thank you so much for making this video, I honestly thought Guilded was just a blatant Discord ripoff with fewer features - this has almost convinced me to switch tbh if Guilded does begin to actually get on a similar level to Discord in terms of popularity, I would absolutely switch
To all the people saying they will make the switch if it gets popular: Why not do it now? People need to switch to get it popular, you can still use Discord along it and start a community in Guilded
Guilded is the best. Been using it ~2 years now. Absolutely nothing is better and more convenient for organizing my community and the games we play together. From whispers to broadcasts, scheduling tools and calendars, setting up my voice chats in trees as well. Idk anything else that can fit my needs, especially not for free.
Tbh currently the 1 thing holding me from going to guilded is the lack of people i will make an account but the process of making alll my friends switch too is so hard near impossible even though it is better so i will wait to fully switch to guilded
Guilded just gets better and better as time passes. The best thing about it is that Guilded doesn't really need as much revenue from subscriptions, as Roblox's revenue is likely doing the heavy lifting. It's practically a full access platform at no cost. Too bad that Discord steals every idea they make and profit off of it half of the time.
That's business my guy, you call it copying they call it marketing and competition and they're right because as CEO you are responsible for making sure your work doesn't get leaked. It's all about what company has the most trustable structure and the most stable one.
every business decision is a way to make profit. roblox bought guilded because they know it will be profitable one day. when it gets popular enough, enough to actually be a threat to discord, they will 100% make a paywall for guilded
I think that if it got popular enough they would totally paywall some of this stuff with the good old "sorry our server space is limited, we have more users now so we have to make cuts" scenario. They would probably still make the free option more compelling than Discord to lure in new people.
i remember downloading guilded last year and genuinely enjoyed using it. the hard part is getting people to transfer over... its honestly great for group/club organization with the whole time table thing
I think that Guilded is very good and in a lot of ways better than discord, all the different channel types are great and I would use them all the time. But the thing that Discord has and Guilded hasn't is people. Once you got all your friends on discord and you have a server with them, you can't just get them to move on guilded. Why would they change for guilded when discord works well for them. Having all my friends on discord is one of the only few things that make me stay on discord.
The biggest thing on Guilded is the file limit, you literally have to compress some images to upload them on Discord, and yet to the naked eye the image literally looks the same.
Personally I think that this is entirely possible because guilded is already funded, with better budget and all that. For which I see as an absolute win, Btw. On the other hand, discord needs to constantly monitize to be where it is, which creates a uhhh YK annoyance among free users.
I tried getting my friends to use Guilded last year, since its SOOOOO much better!!! Unfortunately, only 3 jumped over, and eventually jumped back, since nobody else hopped over. Still, I absolutely love it, and would hop over in a heartbeat if I could!
Well...if you join the more popular servers like the official Guilded server and one cool server called Anime Island (it's more general than an anime server lol) then you'll have a great experience, these two guilds are pretty active, they can compete with some smaller Discord servers.
Hi, i would love to have a comparison between both platforms' privacy pls. As this is usually ignored by most of users but is really important for some. Hope a video about that will come out soon
I've improved my member base by over 600% switching to guilded. Across my servers I have over 1,000 members. The thing about guilded is there's not an over saturation so you can find communities or get people to join your community easier.
@@strikeyz I'll be the more honest Guilded guy here. Yes, you should defintiely try it...but when you use it for long enough you start to realize that members just join then leave and never come back again. So most of Guilded is pretty much dead, there are only 3-4 communities that are actually alive and doing well, but even they don't have that many members talking, just the same like 10-30 people. So maybe....wait a bit or join a BIG community when you want to see how users take advantage of the features, it's insane how creative people can get.
in my opinion, guilded is a better app than discord because it focuses on the one thing that discord was made to be but rarely focuses on that anymore: being a social platform, as the data limit, everything being free, and low customisability with bots prove this, it also does better with innovative features that stray from the social platform goal, yet because everyone stays on discord, i cant make the switch, and i wish it was the other way around.
When I heard that Roblox bought out guilded, I was kinda panicked because of how Roblox has been going. I half-expected Roblox to straight up turn this into either an addon for Roblox, or make it insanely monetized. Thankfully though, that wasn’t what happened.
Knowing the type of company roblox is, there is no way I would use any software associated with them. If I want a company tracking what I'm done and logging all my messages, I would have just stayed on Discord.
This is one of the best channels I've discovered while looking for discord scams to watch out for. Thanks for sharing this! I would've never discovered Guilded on my own in the first place but now me and my friends use this app for when we play horror games!
Sadly, even if it has better features, nobody will use it because everyone just defaults to discord Plus, no rich presence and less support for official account linking. So I'm not switching mainly because everyone just uses discord
It's quite hard since, I would move to heart beat but all my connections and communities are on discord, It would take so long to move people to guilded so that's pretty much the only reason why I am use discord.
The biggest difference is discord collects all your data, even messages you don’t sent. And guilded doesn’t, both owned partially by tencent but the fact that guilded doesn’t collect all your data is the big one for me
Well I'm officially sold now on switching to Guilded and getting away from Discord 😄🙌 thanks for this review; I'll definitely be spreading the word to friends.
I really wish I used Guilded more. It's hard to make people or your friends move over to another platform altogether. I really like Guilded and its features.I love the group feature where you can add game-related topics and channels. Guilded, to me, has a lot going for it, and if more people used it, I think it could potentially make good competition for Discord in the future
@@Etherrite, every big company collects your data. But Guilded ain't big? Yeah, but the data they collect is within its privacy policy. Selling it is a different topic.
in my opinion, guilded is extremely underrated, the only reason i dont switch to guilded is because community is very small compared to the discord community
Tbh Guilded already looks a lot better than Discord in terms of features. I’m really hyped towards seeing it as the new go-to as a gaming socializing and communication service. Sadly it lacks the user base and it really is what makes a social media skyrocket since what makes people wanna register is actually the knowledge that the platform already has a big user base to connect with. Right now as I said Guilded is better than Discord in terms of functionalities and features but nobody is going to actually use it if they can’t actually talk to their friends on it. So what I think Guilded needs to do right now is actually not focus on making a better chat feature than Discords, but actually provide some features that are exclusive to Guilded that Discord does not provide and that gamers really need. That is, to build the user base. Then and only then the chat features come in handy. If I had to suggest some features I’d recommend these ones: - LFG (Looking for Group) features. I really want to stress this point since this is something I would actually use more than Discord itself, that massively synergies with the chat features and that Discord doesn’t have, at all, and that community servers try to integrate by making channels that kind of do it, but that aren’t really great at it. Guilded should make some really advanced, kind of matchmaking feature that allows players to filter players by game, age, gender*, long/short term, scopes** as well game specific features (really important stuff, almost main one)***. If Guilded achieves it, it may become big. - Native mod support. A good api for developers that should be retro-compatible, easy to use and to make mods on. Discord actually does not approve clients like BetterDiscord, and allowing the community to make its own stuff is really great. Also I hope that Guilded should be trying to focus on not being too much centered to a specific age group. All of this could get ruined if for example Guilded makes mandatory chat restrictions as Mojang did to Minecraft. In this regards, Guilded should be really listening to its community, by for example collaborating directly with Content Creators (Wanna see ntts on stream ;D) who kind of represent the community in a way, or implement its own way of representing it directly inside the app, making the community kind of decide when it can. * Regarding LGBT stuff, to make it simple, make it only male-female by default, and add something in the settings for LGBT related stuff toggleable in the settings so that everyone is happy. Toggleable because most people won’t need it and if it is there it kinds of takes space you know but it should be available if someone wants it. ** Casual, Ranked, Tryhard, Practice, Looking for friends… *** Examples: League of Legends should have elo, role, main champs, etc. Minecraft could have servers, type of gameplay, game mode (server ones mainly) etc. Fortnite could as well have game modes, arena points, etc.
too bad it's so hard to migrate Discord friends to Guilded. I think it's a great platform with a lot of potential (especially the customizable bots and media features) But beating an established brand like Discord is difficult as long as Guilded is still so niche...
As awesome guilded is, I unfortunately won’t be using it any time soon just due to the fact everyone has discord, not so much guilded. I pretty much use discord exclusively as a means to talk with friends, and I can’t exactly ask them all to switch to this new playform. It’s the same issue with UA-cam: it’s a shit platform but because it has so many users you’d be missing out by using something else.
You forgot to mention how guilded doesnt take literally all of your data unlike discord that tracks everything you do and saves it somewhere, even messages you dont send discord collects
While Guilded seems so nice to use and to transition to, everyone else I know owns discord sadly, so even if I were to move, I won’t have much to talk to because Discord became a universal call app.
You have friends who own Discord? For real? That's insane. How do I get in on owning Discord and getting a slice of their revenue? Oh, you mean "everyone else I know USES discord". My bad.

From all these comments, especially, it looks like there's a bit of a Catch 22 going on with Guilded right now. A lot of people seem to want to use it, but individually don't want to because there aren't other people joining in to use it as well. Funny, huh. Personally, I'm already using it for planning out a project with my friend, as the organizational features are so much better than anything Discord has to offer right now. But that's a personal server. I dunno, how would you guys solve the "no new users because those people want other new users" problem?
the main reason for me switching was ToS reasons. Discord has permission to read all your private messages but guilded does not. They only store deleted messages

Based on a quick (definitely out of date) Google search. A Tencent subsidiary has 49% stake in Roblox so they could become like Discord anyway depending on Tencent's power over Guilded. Discord is being funded by Tencent more than it's subscription just to sell our info so maybe not but who knows.
Most companies have to sell part of themselves to tencent just to get into Chinese market which is kind of stupid honestly what more than likely that's probably what you're looking at here, and since it's not over 50% they don't have much to speak on the company besides it's Chinese variant and even if they did tencent enjoys having independent Developers
Based on that 49% number, I think you're referring to the Roblox China/Loubu project, which was a partnership to develop a Roblox alternative for the Chinese market. This project ended in 2021, and never involved any transfer of control or ownership of Roblox to Tencent; both remained separate entities.
I think it can be good for good competition for Discord. Maybe if guilded gets so popular and have all the nitro features free, Discord might rethink some of their features and make it free at least higher quality screenshare free, pfp and banner animated free and higher upload size to begin with which can be pretty good. Discord is so big and the only site of its kind so they dont have any competition in the market place . Althought Guilded does look really similar to Discord and I wonder if that can be a lawsuit waiting to happen becuz so much of it looks similar and identical to Discord
Guilded and Discord are completely different in terms of design, no way Discord could sue them with all the changes they made. Also worth mentioning that Slack was made way before Discord and had similar design but they never Discord.
@@Pazee ahh gotcha. Well I tired pc version of Guilded and yeah you can see the differences but it really is insanely similar to Discord, although mobile seems a lot different. And didnt know about slack even existed lol. Also I was saying sue becuz companies sue like all the time over the dumbest things as copying design. I said that becuz its something that has happened literally hundreds of times.
I ran into multiple breaking issues when it came to voice chats. A short 5 minute chat, fine. A 30 minute voice chat? No. Often I would find, somewhere around the 20 minute mark, 19 out of 20 sessions, we would encounter a voice disconnect, or random glitch that caused us to be unable to talk to each other, or screen sharing would be broken, etc. After about the 100th time we decided to try Discord, and had a perfect session for the first time in weeks. We sat on a 1:1 call for an hour. Then we moved into a channel, had 4 people talking at the same time, sharing screens and voice chatting. No issues. Everyone could talk, nobody dropped, no random glitches. We also didn't seem to have predatory Discord employees or devs hunting down mentally ill people to be part of their "Discord Gang". And by mentally ill, I mean people who go into the Guilded official server, in general chat, and talk about ALT-F4ing themselves, but IRL. Within a few short days, maybe a couple of weeks, these people get brought into Gil Gang. Say nothing of getting rejected from their partner program with no reason given, no way to improve, no way to know what I did wrong.... Then watching about a dozen other people get picked up for partner, even though they have basically no Twitch following, next to no Twitter/X following, a mostly empty UA-cam channel, and they aren't even seen in Gil Gang or the other inner-circle servers, nowhere. One day they just get announced on Gil's Twitter as partner, and that's the first we hear of them. We had issues connecting webhooks with other services, and got zero support to fix it. In-fact after we started expressing sincere disdain for some of the issues with Guilded, we stopped receiving anything resembling support, whatsoever. By we I mean myself, and at least 3 other people in my circle. Gil Gang is sus, because in order to be in it, you have to essentially slave your entire social media presence. You MUST complete "missions" in order to stay in Gil Gang. Those missions almost always involve sharing Guilded content on your own profiles. It was to the point where there was easily 4x more content than my own on Twitter. Guilded some neat features, but they seem like a proving ground, a testing facility, for features that will soon be in Discord. Rest assured any decent features that Guilded gets, within 6 months Discord will be adding them. They added Roblox logins which effectively made Guilded a fulltime squeaker fest. And don't even get me started on issues with raids/botting etc. Overall, the tradeoff to use Guilded is living in a shadowy silkroad-esque realm where kids are being targeted as marketing platforms for a product that is supposed to be free (so why are we marketing it for them?) and a DOA zero-growth platform for adult users. On Discord you can at least invite people and folks know what it is and you can grow a server. On Guilded, good luck. Don't get me wrong, Guilded's upload limit is nice, and there are a few other features I wish Discord had, but everything Guilded has integrated, there are free options I was already using. You mentioned a few. Ultimately I gave Guilded several years to mature, and 2 years of dedicated use, and my friends and I ended up back on Discord anyway. That's my review.
The only issue I've noticed with Guilded while using it was the fact it eats up a lot of Memory... At one point, it took a few minutes for the downloadable program (Not Browser) to go from 100MB to 700-750MB... And just stayed fluctuating there... Once they fix this issue with memory and performance... (Don't bother talking about Mobile Guilded)... It'll be on the right track!
One thing I really wanna know about Guilded though is it's historic with moderation like how does the team handle illegal groups and users? Especially dangerous hate groups considering Discord doesn't even care about them!
has anyone counted the amount of features discord just took from Guilded? cuz its way too many and its just sad people dont know guilded has all of them already and had it before discord :
well to be fair discord basically gets sponsored for free because of youtubers and game creators promoting there server on discord so discord would basically be more well known then guilded and people would most likely stick with discord instead of guilded because people mostly use discord to talk to there friends so guilded would be below discord until one of them sue and who ever wins is basically getting the other shut down due to copyright
I thought that I had to cope or be forced to make my own discord alternative but now knowing that guilded exists as something separate from discord I will use it right away. My only concern is that Roblox has some of the same exact issues discord has with the roblox game
I’m also curious to know if guilded has a betterdiscord kind of thing where you can have themes and plugins or other functions similar to betterdiscord.
The problem with Guilded is that it's too similar to Discord. I'd rather use something that actually respects my privacy and I can bring my own client to.
If you want something open-source, use Matrix or Revolt, but similarity shouldn't be the primary reason why you would choose one over the other. Keep in mind that Discord took inspiration from Slack's UI, and it turned out to be a success...
Guided only has these features for free because they are less popular, trust me if they were to be the more popular platform you'd vet that they would do the same
This app looks great, the only problem is that its technically history repeating itself. Guilded is copying the same path as discord, but for free. But because Roblox Corp is controlling it, I think it will be in the same situation with Discord. Roblox is hungry for money and because of that I think they will probably add something like "Nitro", and slowly become a second Discord. What people really need, is Guilded controlled by a Non-Profit Organization (or at least a well known one) , and be an open source app. The only thing you can pay is donations to people and the Org itself. I don't trust Roblox Corp, so it will probably go the same route as Discord went. Or maybe, instead of making a whole client, that "Org" I stated earlier can probably make a BetterDiscord plugin that actually fixes everything that is wrong about Discord, and instead of using Discord servers, probably forward everything to servers controlled by the Org. And also, a less important note, I like Discord's ads and the way the market it, by acting in a childish way, but to be honest that has to stop if someone creates a Non-Profit Discord.
You do have a good point there, and on top of that it'd be ideal if there was LESS centralization Until that point comes though, if it ever, Guilded seems to be a decent option in it's own right, despite, what many of the naysayers on Discord's platform have to say about it (mostly the ones who haven't gave it a serious try, of course)
@@MasicoreLord But sadly I still have to use Discord, convincing all my friends to use Guilded will be very hard... Also if Guilded gets more popular I hope they make better Docs and support for devs that are coding bots, RPC, webhooks and more... Even GTA V moding libraries has more documentation than discord.
Guilded is overall better than discord at this point, the problem is that its way too underrated and people often choose discord over it, i get it, i am a discord user myself and i've been using discord for nearly 2 years now, i've had nitro too but guilded gives you that nitro feeling for free actually, when i switch i'll try to convince my friends to use it too. :)
I'm already in a middle of a transition from Discord to Guilded and I'll tell ya, there's a lot of much better stuff, better server organizing and what I love the most is how you can sort specific categories in groups, so your main section of the server isn't filled with metric fuckton of categories and channels. I also like how you can have more than 50 emojis and how you can also use even your custom emojis EVERYWHERE without any stupid Nitro. So from my point of view, Guilded is DEFINITELY better than Discord in most aspects.
@@gn2bstutorials382 It takes time and popularity for issues to arise, like with Twitch, Apple, Google, Discord... or Minecraft. Remember that whole ordeal? It's commendable to want a global moderation system but, unlike Roblox, Minecraft servers mostly consist of people or other companies that self-host rather than Microsoft or Mojang doing that themselves which is why the huge backlash occurred. People still wanted the fireflies, since it helps the ambiance of the game, but once pointed out that the frogs/toads get poisoned by them IRL they removed them entirely instead of disabling the feature for that mob. They claim to listen to the community and they seem to have started ignoring them when it's controversial. Modders were concerned about the EULA Microsoft had for the mappings of the Minecraft .jar files they provided, so they requested that some parts of it were made clearer so they were protected from Microsoft's lawyers; fortunately they did. Apple was and still is known for it's *mostly* quality hardware, but started going down the hard to repair route; funny that Steve Wozniak even despises this choice. Alphabet makes money off of it's services mainly ads and analytics, basically they are the tyrant of the internet now (though, in what better way could they make money and stay alive?). Microsoft had that Embrace Extend Extinguish (EEE) way back in the day. Google Chrome's manifest V3 stifles ad blockers, since Google Chrome AND it's base Chromium are leaders in browser market share (you could just keep the V2 fork, update it to include the rest of the V3 features, but who knows how long that will last for?). Intel sat on their asses for years, like Discord is doing right now, until AMD came with Ryzen. It seems that these larger companies *work slowly* to make/keep things worse or to become more anti-consumer. Just give it some time. For the time being we can enjoy the free features and the competition it brings. Though some of these I could be wrong or not have the whole picture on (for example the EEE), do your own research.
@@somerandomstuff9239 , simple answer: no. Reason being is that ROBLOX owns them INDEPENDENTLY, which restricts them from developing/managing it. They just support it financially.
They aren't, and are instead making it better. Also, keep in mind that ROBLOX owns them INDEPENDENTLY, which restricts them from developing/managing it. They just support it financially.
No more so than Discord would have ran into copying Slack's ideas and design in the same sense. The main design elements you're seeing "copied" are just artifacts from the same libraries used across the vast majority of Electron apps.
Let's just make this clear: Discord's not one when it comes to originality. Discord's UI has been 'inspired' by Slack. And Discord has been actively taking features from other platforms and putting it in their own. Discord has copied more than Guilded has ever did.
Except for a few annoying and missing basic things and lags... yes, Guilded is in every possible way better than Discord. Too bad no one is on it and Discord is copying one feature after another

@@natman_bad How are they supposed to implement it without it getting "leaked"?
every business decision is a way to make profit. roblox bought guilded because they know it will be profitable one day. when it gets popular enough, enough to actually be a threat to discord, they will 100% make a paywall for guilded
@@amogoose2971 That is unfortunately, how most companies that seem like they have a lot of potential end up turning out
I think that if it got popular enough they would totally paywall some of this stuff with the good old "sorry our server space is limited, we have more users now so we have to make cuts" scenario. They would probably still make the free option more compelling than Discord to lure in new people.
if both are populor it will make incentive for them to make it better
I'm pretty sure roblox's funding is making their service more free for everyone. Which, i like.

Same
So awesome to see that you made an updated video on Guilded and that you recommend it as well. Hope to see you around!
The biggest thing on Guilded is the file limit, you literally have to compress some images to upload them on Discord, and yet to the naked eye the image literally looks the same.
@Fishy Pug Bruh Can you specify on why this matters
Personally I think that this is entirely possible because guilded is already funded, with better budget and all that.
For which I see as an absolute win, Btw.
On the other hand, discord needs to constantly monitize to be where it is, which creates a uhhh YK annoyance among free users.
But the funding for Guilded probably comes from Roblox Monetisation.

Well...if you join the more popular servers like the official Guilded server and one cool server called Anime Island (it's more general than an anime server lol) then you'll have a great experience, these two guilds are pretty active, they can compete with some smaller Discord servers.

It's so much better than discord
The only reason I won't make the switch is because barely anyone uses it
I've improved my member base by over 600% switching to guilded. Across my servers I have over 1,000 members. The thing about guilded is there's not an over saturation so you can find communities or get people to join your community easier.

@li1ven Ya homie has to rock the classic Xbox live halo pic
in my opinion, guilded is a better app than discord because it focuses on the one thing that discord was made to be but rarely focuses on that anymore: being a social platform, as the data limit, everything being free, and low customisability with bots prove this, it also does better with innovative features that stray from the social platform goal, yet because everyone stays on discord, i cant make the switch, and i wish it was the other way around.
God, I hope Guilded becomes popular enough to actually threaten Discord.
The only reason I stay with Discord is because all my friends use it.
2:42 finally after soo many videos gave me a reason to subscribe
Thanks to your channel I'm actually looking into creating a sizable D&D community on Guilded, and hoping to make it into something worthwhile.
I love how on guilded you can create more 'servers' for different games on your server
When I heard that Roblox bought out guilded, I was kinda panicked because of how Roblox has been going. I half-expected Roblox to straight up turn this into either an addon for Roblox, or make it insanely monetized. Thankfully though, that wasn’t what happened.
Yeah I can’t believe roblox did something good
Knowing the type of company roblox is, there is no way I would use any software associated with them. If I want a company tracking what I'm done and logging all my messages, I would have just stayed on Discord.
This is one of the best channels I've discovered while looking for discord scams to watch out for. Thanks for sharing this! I would've never discovered Guilded on my own in the first place but now me and my friends use this app for when we play horror games!
only problem is lack of users
ui is surprisingly better than discord one, you can see someone's level in their profile (if you have levelling bot enabled)
Sadly, even if it has better features, nobody will use it because everyone just defaults to discord
Plus, no rich presence and less support for official account linking.
So I'm not switching mainly because everyone just uses discord
I would def switch to guilded if it wasn't for the lack of people tbh
It's quite hard since, I would move to heart beat but all my connections and communities are on discord, It would take so long to move people to guilded so that's pretty much the only reason why I am use discord.

If I had to suggest some features I’d recommend these ones:
- LFG (Looking for Group) features.
** Casual, Ranked, Tryhard, Practice, Looking for friends…
*** Examples:
League of Legends should have elo, role, main champs, etc.
Minecraft could have servers, type of gameplay, game mode (server ones mainly) etc.
Fortnite could as well have game modes, arena points, etc.
too bad it's so hard to migrate Discord friends to Guilded.
I think it's a great platform with a lot of potential (especially the customizable bots and media features)
But beating an established brand like Discord is difficult as long as Guilded is still so niche...
Guilded isn't niche, it's really the same as Discord but way better. It's meant for gaming communities.

The real question is, do they have ways for anyone to make bots? Do they let their bots read all messages? Can the bot devs choose a unique prefix?
While Guilded seems so nice to use and to transition to, everyone else I know owns discord sadly, so even if I were to move, I won’t have much to talk to because Discord became a universal call app.

But the downloaded version of guilded is also a browser, just like discord
ive convinced most of my friends to switch to guilded for our gc and our server because of the 1080p streaming its just so much better.
I deadass want to use this but I know none of my friends will switch 😭😭
If Guilded were more popular I probably would use it

@@merulox, they have their own privacy policy on their website. Just search it up.
If you want something open-source, use Matrix or Revolt, but similarity shouldn't be the primary reason why you would choose one over the other. Keep in mind that Discord took inspiration from Slack's UI, and it turned out to be a success...
Why is no one using this. This is 1000 times better than discord
I swear guided would be the best messaging app ever IF discord didn't already ha e so many people using it
Guilded seems much better, considering they have discord Nitro features for free, just need more people then I'd love to switch
Guided only has these features for free because they are less popular, trust me if they were to be the more popular platform you'd vet that they would do the same
Can't wait for Roblox to put chat moderation in every guilded server
You do have a good point there, and on top of that it'd be ideal if there was LESS centralization
Until that point comes though, if it ever, Guilded seems to be a decent option in it's own right, despite, what many of the naysayers on Discord's platform have to say about it (mostly the ones who haven't gave it a serious try, of course)
@@MasicoreLord But sadly I still have to use Discord, convincing all my friends to use Guilded will be very hard...
They just support it financially.
man this is making me wish some of the servers im on discord could switch to guilded but alas.... moving a whole server is a hell on earth
Actually looks pretty good
Wow I never knew guilded was this good
Are there not any copyright issues with them clearly copying Discord's idea's and design?
No more so than Discord would have ran into copying Slack's ideas and design in the same sense. The main design elements you're seeing "copied" are just artifacts from the same libraries used across the vast majority of Electron apps.
Let's just make this clear: Discord's not one when it comes to originality. Discord's UI has been 'inspired' by Slack. And Discord has been actively taking features from other platforms and putting it in their own. Discord has copied more than Guilded has ever did.
Discord copied Slack, Gilded copied Discord
obviously not
@@elllieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, not ‘copied’, but ‘inspired’, and that’s how basically every app works.
The minecraft part had me going lol, may I get into this minecraft server where ever you are going?
Except for a few annoying and missing basic things and lags... yes, Guilded is in every possible way better than Discord. Too bad no one is on it and Discord is copying one feature after another
Finally, someone else who addresses the fact that Discord's been taking features from other platforms.
