I heard that somebody squatted 240 for 11 reps though
He's a nobody 🤣
He whispered, "Aint nuthin' but a peanut" afterwards and winked before leaving in that good night.
the fact that squat senpai is not in here makes me upset
Tank is a big too big to learn a lot from for most people 😭.
Toshiki is amazing (obviously) but his style doesn't have as many learner points as the boys in the video do
Toshiki style
230kg as a ripped teenager is mad impressive.
Very very
when fridge can squat 2x bodyweight aka 300kg he deserves a spot on this list
Tian Tao my oh so glorious, magnificence, greatest, noble, splendiferous, wondrous, out of this world, spectacular king 👑
I love Haack's style. He doesn't have a lot of the stereotypical super-efficiencies, instead, he's just a fucking *HOUSE.*
Good stuff lads - keep the content coming!
Thanks! Will do!
Saw an incredibly strong guy squat 240 for 11 reps, super sexy guy too
Naw he's nobody
These old school Clarence squats are GOAT
Check out John Kucs 905 high bar squat at the 1973 world power lifting championships.I have seen photos of it but no video. He squatted high bar all his career.
The video about Tian Tao's squat is spot on. He squats wide but is still able to hit a really good depth. Not many have the hip flexor strength and flexibility to squat that wide and deep with 300kg+ on their back.
I was wondering if Chen Lijun has as crazy a squat as his snatch stance. But not really. He has quite an ugly looking front squat, you wouldn't think he was a professional weightlifter compared to his team mates.
@@AfferbeckBeatswatching his back squats from the side or rear view looks so strange especially after watching tian tao and other team mates lift so seamlessly
he squats like only an inch past 90 degree its not even ass to grass
His stance is quite narrow because he has short femurs and long back. Don't know what are you talking about.
It is much more rare to see people squat narrow and deep than wide and deep.
In fact if you have long femurs and you can't increase your ancle flexion one of the first tips is to adopt a wider stance.
Also, hip mobility is preciselly what you also don't have to worry about when adopting a wide stance, so your arguments is completelly nonsensical.
No squat Senpai? You have brought dishonor upon your youtube channel.
I love you guys
Some guy did 240x11 recently which was cool. I forget the name though..
Naw F that guy
Haacks always makes me nervous when he squats... Same as Kevin oak... No idea why just both of them make me nervous
180 kgs @42 reps, "Lock Gannon" one of our own (Oirish) legends...not bad for a bodybuilder...just bein' conversational, hugs to the algo...
Must check him out that's crazy 😮
deff xlnt cardio...😂
Hello, can anyone share with me where can I access the live streams? :)
Real question is how many ppl can do 300kg for 4 without any sort of thick powerlifting sleeve (SBD or Inzer) that’s the really impressive part of Tians squatting
From my own experience 7mm or less knee sleeves that fit appropriately don't help as much as they do for the under sized put on with plastic bag knee sleeves do or super super tight wraps.
Most weightlifters would get very close to their lifts without them without, especially if they had a few weeks to get used to it.
What’s the deal with Tian Tao’s knees caving in on every rep? What weakness causes that if someone does that?
Some of my favorite squatters to watch that probably aren't here...
Damien Pezzuti
Chris Craft "C3 Muscle"
Some guy who just did 240 kg for 11, I can't remember his name
Oluwatofunmi Fadesire "Olu Strong"
Martins Licis
Pat Mendes
Kevin Oak
Ray Williams
Bobb Matthews "SSJ BOBB"
I'm surprised you didn't include Tian Tao's 280kg x 2 at 77kg at 17 yrs old, especially given that Eoin himself posted the video of it.
Damien Pezzuti analysis?
What’s your take on Chris C3 Craft?
Ray Williams, Carl Yngvar Christensen & Baline summer deserve a mention
Sad to not see Toshiki in the list. His squats are one of the most beautiful squats I've ever seen. Super wide and great depth. Wider than Tian Tao's squats.
0:54 finally someone says it
Awesome video, but should have included koklyaev 300kg no hand squat
We had to keep the list to 3 and the best to learn from 😁
How about Max Lang?
Andrey Malanichev?
Pretty cool that John Haack has a Mjolnir tattoo. I wonder if he is heathen.
You might want to view some of Tom Martin's sguats.
Tom is incredible for sure
Kevin Oak is a good highbar squatter.
You should have included Pat Mendes' 800lb atg squat somewhere
Kind of forgot about pat not going to lie 😅
Rob Adell around that time was another Broz athlete that I always thought had insane form. He was lighter than Pat and Rob moved on from lifting early but something about his squat and clean form in particular that just stuck in my brain. The 200kg clean for reps video blew my mind. Toes dead forward, the mobility, speed. Even the little lift and tap back down of the barbell before the clean that made no sense still seemed badass. I find that Broz, Cal Strength, Strength Camp, etc early era of shifting tin on YT so nostalgic when reminded of it nowadays. Fuck I'm getting old.
I grew up watching Pat and Clarence, they were my olympic lifting inspiration!
PAT MENDES!!! IMO the 800lbs no no no squat at 18 is the single most impressive squat on the internet (even over teenage clarence)
No mention of Klokov and Koklyaev? For shame.
Tian Tao's upper body is like a rock, his whole torso is just stiff and doesn't bend in anyway, the floating torso.
John looks like he is made of iron, his squat is like what an robot would do.
Clarence's tendons are made from old Stretch Armstrongs so he doesn't count.
It is said that it is actually not possible to calculate the weight on a 25kg barbell!
25kg bar only works if you have 2.5kg collars. Otherwise you're gonna have to bring in a scientist
Actually I like a lot Eoin's squat
Ashton Rouska could definitely squat 300x4+ high bar
Sika lads...expect me to be good enough for the news show one in about 10 years 🤌
Best of luck 👍 😅
What about this random guy form a korean gym, that shares protein bars?
What about me, Sikastan?
Where's the Korean heavy weight girl???
So Clarence’s “dive-bombing” is not the same as butt-winking??
you should check out training from Andrei Aramnov squatting. You NEVER hear about his squats, only the heavy jerks and snatches. But he fucking attacks his squats, to this day. Every set.
I love Andrei ❤️ 😍
Ai will be the death of us
Clarence Kennedy is a boss
John is definitely not doing high bar. I recently switched to low bar and on video mine looks even higher than his. Definitely the mass making a appearance of it being higher
The bar is sitting square on his traps, not even touching his delts. That's about as high bar as you can get
If anything you don't squat low bar lmao
Must've picked John strictly due to the point of saying how his squat is different than most powerlifters because he high-bars, lots of knee flexion, etc. It's funny because his squat is by far his worst movement of the three and it was the same even when he was natural and winning in the IPF. There are tons of powerlifters in the USAPL or PA/IPF that are a lot more efficient/skilled at squatting than him. Should have Squat Senpai here
Plant.
If you want to keep your back straight, just tilt your head up when you are standing up from the squat like Tian Tao
ngl John Haack is a weird pick, guy is barely going parallel... I guess compared to other powerlifters it's alright but compared to Tian Tao idk
But then he's also doing 350kg
i feel like alot of the tips and analysis here are just old school wieghtlifting dogma being parroted. dont flare your elbows, dont tilt your neck dont excessively knee cave, dont fold your upper back, it will fatigue you etc. i dont think this is true at all theres plenty of world class lifters who do these things, perhaps some of it is not ideal for clean and jerks and snatches but other than that its unnessecary nitpicking. ''ineffeciency'' has kind of become a buzzword among lifters to veil their opinions about ''correct technique'' rather than what can be considered factual evidience regarding human movement. human anatomy is far too different among individuals to make these statements imo as exemplified by the many different ways people squat and lift.
Please don't say grossly overweight it reminds me of the ex mother-in-law
