan was shot. It was a smaller area, but the minute that sound was heard, Reagan was under a pile of agents and not seen again. They pounced on him so fast he didn't have time to realize he'd been hit. He was at the hospital while people in his group were still at the scene bleeding on the ground. I saw none of that urgency Saturday. People on the ground saw that kid before the SS snipers did. And the kid has almost no internet presence. As someone who was born and raised in Butler, this was an absolutely surreal moment. Nothing ever really happens here to make the news, outside of the local paper reporting on car crash fatalities and stuff like that. I know people on both sides of the aisle who went to the rally pretty much for the novelty of it, because before Trump the last time a presidential candidate campaigned in Butler, it was JFK in the 60s (I know, great track record we have so far). The one thing my city had as a claim to fame before this was the fact that we created the Jeep when the military was looking for a small vehicle back during WWII (we have a small festival every year for it), but now any time someone thinks of Butler it's always going to be the place where Trump survived an assassination attempt.

    The most important questions to ask are where was the aerial surveillance and why was Trump allowed to even take the stage when law enforcement knew about the threat and the gunman for 26 minutes before any shots fired? The secret service has said that they couldn’t post anybody on that roof for safety reasons, so why didn’t they do anything to block line of sight? This was a complete failure by the secret service.

    Where was the shooters vehicle?? Nobody is asking this question. I haven’t seen any video of police sweeping a vehicle.
    They said explosives were found in his house and his vehicle. But no video of this vehicle has been shown.
    Did someone drop him off?
    I did see last night one video showing a van on side of road half on grass somewhere after dark. But they haven’t said exactly where this van was.
    This is important and no one is asking about it.
    These “professional journalists” are horrible. Somebody, actually all of them, should’ve asked already where the vehicle was and how far he had to move with gun to building.
    Do we know it was an AR-15 or just an AR type weapon? I mean a PCC can break and fold in half which easily fits in a back pack.
    I saw a picture of the rifle and a black back pack on the roof after they had removed the shooter with no other person on the roof.
    I mean why was the rifle not secured already. There should’ve been someone there with that weapon or secured it already.
    Also, this location had been used before even though nobody knew except police the location of rally to 24 hours before.
    The shooter could’ve recon-ed this and other previous locations of rallies.
    Nobody is asking the correct questions.
